Ly Cosplay

A thread to document my progress on my Ly cosplay that I want to finish by summer this year. So far the wig is done and I'm figuring out the makeup, but I still have a lot of work to do :hap:

And you did a great job!
The make-up already looks perfect in my opinion, I can already feel that your cosplay will be the best Ly cosplay we'll ever see

Lately I have been thinking of starting cosplaying too, it looks so fun! As a kid I already had fun wearing costumes for Halloween and carnival :D
But before I could start I wanted to lose some weight, not only because of cosplay but because it's a goal I've set for my overall well-being.
I do not want to lose weight because I am afraid I'll look bad, but as I want to lose weight regardless I do not want to remake my costumes for my new body
So all I need now is to overcome my social anxiety so I can finally hit the gym :oops2:

It will be hard to float while meditating, but I'm very sure it will be a good cosplay. You did a great job with the make up ;)

Perhaps she can just sit and meditate on a clear surface, like a clear table or something? Give the illusion of floating or something, idk lol

Awh thank you, Itzal! I want to put a lot of effort to make sure it looks the best it can.

And you really should try cosplaying! So far I've been having so much fun just planning things out. Cosplaying is a great motivator for weight loss as well! And don't worry, usually people at the gym are too focused on their own routines to pay you any mind. Just get out there and get your dream body! :mryellow:

If Ly had a cape you could hide a chair behind it (like this cosplayer) to make it look like you are floating, but otherwise Photoshop can be used to achieve that effect. It would also be cool if you could add Silver Lums in editing, considering your username, it would be very fitting.

Hey SilverLum, are you up for a race or two when the cosplay's done?...I'm joking, I'm not a fast runner...

Seriously though, I can't wait to see when your cosplay's finished! It looks fantastic already! :coeur:

Oh my gosh that would be such an easy fix  and Ly with a cape would be so awesome! Why hasn't anyone thought of that? I'll certainly keep adding silver lums in mind too :hap:

It all depends on how fast I can move out so no one will be upset at purple fur being all over the floor when I make the tail  but thank you!

Well Cosmic, if you happen to be at London Comic Con this year I'll definitely take you up on that race offer  and thank you so much!!

Yah, it’d be pretty hilarious pulling up to comic-con dressed as a fiction character

hmm, I don't think it's too late to do so! I was planning on making a Hoodboom costume alongside this one for my friend for when we meet up since it's his favorite hoodlum.

I've always been quite fond of this Razorbeard cosplay as well https://www.deviantart.com/admiralrazor ... -946573464

Woah, London?! That's overseas for me! I'll have to ask Carmen for help! :oops2:

I haven't cobbled together a cosplay in a while myself...I'm usually broke so I have to get really creative. As long as I have fun and enjoy playing that character, that's my rule. Now I'm curious if anyone's pulled a Rayman 2 cosplay...I tend to see Rayman 3 and beyond more than the others in terms of Rayman cosplays.

Carmen transportation is good as long as you'll have enough air bubbles before you make it to England

As for other cosplays from older Rayman titles, I've seen two or three Ly cosplayers from years ago, as well as the Razorbeard I linked earlier! but they're far and few between. I think our community needs a cosplay renaissance :hap:
