The older Simpsons episodes are just gold imo. I loved it as a kid and still love it now.
As for Cartoon Network, I agree with R4Y that the older stuff was far better than what they show now. The only 2 shows I would watch on it now are Regular Show (which has ended) and Gumball because I find that funny. I understand what you mean though with how crap the shows have gotten compared to what they were back in the 90s/00s.
I sound like an old guy now complaining about "these days"

Classic Simpsons and classic Spongebob are the best.
However in case of Spongebob, from time to time I see something that makes me laugh in the newer episodes.

Yeah I strongly agree with the older Spongebob also being the best, the pre 2004 episodes.

However to be fair, the pre 2004 Spongebob episodes are the one I grew up with, so I might like them in part because of nostalgia.
Btw, has anyone watched Close Enough? I watched the first episode and some clips and it looks entertaining.

I loved Regular Show, but I haven't seen this one yet.

I've heard many people praise the Regular Show, maybe I should watch that too.

I did like this one a lot to be honest, it's the same creator.

Where I got Disney+ recently I've been watching quite a few of the old "Disney afternoon" cartoons that are on there, such as finishing off the old Ducktales and getting started with Gargoyles and Rescue Rangers. Man Gargoyles sure was a cartoon where shit got real like when Eliza got shot by Broadway. Very silly of Disney+ to edit the blood out in the actual episode but not in the recap on the following episode.

I used to watch Gargoyles when I was a kid, but for some reason I barely remember it.

That particular scene was what I remembered most about Gargoyles and when I told my partner about it he didn't quite believe it until somebody on ResetEra brought it up.

I still miss Tom & Jerry, the old ones, back when it was good.

If by the time it's safe to go to Japan it's still there I'd love to see what this Tom & Jerry museum is all about. The idea of seeing models of Tom deformities sounds brilliant.

For some reason I never liked Tom & Jerry, and what is more surprising is that I have more memories of the movie (where they sing and have to save a little girl) than the classic episodes, maybe because of scenes like this:

I was watching an old episode of the Simpsons, and it's funny how different times have gotten. They were saying Lisa was "on drugs" because she looked disorientated, and she even said "aren't you afraid I might take drugs and injure your children".

Anybody ever heard of a french cartoon called Space Goofs? The art style gives me Tonic Trouble vibes

Space Goofs has some similarities with Tonic Trouble (like being about aliens that crash-landed on Earth), but I don't see the resemblance in art style.

I see it in the colors and odd angular designs for a lot of backgrounds

I think now I see it. The angular spirals used in Space Goofs transitions remind me of the spirals used in some of the backgrounds for Tonic Trouble.

Adult swim fan here, currently 12 oz mouse and frisky dingo have been my favorite cartoons for awhile now. Im aware how hated 12 oz mouse is but it's a genuinely good show. As for frisky dingo, i consider it underrated but then again hardly anyone knows about that show.

I think the only Adult Swim original show that I watch is Rick & Morty, I used to watch Robot Chicken but that was a long time ago.
Edit:
I recently finished watching season 4 of Rick and Morty and I really enjoyed it, specially the final episode. Also, I wonder if this is the first time that there is a confirmation that God exists in the multiverse of R&M.
