Great! I can't wait to finally put my modelling skills to the test. It's quite fun to do and I believe a lot less hassle than character animations.

The troll is his sig, not an image to accompany the post. ;)
That's quite great! I had an entirely different landscape in mind, but this is a lot better (and harder :P). Now, question time! Before I start modelling, I need to really know what the image is about. So:
1. The lily pad in the background on the stream floats forwards so that it can suffice as a platform as it passes by?
2. The small 'palm tree' in the middle on the ground has a walkable surface on its top?
3. Same for the three palm trees near the top of the image?
4. The rock sticking out of the waterfall is a surface on which one could stand?
5. The top two ledges of the waterfall are surfaces on which one could stand?
6. The 'leaf' on the foreground on the left is a platform too?

That is all - for the rest it's quite clear and comprehensible. Nice work!

PS
Did you add any of the 'brown patches' of leaves I mentioned in my description of the level?

1: that's a really nice idea! But I drawed it for decoration
2: yep
3+4+5+6: nope just decoration

edit: oops I might kinda have forgotten the patches.....

Since you responded negatively to questions 3-6, I will have to ask a next one:
7. How large is the map? Or how high did you imagine the characters would jump?
You could use Rayman as a measuring stick - say, call it '3 Raymans high' or something like that.

PS
No problem - I'll add them myself.

See the palm tree in the middle?
Rayman would be around that size.. But a little bigger

PS: sorry for the branches.
I was drawing and I forgot about them :oops2:
FORGIVE ME, MIGHTY LORD OF THE SHROOBS!

That's quite alright. They wouldn't fit in your concept of the environment anyway. Maybe I can use that hole in the tree in the middle as a Spider spawner instead. That would work pretty well - evil eyes staring at you all the time and then suddenly something pops out or grips you. Alright, so it's quite a small arena then. That's actually a real good one to start with - it's got the basic platforming height differences, the annoying killzone in the river, some moving parts and a bit of scenery. Alright, I'll get to working on this!

Yay!
My first concept that get's converted to 3D... WOOT!

Fun fact: I wanted to make it bigger but I scrapped that idea (there are some leftovers from that area in the far right... Yep, mushrooms)

I was serious, but yet there was a touch of trolling in it, like a potato having a good side inside but a rather bad outside. Think of it as a guitar: It has strings that each play a different note and give a different idea to the basic concept of the point made within a statement. As you progress the words, you carefully think trough each word, but that potato seems to somehow invade the strings of the guitar, which turn out to be a lie after all. I mean, you noticed that I used the colour black instead of brown to explain the humiliating cure of this odd process. Now, think again about the word ''great'' and check the Urban Dictionary for it's explanation. Go to Google translate and change the definition to Vietnamese, and then back to English. Remember that the guitar wasn't a lie and that the outside of the potato was halfway good. Change the colour from black to blue and you are practically trolling yourself when you read the truth of whether I was saddened or pleased about your MP3 file of your Super Mario Galaxy recording from 2004.

So was the guitar a lie and was the potato good from the inside? And did you see what happened after you changed the word ''brown'' to green and then translated it to Norwegian? :P

Confused? :P

Please can we stop the trolling? Or should I call in the banhammers?
In other news, I'm going to start creating that level in 3D now. Exciting!
