I can jump from my base to the ennemie's sewers in double cross without thrid jump.

Sandman is fun to use, but I don't like the 15hp penalty.

It's like the kunaï thing for the spy. :/ A penality than makes your character as vulnerable as Mario in SMB1. :U (You see what I mean, right?)

Or "As vulnerable as an Aperture Science Sentry Turret" on a rocking chair.

It's quite hard to get away after you're discovered, so I don't mind the health penalty. I prefer the classic knife though n_n

Oh, you can get away if you're caught, you just need to think fast. First: If someone is after you, use your gun. (Ambassador Powa And if you have a Dead Ringer, use "L'Etranger") Try to get as many Medic Kit as you can, try to avoid being in the battlements on your way back to your base, if you're ignited and if you have a DR, use it: even tought they'll still see you as you are on fire, it'll not hurt you.
And NEVER USE THE FREAKING KUNAI.

I rarely use it, but it's pretty usefull to keep a distance with the soulles mons... I mean, Pyros.
