Rayman in the VS Community

Hello Everyone,
I'm new here, and I didn't see any topic to discuss this subject. I am not sure if anyone here is a fan of stuff like Death Battle, but within the last several years there has been an attempt by various people to try to find how powerful Rayman is and even try to pit him against other powerful characters in vs battles. I actually created a chunk of the Rayman pages on VS Battles Wiki, but there are actually several cool sites that do this kind of stuff:
VS Battle Wiki -- Has VS profiles for various characters and even calculations for Rayman feats of power and speed.
Rayman Respect Thread on Reddit -- Lists a whole bunch of Rayman powers and feats. Reddit also has some respect threads for other Rayman characters.
Rayman Death Battle Fanon page -- Has many fanmade fights for Rayman and friends.
Feel free to share any others I missed!

Hi, I like the idea but the series is so inconsistent that it seems impossible to take facts from it and properly compare them with facts from other series... as the Rayman facts will already conflict with each other!

True, though I honestly find that part of the fun in trying to make sense of all the Rayman lore. You could technically say the same thing for stuff like the Mario series.
You should see some of the discussions on the
VS battles forum thread

All those discussions remind me a lot of Dave's "calculations" of Rayman's height
here.
In fact, as I keep reading, I can see that it was discussed too, along with other interesting stuff such as the size of the Buccaneer (5.7 km according to the author). Great job guys, it is indeed fun to try and make sense of the lore, even if it's really hard for series like this one.

Very cool, you have certainly put a lot of work into this.
One tiny detail however: given the host of your main wiki, I respectfully suggest that you consider the following if it has not been done already:
https://forkfandom.com/

Thanks for the compliments and I appreciate the suggestion. Fork Fandom is not really something I am interested in messing with at the moment though.

Well, it's a pretty big wiki, and while Fandom's intrusive ads and other irrelevant content make it a pain to browse, the cost of running it independently should not be underestimated. It really depends on whether the community has the time and resources to pull such a move.

Of course, please keep coming up with great content Mantidil and team.

And share it here.

This blog is generating a decent amount of discussion in the forum thread:

Very interesting, the authors sure did a lot of research!
One tiny remark, by the way: with so much of the text and images from the article being directly copied from RayWiki, I think it may be fair to quote the website as a source somewhere.

They might be willing to add it if someone asks them in the comments or something. Admittedly, we also used some images from RayWiki on the various character pages on VS Battle Wiki. We do put a link on the Rayman Universe VS battle wiki page to go to RayWiki for more detailed info on the series for what itâs worth though.

So, Rayman wins? What's the prize, Rayman 4?

Here is a blog I made just for fun a while back. It might seem weird to people outside the VS Community, but I had fun making it:

Amazing work! The breakdown of Raymanâs power scaling, from "Continental Threat" to "Galaxy Threat," is incredibly well-structured, covering everything from Lums to nightmare creatures, Robo-Pirates, and the chaotic Rabbids. The detailed analysis of abilities, weaknesses, and in-game counters makes the arguments feel legit, and the researchâeven accounting for inconsistencies in the Rayman loreâadds a ton of credibility. The enemy descriptions were both fun and memorable (seriously, evil inanimate objects are terrifying

).
The counter-picks were genius, with everything from Croixâs technomagic to Hitsugayaâs ice mastery and the sheer brilliance of using Morpheus against a dream-based world. The idea of Geo Stelar exploiting the Heart of the World from orbit is downright evil in the best way. Seriously, hats offâcanât wait to see whatâs next!

Thanks for reading and for the compliments! One of my online friends came up with this entire âStrategy Guideâ idea as a side note.

Nice article! It's always great to see these kinds of comparisons, especially with how deep the lore actually goes.
I've got to side with Mr Dark on this one, though. While the Magician definitely has more screen time and dialogue in the UbiArt games, people often forget that his entire villain persona in Rayman Origins is essentially him being a huge fanboy of Mr Dark. Canonically, he's just trying to replicate what the original villain accomplished in the first game!
Mr Dark didn't need giant mechas or an army of Lums to steal the Great Protoon; his dark magic was enough to unbalance the harmony of the world on its own. Plus, that final boss fight in Candy ChĂąteau with the transformations? Iconic. The Magician is a fun character, but he lacks that mysterious, menacing aura the original had.
It would have been interesting to see how the UbiArt engine handled a true Mr Dark fight, but I guess we'll have to stick to Rayman 1 for the real deal.

This is an impressive write-up, but I'm a bit worried to see one more person who thinks that "thingamjig" is the name of Rayman's species when it's actually nothing more than
a common word...
