You should really play them, especially the second game, although you should experience the first game. 
Ty is like my second favorite video game franchise, and my favorite is Ty 2. Have you been able to play them?
Yesterday, I played Ty 2 and 3 and it was pretty good. I played some more Ty 3 today. I have mixed feelings on it, but I like it. I got Ty 3 late last year and beat it soon after just so anyone knows. I had to get the Gamecube version because the PS2 one won't work on PS2 slim.
Recently, it was Ty's 20th anniversary and they did some stuff for it. Earlier in the year, there was like an animation which kicked things off. There was also a newsletter. Anyways, the didn't reveal what game they would release until recently. It happens to be a better version of Ty 4, only on Switch so far. Don't let the animation at the beginning turn you off.
