Await mah fangame, dear lass - it is ridden with returns of many characters. Well - it will be, now I can finally start making it on my computer, since the engine that will hopefully be driving it is now available.

Alright, I have another question:
Years since the first release of Rayman, the hero has gone through a lot of changes. Are there any regrets you have about the games? Any changes you would have liked to make?

not sure how to ask this buuut: how did ya come up with the story of rayman being "uncomplete" and we'll find out how he became the one we know today (or actually before) in this game?

i mean the story could've been about something else eventhough it's a prequel x]

I am simply trying to encourage people to ask good questions – this may be the only chance we’ll ever get to interview the creators of Rayman, so we need as many insightful questions as we can get. Of course the short-sighted ones will be filtered out by the selection process; my primary aim is not to reduce the number of pointless questions being asked, but to increase the number of meaningful ones.
Sorry, mr. quotes, who turned you into the lord of good questions? I talked about this before: let people make the questions they want.

I'm not asking who's the final boss or something like that, I'm just trying to stop arguments by asking the creator himself if really mr dark will be the main antagonist. That's all, is anything wrong with that? some people just want to know about the new game itself because we think we know enough about rayman 1, 2 or 3 or we just don't care. Sorry Michel, but seriously do you want to answer the same question again and again? "what inspired you to make rayman?" he already answered a lot of stuff like that at the e3 interview! he sketched him when he was a teenager and blah blah blah... Now, I don't have any problem if people want to know more about the production itself of the games, because I find it totally interesting, but come on, can't we ask questions about rayman origins without you complaining about that?

P.D: since the new trailer, I think I can survive with that, I don't want any other spoiler, because this game just looks amazing, and I'm gonna buy it. the only thing I want to know is if the dark teensy is or not mr. dark. "yes! he obviously is" no, you're not Michel so please be quiet until Michel answers that. If he says "yes, he is. We turned him into a teensy" or "no, he's just a new villian/evil assistant" I'll be happy with any answer because finally the flamewars will be over.

Even if they choose to ask this question, Ancel will probably ignore it or something. He'll most likely answer something like "Yeah, you know, in fact, that's interesting, because it's terrific, how the game is 2D and all the enemies are old and new..." No offense, Ancel, but this is pretty much your default answer to everything. :fou2: :lololol:

Questions do not have to be RO-oriented? Cool!

8. Was financial department interested in sequel to RM?

Do you really expect Michel Ancel or the developers to answer such a question? :\

Well, Rayman turned out limbless, just like all other characters in Rayman 1, because the systems in those days weren't powerful enough to handle limbs. He would have had limbs if it weren't for that little technical problem! And if he would have had limbs, he would have most surely not turned into that iconic character we know - the hero with an aubergine for a body and no length restrictions on his arms ... because he doesn't have any!

This will be again a RO question but I hope I could be answered in this one: what was your inspiration for the entire art direction?

How many magazine issues of Rayman were made?

Because I have one, but I don't know if any others were made, and if it is a rare comic.

I don’t recall claiming myself to be ‘the lord of good questions’. I asked a few good ones, as did several other people. I have already explained that my purpose is to make sure everyone realises the magnitude of the opportunity at hand and does not squander it.
sergiomonty wrote:I'm not asking who's the final boss or something like that, I'm just trying to stop arguments by asking the creator himself if really mr dark will be the main antagonist. That's all, is anything wrong with that?
I don’t see any arguments about whether Mr Dark is the antagonist. I think the word you are searching for – the thing you’re trying to put a stop to – is ‘speculation’. In any case there’s no way the developers will reveal a massive story spoiler.

You seem to be overlooking my central point: every single question asked by you and others about the content of Rayman Origins will be answered – when you play Rayman Origins. If your questions are accepted, you’ll regret them once you’ve played through the game. (Or maybe you won’t regret them – maybe you just don’t care – but I do.) If you’ve got some insightful Origins questions that won’t be answered unless you ask them, go right ahead – I just think it would be wasteful to ask them things we’ll find out anyway. Ancel ‘sketching Rayman as a teenager’ has nothing to do with his inspiration, and is a ridiculous way to sum up the type of questions I am proposing. Are you saying you think that’s how he’s going to answer all our questions about the inspirations and creative processes behind the previous games?

I’m sorry, but the Teensy is absolutely and incontrovertibly Mr Dark. I was already certain of this from the moment he was revealed, but when I saw the Teensy with Mr Dark’s dark-blue-with-black-shadowy-folds cloak and hat... I am finding it difficult to understand the continued resistance to this truth.

It's pretty much like if the nymph from the trailer was not confirmed to be Betilla, so there'd be an argument about that. It's exactly the same case, the only difference is the confirmation of the nymph being Betilla. I personally think that's also the case with the fairy from the new trailer, which sums it up as a matter of opinion.

I was only mostly sure that the first fairy was Betilla, and I’m not at all convinced that the recent fairy is Ly, but I am absolutely, positively certain that the Teensy in the trailers is Mr Dark. In fact, I’m willing to bet sixty-thousand Tings that it’s him. Any doubters want to put their Tings where their mouth is?

Newborns are usually quite silly, so may be the same with Ray :)

I highly doubt that the tribal girl is Ly too. She must probably be any other kind of nymph if not a native.

Spiraldoor,if you want good questions, why don't you ask what you think you should ask and let people alone? You've already stated the magnitude of the opportunity so now,let people ask what they want what they really relly want! I wanna I wanna Iwanna I wanna really really really wanna zigh-a-zigh aah! Ups,I'm going off-topic xD Well,I have another one:

Is Ly the girl which was in a Bubble Dreamer bubble in the new trailer?

There was a long discussion about that in the forum, but no one has asked about that...

I accept the challenge, but only if the teensy is mr dark from the begining of the game, because I find posible that later in the game he will get "overpowered" and change his appeareance to the mr. Dark we al know. That girl was totally confirmed to be Betilla a long time ago.

Oh, and TK is right, you can make good questions (I don't find them bad) but leave people alone, good questions are not your problem. I'm trying not to be offensive, sorry If I annoy you, but seriously, stop it.
• Who selects the questions?
We do. In order to have a reasonable number of questions chosen and ordered in a coherent way, we will select the best ones and base our interview on them.
got it?
