Rayman Designer Troubleshooting

To introduce myself, I am synchronizer, and I have just joined this community, as I am a Rayman fan. Just recently I have beaten Rayman 1, 100%, and after playing such a masterpiece, I found a copy of Rayman Gold in order to use the designer. I also installed that extra fan-made program that gives you more options, unused objects, and level graphics. Since I am a beginner, I've had a couple problems that I haven't been able to figure out:

1-The Reducer Events; I place one while in the editor, press A to enter the play mode and... they don't do anything? In the original game they shrink and grow Rayman and vice-versa, but for some reason they are not working...what to do?

2-The orange collision blocks and moving platforms don't consistently work. Sometimes a platform that goes left will go right instead, sometimes platforms will go past the orange collision blocks a little bit and THEN go back the other way. Many difficulties.

(The reducers are more problematic, since they apparently don't work period O.o)

Since there is probably a Rayman Designer topic somewhere beyond the second page, this specific topic can be used for Rayman Designer troubleshooting and assistance.

I am looking forward to everyone's response. Thanks.

Ask rayfan. He helped me hack it and he knows a lot about this stuff

For the reducers to work, you must exit and re-enter the level. If you're in Cave, there's a bug, but I know how to fix it.

The collision blocks are supposed to work that way. Just place them slightly further over and you'll be fine.

Ah okay thank you, I thought it would have been something like that for the reducers. So I place them, save and exit and re-enter. Got it. (*It's a Picture City level I'm making by the way.)

One last couple things: When I place collision blocks within the in-game event editor, they don't save after exiting the level, even after I save several times. It's nothing game-breaking, but it would be easier to make accurate event movements if I could get the collision to stay.

Is it possible to make it so you don't have to collect every ting to make the exit sign appear? (Possibly an option that can be switched off/on in each level you make)I wanted to use the designer to make Rayman levels that worked as closely to the originals as possible.

Did you save while you were still in Map-mode?

Best thing to do is put a super-gendoor at the start of the level and link it to the exit.

What I do is keep the mapper open at all times, save the map, and let's say while in the mapper I placed some orange collision blocks. Then I open up "Rayman" and select my level within the other maps section. Then I press "E" to enter the in-game editor mode. I see that the collision blocks are too far to the right of my moving platform, and so I press "T" then "M". I hover over the incorrectly placed blocks and press "K to delete them. Then I select the orange blocks and place them in the correct positions. Then I press "M" and "T" to go back to the default editor mode. Then I press "S" then "Y" to save. Then I exit the level, and find that the next time I enter, the collision blocks are in the originally incorrect positions again. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. Should I close the mapper while adding events in-game? Making my level would be a LOT easier if I could have reliable collision placement in-game.

No, the newly placed collision blocks are still there if I exit out of "M" and "T" mode and re-enter. Maybe I'm not understanding you correctly...

So strange...

I don't think I could be any clearer. :|

Before pressing M and T, press S and Y to save the block types.

Okay, so I'm supposed to save before exiting the "M" mode. I'll try that next time I am on that computer, and I'll see how it goes.

EDIT:It worked; Great!
