Rayman Pirate-Community

Aside from the normal artworks Im uploading, Im now dedicating a thread for my new mini project in the works, Rayman 4! My normal Rayman work, not related to this project, will remain in my other thread.

This is not a game development. This is for a story with my own concept art to tell it (fully rendered and sketch form). It will tell the story of his next (unofficial) inspired installment, envisioned as a game but told with my own art.

It will be uploaded to Youtube in parts, as a visual story with music from the 3 main games, to go along with it. At the moment work is being penned out and planned so there may be waits and time pending delays as I work on it. But rest assured, you will get to see progress as it develops. It will take place shortly after Hoodlum Havoc.

I hope you will enjoy following the story as it pans out. Im very excited to start it soon!

This is a work in progress.

Along his journey to save his friends, Rayman encounters these mystical creatures called Troglites. These small beings help assist Rayman on his quest. They reside in the more deeper and dense areas of the forests and some can even be found around the borders of the Land of the Livid Dead and the deserts.

They possess telepathic powers and are able to inform the hero, of what is happening. They grant Rayman the temporary powers of foresight.

Here he is training to defend himself with accurate punches as the Troglites tell him how best to approach enemies...

In my version, Rayman has also aquired some updated looks. He now has bandages wrapped around both hands. As he now carries over his combat traits from the 3rd game, the wraps help reduce his hands from getting too sore. He has seamlines along his torso, hands and hood. His trademark 'O' now has a second inner ring line, and he has a few bandaids/plasters on his nose from a previous injury he endured in the beginning. He loses them after a while as he recovers. His trainers also have a few new patterns.

Nice concept so far, very interesting! Also love the drawing so far!

That's a refreshing design, I look forward to the rest of the story too.

Really looking forward to seeing more of this project. The new Rayman design looks great.

I have been working on and off on the story line that will follow the images for my R4 project. Next week I will announce the name, so keep watching this space for more future updates!

In the meantime here is another concept sketch. Along his journey across a perilous area, the path is littered with odd switches and contraptions that have to be activated or Rayman cannot pass through. Some of these switches can also set off....unwanted traps...it just depends on where he places one wrong foot.

I love the sketches, I wonder if we will see André's girlfriend in this story .
