This is the main topic to discuss the speedrunning of Rayman M, Rayman Arena and Rayman Rush. Share the latest news, runs and techniques here, all while competing with the fastest runners!
I had no idea it was even possible to play games on the Internet Archive. I don't think it's been used for speedrunning, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if you're playing on a web or desktop emulator. Do you plan on submitting a few runs?

I had no idea M/Arena was so broken, it's interesting with regard to the game mechanics but quite boring to watch after a bit.

Good to see some activity for Rayman Rush too (even if those were submitted two months ago ), it looks like all of the last runs were from five years ago. Now if only Elite could get the Internet Archive version of Rayman Rush to work!
Just gave it a try. Apart from the fact that it ran really slowly on my machine for some reason (probably due to trying in an old Firefox), and that the controls are entirely unsuitable (the same button used for jump makes the browser menu bar pop up!), I had no idea how primitive it would look!

What's an all levels run in Rayman Rush, a marathon? Anyway, congratulations stepke for a first run.

Fun fact: I clearly remember a 9-years-old me doing a record of 29 seconds in a First Ruins lap, which would be the 2nd world record at the moment, but clearly I have no living proof of the fact, being the fact happened in 2004. Looks like I have to try again!

Oh, that's a shame! But I guess you're a better player than the 9-year-old you, so I'm confident you'll succeed! Well, that is, if you try.

Well, if nothing else, she appeals to superior players, I guess
I look forward to seeing your Rayman M records, then.

I suppose I should try to see what might happen if I took all the energy I've been putting into this and this and threw it at Rayman M instead – a good start would be trying to gather the patience to get through the "On and On" gamemode. Of course, since I'm using a HD texture pack, every time I play that mode I get frustrated with loading screens. Then I start thinking about ways to hack it to keep more data in memory, and before I know it I'm back to reverse engineering! Another problem is that once I do get the RRR leaderboards working, I'll probably become obsessed with maximizing my score there rather than in Rayman M
