Unknown creature in tree in Rayman 3 (question)

In Rayman 3 in the level "Fairy Council" (second stage), there eyes are inside the tree (attached below).
Does anyone know what that creature is in full body?

They're called
Noirôdeurs and nothing is known about them except that they spend their entire lives in these holes watching everything. Quite creepy really…

The other topic is in another forum and was specifically wiki-focused, as it dealt with the precise question of the name of those creatures in English. Now the question is dealt with (there doesn't seem to be one), it might be best to leave the wiki thread alone and consider this the main topic for Noirôdeur-related stuff.
