Re: Rayman and Elfy Food...
I'm quite thankful I managed to contain myself.
But yeah, go listen to a Scottish accent, then to a British, then to an Australian, all of them are distingfully different. (Please excuse my bad spelling)

Re: Rayman and Elfy Food...
Scottish is a variety of British English though. You're probably referring to Received Pronunciation, which is arguably the most recognised English accent.

Re: Rayman and Elfy Food...
Exactly. And it is way different, harder to understand by sudden what they say when you aren't used to. I can remember an English class where we had to write answers for the questions while listening an interview done to a Scottish man. It was quite funny to listen the reaction of my classmates thought.Serza5 wrote:Scottish and British accents aren't the same ffs.

Where did you hear that from? I maybe thinking of that sterotypicall Englsih British accent but there is no way a Scottish accent could be a variety of British English as you say, Scots have been around longer than the English have.Xenon wrote:Scottish is a variety of British English though. WHADAFUUUUU.
II didn't say Scottish and British are similar, I said British and Australian are kind of similar, which they are. Anyway they all came mostly from the same heritage that all falls under the English (mistakenly said 'British') category.
@Xenon:
Yes.
@Serza:
You high man? The Scottish are English. The British are English. The Australians are English. The British are English The English are the English, they're just different branches of the same originating culture. Also I've never heard about the Scots being older than the Brits before. But you sure as heck can't say the Scots are older than the Ainglos because Scottish is a Branch of English; it's like saying you're older than your birth mother.

Scotland is a constituent of Great Britain, hence it is still British, although not English (unless you mean the language)!Serza5 wrote:Where did you hear that from? Not to mention I'm 1/3 French, 1/3 British, and 1/3 German, but QUEBECOIS are the French Candians, not the rest of this country.

Becuase :RayFan9876 wrote:Serza, now why would you want to do that?
1. You insulted my country by saying it came from England and
2. Blamed it on booze, that's never an excuse for something like this, only for stuff like if you're late for work.
