I never k new what to think about that lego logo, I saw it all the time when I used to play lego racers. i guess it creeped me out but then again almost every logo on almost every ps1 game I had creeped me out especially the act ps1's actually boot up logo

Anyway, after an hour of building, 15 minutes of which were dedicated to finding a gear I had dropped, Lewa is complete, here he is in a low quality laptop camera photo along with Gali, the two golden masks I have, the two skull spiders I have in the background, as well as me which I seem to have somehow ended up gradually appearing more and more with each photo I have taken.

Me too. I played tons of games that had these kind of intros as their startups. Try some old PS1 games and you'll hear the same kind of synthy buzz if you're seeing the older, golden-seal Playstation logo. Now that's a creepy sound.

I remember playing Lego Racers on PC, it was a fun game. :D

I remember to have watched a commercial before for PlayStation about a Lego game, I think it involved digging but I don't remember the name.

I can't remember if it was LR 1 or 2 that I enjoyed tons. It was a game where you could build your own carts, anti-grav levels and you had crazy shortcuts in every track and this strange wormhole item that zipped you close to first place... good stuff.

I've tried the ps1 and n64 versions of LR1 in the hopes that they'd be as fun as the PC one but with easier couch play, unfortunately the controls are not responsive enough for me :(

Damn you PC, I don't want to play with you!

^The warp things sounds like LR1, but I don't remember anti-gravity in the first one, that sounds like LR2... so maybe you played both?

I only ever played the first lego racers, though I bought the sequel a couple years ago for pc it never installed properly. Though I do remember beating the first lego racers, and god that felt like an achievement, took a while but warp spam always wins :P

Actually with all my recent reminiscing about Bionicle I do remeber seeing this statue fairly often in the toys section of a jenners in princes Street, I loved this thing :D

Wonder were these are now, and if they're still assembled, how much they would actually be worth if they were up for sale.

It's not an entirely bad idea, but I'm not so sure how well it'd go, seeing as Bionicle has popped up now and then in the past, I don't want to break the flow of this thread in the process. I might be privy to adding this latest batch. Wonder if any of the other mods have any thoughts?

Master killed this topic by threatening to have it change homes :(

Anyway, in order to attempt revivitisation, I will now mention some boring shit

I'm currently waiting on a 2001 tahu from the americans, and that's the extent of my toy news

@MrBadGuy I love that Tahu, I am still a proud owner of it. :D

@CHRDutch I do, but I believe I played very few with those. I liked LEGO best.

Guess what I lifted on FNAC yesterday (the online order was quite fast :o!):

And by pure randomness, I bought a Mixels, who I never heard of this before:

Help, I have a small LEGO fever again! :oops2:

I fear that I may be somehow responsible for your renewed LEGO fever... I saw it happening and said nothing, and LEGO is a very expensive habit to support! Just don't go too crazy!

I had two of tahus for some reason, but one of the haus is broken and the other is MIA

You can buy spare parts in BrickLink.com in order to complete again your other figure.

Indeed, LEGO is an expensive hobby hence why I can't collect all the new sets. For now I will stay with the Fire duo, and with the Lord of the Skull Spiders in case I find him.

I have been tempted to buy a LEGO Architecture set in these last months too :P.

EDIT: Just watched this:

Hmm, so I was nosing about the Bionicle 2015 videos, and I came across this:

It'd be interesting to see if they did try to tie original and new Bionicle.

Innnnnteresting. Hm, while I hope they don't starting Crisising the Bionicle universe, I can see how it would work.

What interests me most is that the '01 Toa were anomalies within Gen 1; all the others (bar a few exceptions), including chronologically earlier Toa, were created from Matoran. The '15 Masters share their identities with the anomalous '01 team... there's definitely potential for a shared external, time-space-rift-aided origin.

Interesting indeed, back in 2001 the Vahi was pretty rare to get in the Kanohi boosters.

Talking about Kanohi:

Noice, I don't have many kanohi myself :(

I do have a badass shiny silver hau that came with a cd and a matoran though... think it was called a power pack or sumtim

The hau is probably the most attractive of the kanohi, in my opinion. Good thing they also used it as the main promotional mask.

I imagine it must've been quite hard to come up with 12 original and very distinct designs, and yeah the hau is my favourite too.

I loved that rusted hau they used to use on posters and that. I guess it was infected or something

Or was it supposed to be the makuta :O
I think I'm dumb...

In TMOL I'm pretty sure that the giant mask used to signify the sleeping Mata Nui was hau (at the end it gains eyelights). I think the promotional shot does symbolise Mata Nui as the mask merges with the island like so:

Makuta Pterodactyl had a stupid mask.
