It seems that Rayman is also the host of a show, maybe he being a newscaster is just a skit from a bigger media entertainment business that he runs.

There is also a Globox costume that appears very briefly (around 1:07).

Wait wasn't this already known? I coulda sworn I heard about him being like a Nightclub Owner in some Far Cry anime thingy a while back.

I think the trailer implies that Rayman is dictator.

Ngl seeing Rayman be an antagonistic media force is the most balls up the wall concept they could've come up with.

His design is... weird to say the least, It's like they tried to "improve" Rayman 2's design by giving him the Kao the Kangaroo/Crash 4 treatment.

Be prepared tho. Considering this show's style of humor and the fact that Rayman is a villain.... yyyeah, they're gonna 100% shoot him in the face or give him some unimaginable gruesome death.

Really, once again, why is that even a thing? Who at Ubisoft looked at this classic character and went: "Hey this guy desperately needs a new video game entry!... You know what? We should totally make this hero a villain for a random show of our second most milked-dry franchise!!!"
How is this a priority or an appropriate time to make a evil parody of Rayman, in Far Cry of all things? Could be interesting, but not right now imo.

Until we get a *proper* new game, this is nothing but bread crumbs at best in terms of content.
Hopefully it'll result in something that gives more attention to Rayman at least like the Sparks of Hope DLC.

Also, regarding to the series... I really like the animation style and the trailer, but not gonna lie, it feels weird to see Rayman as a villain

So he’ll be the villain of the show pretty much?

I feel like I'm the outlier here, but I find the premise fucking hilarious. Like I'll admit, I don't have the highest expectations, but Rayman as some shady overlord or face is ridiculous enough that I can't help but be intrigued.

Of course I highly doubt that anything shown in this series is canon, but personally I find it interesting to see Rayman as a villain!
(maybe is it just me that I like villains by default? )

I know it's likely not going to be accurate to the tone of what this anime seems to be going for (from all indications, it's Cyberpunk), but imagine him with a villain song xD
