Rayman Activity Centre

I've known about the existance of this game for some time and I can't help but notice that there is little to no information about it on the internet. I thought it looked interesting and would also contain more Rayman 1 style art/animation which can't be a bad thing. This is why I have actually ordered a copy online and plan to share footage of the game online!
Some of the things the game apparantly contains:
*Paint and color in Betilla's studio
*Learn to assemble geometric shapes, then watch them come alive!
*Improve pattern recognition skills with the Toons!
*Develop letter recognition while helping the clowns in Rayman's Storm Adventure!
*Stories with Betilla
*Sing along with the Magician
*Learn French with Joe the Cricket (Cricket?)
More information when my copy comes through the post

'Joe the Cricket'? Do you think it could mean...Joe from Rayman? I'd love to see how he'd look and what he's doing speaking French...

Perhaps ‘cricket’ is a derogatory term for Joe’s alien species, deriving from their vague resemblance to the insects. A bit like the ‘prawns’ from District 9.
I’m looking forward to more information on this game.

It is actually about a Band Land Grasshopper called Joe, due to a official BINK video of Ubisoft about the game, but it was in French.

Really? That's interesting, another Joe! Someone should add articles for these obscure Rayman 1 spinoff title characters on the wiki.
I just got home to find that my game had come through the post! Just about to give it a go, but as I said, I've litterally just got in
Brace yourself for out of focus photograph:
I warned you!
Look's like the previous owner of the game was a 4-6 year old as they decided it would be fun to trace around the Rayman logo in a marker. I have no complaints though, I was like that when I was little

Can you tell us what the thing on the balloons is Electoon?
Also, note the pep pill-induced face in the bottom right, very strange...

It is a clown from Candy Chateau.
Electoon, would be possible for you to share us the ISO file of the game disk?

I've actually had this game for a year now, but I've never played it because I just wanted the magnet that came with it.

I remember when they used to sell this in WHSmith but I never picked it up which was a first by my standards.

That's why I'm asking if Electoon can share us his game online in a ISO format for we all try it.

Sorry, I probably can't give any more info/ISOs/videos today because I've got to go out this evening. I hope to get some more up tommorow. The game is fun and features funny animations when you win each task. We also get a bit extra music (including some strange Rayman-esque song I've never heard

) new backgrounds and some high res versions of existing art (such as the Dream forest tiles)
EDIT: Oh and yes that is a clown on the balloons. There's a whole game featuring him, where he's in love with someone and wants to write a poem. Kind of random

What kind of clown writes poetry?

I own Activity Centre but I can't record gameplay at all past Betilla's intro without it going out of sync. You'll probably beat me to getting any more content out there, so best of luck to you.

It'll be great to have other people play the game- I loved it when I was young.
The video seems to freeze after Rayman jumps in the balloon..Is that supposed to happen? I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't because the actual Activity Centre game freezes on the profile selection screen on Vista and 7.
Though from what I managed to watch, it's interesting. Though the intro to the actual game is different.

Eveil =/= Evil. Plus, the link is safe.

If not, then 'eveil' is French for 'Early-learning activities'

Umm, a poetic clown?

Are you running the game in compatibility mode? I couldn't get mine to work until I did so.
EDIT: WHOAH! That version of the game is really different to the one I have

! It has similar activities but is really really different. It even has more Rayman backgrounds and The Rayman 2 logo....wut? Whether it is because the French version of the game is very different or what I really don't know. Expect something quite different from my copy...
DOUBLE EDIT: Heh, Joe the Cricket teaches English in the French one. I think it's a slightly different game, and possibly newer as well because the box art had Rayman 2 style Rayman on....

So far I've tried Win95 and Win98/ME. I'll update if it works, but so far Compatability Mode is doing nothing.
I am running on Windows 7. XP users and below should have no problem, I assume..

Don't get me started on Virtual Machines. XD Just ask Haruka. I make the most stupifying errors.
Though thanks for the tip. If I ever get more experience in using one, I will try to give it a go.
