Rayman 2 (N64) graphics problem

You see, every time I play Rayman 2: TGE on my Project64 emulator, the graphics of some colors are really bad. You see, in some moments (and places) Yellow Lums become Red Lums, and Red Lums become Blue Lums etc.

I can also see the Lums behind the wall (maybe Rayman is a Terminator :P)

My P64 version is 1.6 (I know this may not be the newest).
Is that the rom error or emulator error? Please answer.

Here, you've got the example of problem:

N64 emulators in general are not that great even after years, which is a shame.

That's a common glitch in Project 64 v1.6 with R2.

The version 1.7 has got that problem fixed.

Ah I see, haven't used any N64 emulator in a long while.

You can also just go into the options and force alpha blending.

Alpha blending? I never saw that option. Do you have a screenshot?

I think it depends of what graphics plugin you’re using. I was using Jabo’s Direct3D 6 1.5.2 and I couldn’t find the ‘Force alpha blending’ option, but it appeared in the plugin configuration options once I switched to the Jabo’s Direct3D8 1.6 plugin.

I fear I cannot find it, and I have the plugin.

Once you’ve selected the Jabo’s Direct3D8 1.6 plugin, go to ‘Options’ → ‘Configure Graphics Plugin...’ → ‘Advanced’ and you should find a ‘Force alpha blending’ box that you can tick. Bear in mind that I’m working with Project64 1.6; the options for the version you are using (1.7?) may function differently.

You can also try another more recent (and legal, unless you paid like asked for PJ64 v1.7) N64 emulator.
I recommend you Mupen64Plus, tell me if R2 runs well on it.

Nevermind Spiral, I didn't see that I actually had the advanced options hidden, otherwise I would have seen it. Silly me.

Thanks anyway. :)
