A quick bang from nowhere seems illogical to me, even more illogical than a God.
Aside from the fact that that was an extremely inaccurate description of the Big Bang (which was neither an explosion nor the beginning of the Universe (although the term 'beginning' may wrong to apply to the Universe because time may not have existed before the Big Bang (which in turn would make this usage of the word 'before' meaningless, but I digress))), it is to me an extremely poor reason to believe in a god. Are you seriously saying that you believe in god partly because there are some things science can't explain? Is that something you do every time you come across a phenomenon that can't be explained? Assume that god is behind it? Learn the lesson of history here: Up until the 19th century it was common to believe that god had created all the animal and plant species individually, for the large part because nobody had come up with a plausible mechanism that could explain the diversity of life without a divine designer. Then Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace came along and established the Theory of Evolution. People have attributed all sorts of things - sickness, the rainbow, the motion of the Sun and the planets etc. - to god, and one by one, science has found natural explanations for them. The fact that there are still gaps in our knowledge, says nothing more than that there are still things we don't know. There's no reason to believe that god hides in any of the gaps. And just because you find the Big Bang Theory to be illogical (whatever that means) doesn't make it wrong. Science and logic don't always coincide. For example: Most people would find it illogical that a feather and an elephant fall at the same rate in a vacuum, but it's still true. Similarily, finding the Big Bang Theory to be illogical is a poor reason to reject it and explain the formation of the universe with 'god', which explains everything by explaining nothing.

If I believe, and God exists, I go to heaven.
If I believe, and God doesn't exist, I die.
So you only believe in god because you think you have nothing to lose by doing so? Do you have any real reason for believing in god, then (by that I mean evidence), or have you just forced yourself to believe because you think you might go to heaven because of it? Do you really, in your heart of hearts, believe that yahweh actually physically exists? I suspect that you really don't believe it, but that you are afraid to admit this to yourself.

I've reposted my last post in the religion topic. All further posts on this matter should be made there, just in case this discussion goes on for a while, in which case there is no reason not to continue it in the topic which, after all, was made for these kinds of discussions.
Religion topic here!

Not on the
current extent. For example, we do not currently know exactly how gravity is formed. But we know a lot of details about how it works, and we're so far able to
simulate it, which is only some steps behind a pure reproduction. But you shouldn't underestimate humans capabilities for gaining knowledge, especially as it continues to evovle.
Haruka wrote:There are supernatural events that science cannot even explain.
Supernatural? Which is? Thelogical claims is only a creation of the imagination, until there's solid evidence that proves otherwise. Paranormal activity does often always have logical explainations, they're often just hard to discover.

I was writing my post before Tobbe expectations, as I was leaving the tab open for some minutes.
Please move most of the posts, as two different threads will clutter up the discussion.

No posts will be moved (at least not by me

). Just continue the discussion in the religion topic.
Back to the deadly sins: I have a proposistion to discuss: The best way to become a moderator/amin of RPC is to become an angry person. Based on the fact that I, Matyuv and DesLife are the only angry one here, apparently, and we all have fancy-colored names.

I have the exact same results, and I agree with your statement!

Before I did the test I said Envy is my Deadly Sin, cause I've always known it. But then I did the test, and I also got Envy, so yeah.. it's totally true! XD (and I hate it when I can't stop feeling envious, it feels so bad! ><)

So hey guys.
I got envy.
I think me choosing green as my preferred color was the tipping point considering I was nearly equal in Sloth and Greed.

I got Envy.
The names of the sins automatically remind me of the Homunculi from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Your Result: Greed
What it is: Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness. Why you do it: You live in possibly the most pampered, consumerist society since the Roman Empire. Your punishment in Hell will be: You'll be boiled alive in oil. Associated symbols & suchlike: Greed is linked with the frog and the color yellow.
It could be possible that I am this... lolz.
I wished for more wishes. : P
Also, I thought of Greed from FMA as well.
