My Rayman Character Art

Since the age of 6 I have been using Microsoft Powerpoint (Don't ask) to make vector images, and me and my brother decided to make a set of Rayman 1 characters this way in a poseable form so that they can be easily posed and edited for use in fan artwork and comics. Here are the results so far. My brother started off with Rayman himself, and I chipped in and added other characters to turn it into a set.

So far I only have the goodies (Rayman and friends) to show, as there are also a set of enemies, but it's not quite complete as it currently lacks Mr. Dark and were considering also doing some of the boss characters like Mr. Sax. I was also considering adding The Photographer to the set you see here but I'm not quite sure yet.

Most of the characters here should be familiar to you, but just in case you may not know - the Raygirl you see here is not a fan character but Rayman's scrapped sidekick from the early SNES version of the game, the exclamation mark on her clothes was a little bit of artistic licence :P

Any characters with a * sign next to them are drawn by my brother, the rest are by me.

Enjoy and let me know what you think :)

EDIT: Oh and for anyone interested I did something very similar with Sonic the Hedgehog characters a while ago which can be viewed on my Deviantart page here: http://cuddlesnowy.deviantart.com/art/S ... 7064&qo=13 snd here: http://cuddlesnowy.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2mzy4t but some of the character artwork here are outdated and since been redrawn more accuaratley

Funny style you have. I like the simplicity. :mryellow:

I like how you and your brother are hand and hand in liking Rayman. It's nice to hear especially in this day and age. Do you if I ask how old you are?

Those are some very nice vector images coming out of PowerPoint! Congratulations!

I don't have any projects where they could be useful in, though. :(

Yeah I know Baby Mosquito was reffered to as Bzzit in Rayman Revolution but I don't really count it as Rayman 1 continuity as it was never mentioned in the first game and the mosquito called Bzzit in RR is smaller and has different legs. I called him Mozzy here as it was kind of a nickname that me and my brother adopted for him :mryellow:

I actually called Moskito Mozzy in an old full length Rayman 2 comic I did. :P Wow, speaking of that comic, it was over 400 pages but I completely forgot about it heheh. I should go review it.

Please forgive the nearly year old thread bumping, I am really sorry about this but I thought it was better then making a new topic on the same thing.

Anyway, after a year later I finally completed the baddies set:

Yeah, I also included some of the common Rayman items and various stuff encountered throughout the game.

I also have the other set in higher quality then I uploaded last year:

Very nice! Quite a vast improvement I must say. Is Raygirl down there from the SNES version?

Yep, I had to take a few artistic liberties though as we've only ever seen her on a small magazine picture.
Am I the only one to notice that she has the same plait as the Bomber Clown in the final game?

I was originally going to post this in another thread, but I thought it would be better to have just one topic for my Rayman art, or things might get a bit cluttered. I hope it gets noticed here (probably not as much :P)

I suddenly got the spontaneous urge to draw a Rayman character Origins style, but I thought I'd be different and do someone who isn't in the game (well, they maybe and it hasn't been revealed, but even so, we haven't actually seen him).

Enjoy!

Now if whole Origins would be like this, I would buy an X360 with it just to leave it at school, then do the same with ~3 other boring places. Good job!

And now it's time for the sequel, which is a result of a request on Deviantart:

I love it, it captures the RO style very well with your own touch to it.

This was the result of a popular request on the comments of the other two images to do The Magician un-teensie-fied (I still think that the species change was a bit random)

Okay, I need sleep now, all this school work interspersed with Rayman drawing has proved to be a very exhausting task Image

Damn I love it! Though his right hand thumb is a bit off.

I really didn't like the fact that they turned the Magician into a teensy, it just didn't make sense.

I like the first style better XD Reminds me of the Simpsons for some reason, but I love both the Magicians <3 and your art is really good!
