So, uh. Anyone been keeping up with Samurai Jack? This recent episode began in such a lighthearted yet very old-school way, then hit deep. That scene in the tomb, where Jack was hiding in one of the coffins was so tense, and yet very epic. They took a simple hunt, and made it full of a feeling of dread and despair, but with an epic sounding tone. I'm going to gush over that scene for a while, because it really stuck with me.

Then there's Star Wars Rebels, which had the final confrontation between Obi-Wan and Maul. It wasn't epic at all, but very slick and short. I think the emotion side of it is where it wins out, where it shows how calm and collected Obi-Wan has become, in comparison to the enraged and unhinged Maul. At last, however, Maul finds peace. For anyone who's interested in the show, I'll admit that those characters aren't the main characters, and only really show up in a few episodes. I think next time is the finale, so I wonder how it'll turn out.

I watched the first season of Rebels awhile back and TBH I didn't find it all that remarkable, the animation in particular really seems to bug me since it looks so cheap.

I agree that the animation doesn't hold a candle to the old Clone Wars, but I think they've really progressed when it comes to the plot.

Will make a full post on why this show is my favorite cartoon that's currently running right now. Really hope it gets another season.

So uh...the Samurai Jack crowd seem to be pretty upset over a certain April Fools' joke. While I'm not too beaten up about it myself, I'm sure some of you guys must have been pleasantly surprised with a new Rick and Morty. So, how was it for you fellas?

What was the April Fools? I hadn't paid attention to anything on TV for the past few or so weeks, other than weather.

Instead of airing a new Samurai Jack, they aired the Season 3 premiere of Rick and Morty. It wasn't expected and I think some folks were rubbed the wrong way for it.

In other news, I've been hearing something about a new Invader Zim, I've never watched it myself, so I'm not too sure what it's all about.

Yo the new Rick and Morty was great, TBH I haven't bothered keeping up much with Jack so I don't really have any opinion on R&M taking the spotlight from it.

Nice to hear it was worth the wait, so, is it an ongoing run or is that just a little premier before they start a new run of episodes?

Meanwhile, Samurai Jack was on this time, and I really am enjoying it. A more quiet and character driven episode, I think, and lighter. Though after watching the next time preview, I am looking very much forward to next week's episode. The Scotsman is coming back!

Bumping because I briefly experienced a nostalgic trip when I went into the living room and noticed my little brother was watching the SB-129 episode from Spongebob and Squidward was doing this:

I haven't seen the show in a very long time, though the one I've been re-watching recently is Goof Troop. :)

Ooh, it looks like they've brought a new season of the Mickey Mouse shorts. I was worried that they'd finished with them.

Bit of a bump, the new DuckTales into has been revealed: Really like the comic book aesthetic they've got.

When's it supposed to air? I wasn't too excited when I first heard about it but it does look pretty good

Looking it up, the first episode will air August 12th, with the run proper commencing mid-September.

More Ducktales, giving us a bit more insight to the dynamic between the characters:

Have to say, it's a bit weird having 2D characters in a 3D environment while using 360 video.

I'm already thinking about Christmas, and the only item I have on my list is the 7th season of The Simpsons on DVD. Part of that golden age of the series.
