It was quite a feat, but it was also made possible by the overall activity that day. Even though today is pleasantly active, I don't think anyone could get such an amount without spamming like crazy.

Way too much. We should have locked the BONK thread and the such but honestly, there were so many posts back then that I barely noticed all the spam until after record day was over...

I remember that some topics were kind of "wild" in the older days.
We definitely have better standards nowadays when it comes to that.
