Has anyone got a hoodlum inhaling the balloon when you shoot him when he glides down?

It is from the animations of the character that are in the game, it is not fanmade.

I might be wrong on this, but I believe this animation happens when you hit a hoodlum while he's flying on a balloon. Interestingly, I have found that it's a one-shot if you hit one that way, kind of like if you hit a grounded regular hoodmonger with a fully powered up shot.

Correct. That means you can get the bonus 30 points for a oneshot easier than you can on the ground. But then it's harder to convert the Black Lum afterwards…

I didn't even know about this animation (or I completely forgot about it ), thanks for the explanation and the screenshot.

I discovered it as a kid in SBTC. I was cheesed off that I couldn't convert the Lum afterwards, despite the Hoodlum himself being worth ten times more! I'm surprised so few people seem to know about it…

I've also done it more recently to the guy protected by two Hoodoos in TOTL1, which prevented me from killing said Hoodoos. That really was a major loss in points, and I probably restarted because of it

There are balloons for that Hoodlum to jump on?

It's not when the Hoodlums are jumping on balloons, it's when they are using them to float into an area.

Oh, you mean that one soldier that floats in after all the other hoodlums are beaten (including 4 hecklers, yeesh). The hoodlums jumping on the balloons was in TOTL2 anyways. I think it’s much easier to do it in SBTC2 though since there are a lot more hoodlums that come down on balloons, including that one that’s just invisibly standing in the air (and I think it’s the only other place this can occur)

And I thought this would be some unsolved mystery but it got solved
