This thread is inspired by "SmashBoards Creates", where users over at SmashBoards, another forum site, conceptualize a potential game with it's community.
Rayman Pirate Community Creates: Rayman 4
Ubisoft forgot what a "Rayman" even was, so they called the members of RaymanPC to create a new game for "some floating limbs guy that people keep bothering us about".
The premise is overall pretty simple. The main thing you do here is jobs, which users submit ideas for. For example, if a job is "What is the title?", you would submit your answer. Most jobs revolve around game ideas, like gameplay details, the gameplay itself, if it's 2D or 3D, etc. After about 12 or more hours, the current job ends. If it's gaining traction around the time when it was supposed to end, the duration is slightly extended. Sometimes I'm busy, so sometimes it may last longer than 12 hours. It will also be extended if there are no more than three answers submitted to the current job. When it ends, users vote for which submission they like best from 1 to 3. For example, something like this:
1. Rayman
2. Teensy
3. Polokus
The answer in 1st gets 3 points, 2nd gets 2 points, and 3rd gets 1 point. Voting lasts for a shorter duration, about 8-ish hours. After voting ends, the answer with the most points wins. Oh, and you can't rank your answer in 1st or 2nd. You can only rank it third. This cycle repeats.
To simplify it, I post a job/question, you answer it, then rank the answers from 1 to 3, and finally the answer with the most points wins. Then we do it again with a new job/question. Pretty simple.
I had the idea to make this, so I did. This should be fun.
