Something warm usually helps anyway in those cases I find.

I learned about that being the case when I tried looking for cold relief in a Walmart. I did find something in the end but ugh it was a bit tough as a British tourist. Plus I got ID'd when I tried to buy strepsils in Target.

Though in recent years back here I got ID'd when I tried buying ibuprofen in certain places.

I've heard of being IDed for drinks, but medicine?

I think they do since people could just take them and get high.

Paracetamol = acetaminophen I believe. Can't take it either way and I can only take ibuprofen now if I ate a lot of food beforehand. I tend to just either make a hot honey & lemon drink or drink ribena anyhow.

I just did some research and yeah, acetaminophen is indeed paracetamol, just under a different name.

What? REALLY? People take medicine to get high? This sounds about as bad as that pizza milk thing I watched.

Yeah people would do this, it used to happen with cough medicine and stuff.

Yeah this was what the cashier at that co-op told me. The kids that do that think it's a cheap and cheerful way of getting high but eh, I hope they like stomach issues.

I already get those issues without doing stuff like that so I'd have hated to do that kind of stuff.

I've seen kids curled up on a rug after they sprayed an entire can of soft and gentle up their noses, and then being all "what she say" when my mum-lin-law and I made passive aggressive comments about the utter mess they made. It doesn't look like much fun and I bet going home to some angry parents must have been worse.

I'm not sure why all the kids are like that these days, technology is so advanced and they have a lot more than we did growing up, but they resort to getting high anyway.

Well social media did encourage kids to swallow liquitabs, tide pods or whatever you call those things. I bet doctors who specialise in stomach pumping had a lot of fun.

Yeah that's not a good idea at all. I don't even know what was wrong with people just having a beer, that's not good enough for most people anymore.

Yeah I have heard about people eating tide pods. I just have to wonder what the current generation is thinking making something this stupid and dangerous a trend. Then again, I’m totally out of the loop when it comes to social media.

I think when it comes to certain cases you're just better off being out of the loop.

Agreed. Some things just aren’t worth me learning about. Being high is one of them. I’ll take drunkenness instead.

I'm alright with having a drink personally since it isn't any harm if people aren't going overboard.

ALl in moderation. Whenever I drink I just have one-two drinks, that's it.

I have more than that but I still don't go overboard.
