Unfortunately I can’t buy things online. I have no access to a credit card or anything similar. And I don’t think my family know I’m a Rayman fan, so it would be awkward at best if I started receiving Rayman-related merchandise in the post. :mefiant:

Apparently the collector’s edition is a hardcover. Apart from that, the variant cover and the limited print run, I don’t think there are any major differences.

Poor you, I know the pain :P I had to do the transaction through my landlady  she's so kind, especially regarding the risks (her previous lodger used her internet to buy porn  )... it's also a bit steep for my budget at the mo. But no worries - I'll upload all the Rayman-related pages soon as.

Hardcover? That sounds great. :D

I buy on the internet quite often (especially clothes) so it's not a big change for me.

O_O...

This day got more than fantastic by ONLY knowing about this epic discovery! Holy cow, no one knowing about this before...

I'm glad that SNES Rayman *Cough (Jimmy, oh dear XDDD)* was canceled. I'm sure the success wouldn't be the same as today. The graphics are too much "Planet Earth-like" and beta Skops is hilarious.

Curiously today I went to search for a Portuguese gaming magazine to see if they were talking about Rayman Origins (to buy it to have for my collection) but since it hadn't I didn't take it. And now that French magazine appears. How I would love to get both copies!

I already had some... problems with Rayman stuff arriving to my mailbox. :oops2:

I think it's wayback. Maybe 1993 still.

I guess it's 1993 due to the complexity on those years to make a video game. Comparing the final graphics with the "original" ones, all had a radical change of design and I'm sure it wasn't very easy to redesign all quickly.

If it does ship to the UK then I can buy it online as well, it's a matter of whether I should or not.

It would be useful knowing how it cost the mail sending to Portugal, I might have in consideration to buy it...

It cost 1.30 euros for post and packaging to England... So probably slightly more for Portugal. :( The actual thing costs 9 euros.

Altogether that's about 8 quid which isn't too bad [Retro Gamer is about 6 I think] so I bought a copy myself. Not sure what edition I've got though, but I shouldn't think it'd matter. Never heard of a magazine that's A5 before, if that's what I think it is.

It's actually more of a book than a magazine, according to the website. Proper paper, and everything. :fou:

@Haruka: I think an order can be cancelled anytime so you could only just type in your address and that to see how much the shipping is to Portugal.
@Candy: wow really? Never heard of any gaming magazine that's like that, ever.

Yup, it calls itself a 'mook' (interesting choice of words, there), and it's not available from vendors - only a select few speciality shops and a bunch of bigger ones too. And online, of course. :mryellow: These guys take themselves seriously.

@Haruka - it appears to be 1.30 euros p&p for Portugal, too. So in total, you pay 10.30 euros.

Tomorrow I'll take a look to that and see how much it cost to Portugal. But if from France to UK is around 1,30€ then it might be more or less the same...

(Sorry for the double post)

Really? It's quite cheaper than I was expecting. Plus with the badge it is 12,30€... :mryellow: I might find a way to buy them.
