My test album "Andromeda"

For my portfolio I've been working on creating a music album. So far it's turned out great I think, and I'd like to hear some opinions. I know I have shown the first two in the Rayman 1.5 thread, but they weren't really related. So far they're only instrumentals, but I'll be adding the vocals whenever I get my F-laryngoplasty (probably in a year or two). This album actually has a storyline, but I'll type it up a bit later. Note that I have a couple more tracks that I've finished, but I want to upload them in order, so I'm not uploading the brand new ones until the gap is filled since I didn't record them in order. That means that sometimes two or three will be uploaded at a time. These for the most part follow a standard pop progression (verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, etc.) Please also note that the sound in the videos are not very high quality. Download the 320kb/s mp3s for better quality.

I'm no expert with music, so I can't really critique you, but what I've heard sounded pretty good to me.

All those tracks are very good, especially Electrostatic Shock (except Caught in Your Paradise, I don't really like that one), but they're all a little too long in my opinion. But I'm happy I finally get to hear more of your tracks ! Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks everyone. :mryellow:

Just curious DesLife, what is it about Caught In Your Paradise? Just wanting to know because some people have said that before. If it has to do with the really messy second half (Ego Therapy), I WAS planning on redoing that since it's just so terrible. But I think the first part is fine.

Yep, the main problem is the second part, but I find the first part boring too.

Here all o' you, I wrote an "Andromeda Concerto". Like Muse's Exogenesis, this will be put in three parts at the end of my album. I'm not letting out any individual part names or storyline yet though. That'll have to wait until I actually upload the full recordings.

Keep in mind this isn't a finished product. I just recorded me playing this on a Steinway grand in a studio.

It sounds very good to me ! I'll have to listen to it again though, it's quite a long track.

I like - I like a lot. :D Might be my headphones, but some bits didn't register... meh, you have a very nice touch in my opinion, perhaps a bit speedy at times, but otherwise very light, very real.
The track itself was just what I needed today - relaxing, but with depth. So, many thanks! And keep up the good work!

Heh, well that's good lol. I noticed I was a bit speedy sometimes, that's quite unlike me, but I'm not gonna be able to record another acoustic grand until I find some more studio time which I hope is soon. :)

I've made a couple more songs. Look at the first post for a half-way mark "Interlude", "Reflection", and "Atlantic Birds". :)
