Since there's a bunch of fellow artists here, I'm curious what media is most difficult to draw with for you.
Mine is gouache and pastels, as the behavior of both is still yet to be learned, and I can rarely make a pic of decent quality with them.

As far as traditional media, I've always been more fond of pencils and shading. I can do acrylic painting too, because it's easier to cover up mistakes or work with them. But everything else uh... yeah, I'm with you.

I find anything oil based hardest to work with. I've always wanted to do a proper oil painting but I always lose my patience with oils, how Bob Ross used to do it I don't know. This was the last oil painting that I scanned, like 3 years ago.

As for oil pastels I hate those messy things with a passion. Last time I used them I was in college and they were all dry and crappy; I suspect there are good brands out there but I don't see myself using them again. I hate using willow charcoal as well, makes such a nasty noise and you have to fix it afterwards [hairspray is supposedly as effective as real fixative funny enough].

So yeah give me watercolour any time.

I find chalk pastels easiest to work with, but I’m fairly poor at art in general.

I don't like working with anything messy, like oil pastels. I don't really like colouring traditionally but I don't mind using pens.

Am I the only one that likes Oil Pastels? This is impressive, I was the only one at the Drawing A classes enjoying and handling the material.

But I think I can understand why people don't like it: its texture in kinda greasy, it dirts the fingers a lot. Blending it makes the fingers reach to a point they are burning but I also have the help of the tortillons.

I like to draw in graphite pencils, painting with colour pencils, I've been enjoying to paint with watercolours, I like to do writing/inky pen doodles...

I have a neutral opinion with vegetal charcoals, I think they are more suitable to bigger works and to represent portraits/objects/some landscapes. I have the same opinion to dry pastels and sanguines.

I never tried out yet the oils with paintbrushes so I can't comment.

I have problems with gouaches and acrylics (it was a headache to paint the beach landscape with gouaches with fairly good presentation). Colouring with coloured markers is kinda tricky aswell because I hate the stroke marks they leave in the paper. I also don't like to use indian ink with fountain pen nibs, it is very annoying.

This isn't part of drawing/painting but I like to model statues with my own hands and modeling tools.

Same here. Main reasons why I don't use oil is 1) price (both for the colors and the accessories) and 2) smell, judging what people write of it.
Oil pastels: I've got a set of 36, which is still unused... I bought it (along with a chalk pastels set), being in a "OMGOMG WANT" mood in our art shop, and still have no ideas what to draw with them.
Charcoal: Hmm... they sell charcoal pencils here, and I saw almost no difference between them and a regular 5B pencil...

Stroke marks will be gone if you smudge them with a wet brush (see my example).
