I bought the game Rayman 3 on PC (Windows XP) 3 months ago (it's been 3 months I have pain), I have no problem but the sound bug, and he crashes and lag like a robot so we can't understand anything.
To fix that I need to get the patch 1.0.2 or 1.0.1 but i can not found it except on mac>. "
I managed to extract it (the mac) but there is no executable file so I stop to try.
I still play the game without sound, but it was very sad ...

Thank you for help if you can ^ ^ I would really like to play the game with sounds

Does your Windows XP and your sound card are updated?

Try to confirm that. After, uninstall and install again Rayman 3 to see if the sound works.

I don't know, I just installed it, when i had windows 7, the graphics were really bad but the sounds great, now the sound is bad and graphics good, I put all the drivers i know but i'm not sure that I have all the audio drivers, but on rayman 2 and on youtube stuff like that the sounds work well

Try to update your sound card drivers.

I don't know my Sound Card Driver >.<
I search it on my Materials list but it doesn't appear, may you help me please (i'm real nuub :X )

Try going to the sound components section of the System Information on your computer. You should be able to get to it via the start menu if you go to Accessories > System Tools.

EDIT: I've had a quick look online and I've only been able to find one other person having lagging issues with their game of Rayman 3 and it turned out their PC was too slow to handle it. I don't know if the same applies to you. I'd be able to have a further look in if you could describe your problem in a little more detail. You mention 'lag' issues. Are you refering to the sound acting choppy, or the game itself was lagging (EG. cutscenes and game are choppy, Rayman is reacting to slowly to the controls, etc.)?

Now i went back to windows 7, I lauch the game, the sound works perfectly but the graphics are bad, I can't see the basics texture :X
I think this problem happened to lot of people so if you can help me on that way, it will help others too

Somehow I doubt that a computer that couldn't handle R3 could handle Windows 7...

I can play Modern Warfare 2 or Oblivion IV easy so why I can't play this game , with windows xp > Good Graphics Bad Sound, Windows 7 > Bad Graphics , Good Sound :'(

What I'm starting to think is for you to get a new computer, I have no idea how to help in this case... Rayman 3 always worked great for my computers.

Update your graphics card too!

IF that fails, you might want to check with the registry. Perhaps, Rayman 3 was programmed directly for XP(it was released during the XP era) but yeah, Windows can be a pain sometimes. Or get a good graphics card, don't use the bogus one that comes with Win7.

I faced the same thing when I got my iMac and I also got a windows side for my mac, with win7. I failed to play the Sims 2 because of the registry between the older Sims 2 & Win7. I managed to search up stuff and it lead me to doing somethings(that I forgot now)with the registry section. I installed some of the NET frame stuff to play older games and I succeeded! You might want to do research on google, find other computer forums and find the solutions. Try finding a patch too.

I'd actually now argue that the computer is too GOOD rather then bad, considering you can play Modern Warfare and other recent games perfectly fine. It is the case sometimes that newer computers have trouble running older games, wierd I know
