Well I had the opposite reaction: that the image is half mata nui and half makuta, makes sense, no?

It looks a little different, but I still think I'm right :P

What you talking about dinosaurs?

Oh, that's from the Flash game? I'd never seen Makuta wearing hau, but eyup that's it.
I still think the hau in the promotional shot is not associated with Makuta - it's most famously worn by Tahu - while I can't find a picture, it's definitely in the movie as a symbol for Mata Nui. Go to the ending bit.

I wouldn't use a 2003 movie to explain a promotional image from 2001 :P

Not when it comes to this anyway, not much thinking ahead here methinks

AFAIK, this is the only way mata nui was represented back in '01

Yet the 2003 movie uses the 2001 promotional image as part of its promotion :P

The LEGO movie even used a 2001 bionicle promotional image during the film

2001 bionicle lives on

It will never die :salute:

That mata nui rock does actually show resemblances to the hau. The o shaped mouth, the three cheek lines...? I am the straw clutcher, clutcher at the straws

I do have a badass shiny silver hau that came with a cd and a matoran though... think it was called a power pack or sumtim
Oh man, I would love to get the Power Pack. I remember seeing it as a kid, but I could only bring one thing with me. I was passing some days in the grandparents where they had no computer so it influenced my decision in getting the Boxor instead of the PowerPack. I think I regret a little...

EDIT: If anyone is still looking for the Toa Mata, I believe this is a pretty good deal:

*Bump*

OK, I really got a "small" backsliding about LEGOs because I got few more stuff and now I swear that I stop :oops2:. I also admit I have been with the "bug" of assembling with quite some time already, but none of the sets I was seeing on the market were pleasing me. Suddenly BIONICLE is back and other cool sets from LEGO.

I was thinking in getting the Eiffel Tower from LEGO Architecture but one of these days, I found this set from LEGO Creator:

http://www.lego.com/en-gb/creator/produ ... -creatures

I found it equally cool (and cheaper) so I ended up getting this one, and the dragon is really nice looking :D, the arms, hands, legs, feet, head, jaw and tail move!

http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m353 ... ycy053.jpg

I want to try out the other two options of assembling, but maybe only next month I will go for the scorpion.

Then I got more Mixels. These creatures are really cute and I am interested in seeing how they look like when assembled all together 3 by 3 (again, probably next month I will try that). I didn't get the other 3 available from wave 4 since I am not quite fond of their design but I don't mind anyway:

http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m353 ... 31vwds.jpg

Two of them brought even smaller creatures (not in the photo), I think they are the minions of the bad guy. I should watch more episodes of the cartoon on-line, but I think they do not pass LEGO Mixels here.

And I also found the Lord of the Skull Spiders when I went to a Toys R Us to look for rare amiibos and as a coincidence they were making a 20% discount in all BIONICLE figures. I did not assemble it yet but I will show photos once I do. My father saw me buying this one and I think he did not like a lot, especially because "you did not get over BIONICLE yet" :oops2: .

I mean, I don't buy LEGOs for 8 years so I believe it is not anything bad.

As a side note, it impressed me that all these years that I don't enter in the shop, the LEGO section is still in the very place where I used to remember. It was like a sanctuary in my childhood! I gave a peek to the other products they have and I faced a giant box from LEGO Technic. Got 250€ to spend in a Volvo bulldozer? :mryellow:

Hmm, there's plenty of stuff I've missed out on that I'd have liked to get, such as the first voyager Beast Hunters Optimus Prime (the one with the wings).
