19th Edition of Record Day - August the 17th, 2024

It's the most wonderful time of the year. No, it ain't Christmas... We're getting closer and closer to the 19th Edition of Record Day! As always, here's a reminder of the rules:
Hunchman801 wrote: Tue Jun 16, 2009 8:20 pm Each year since 2006, we organise a posts in a day record at PC. The whole thing is quite simple: it consists in posting the most possible messages in a predetermined time span of 24 hours. The goal is not only to break a new record every year or bring more activity to the forums, but also to shuffle our topics in order to bring new discussions for the following year.

This is not a spam contest, and useless messages are obviously not welcome. However, the special conditions during the record day will be the cause of a certain leniency, especially as concerns old topics, which can be bumped freely.
It's a very fun day and a great opportunity to interact in a more direct way with the members of the Pirate-Community. The absolute record was set in 2015 (32252 posts). It's very complicated to beat it, but who knows, maybe we'll have some nice surprises this year :)

Now, the tings! You'll see this is gonna be an absolute madness. Each post is worth 15 tings within the given time span, but you can also get bonus tings: 1500 for participating, 1500 for beating one's previous posts in a day record, and 3000 Tings for the winner. Not bad, huh? ;)

Record Day is planned to be on a Saturday during the summer, from 22:00 (UTC) Friday to 22:00 (UTC) the following day. You can see a poll with different dates set between July and September. Let us know when you can participate! We'll do this on the most voted date.

Hope to see you around! ;)

It's crazy tha Record Day is approaching again, this year felt shorter. Any date should be ok for me as long as it is on a Saturday.

If the year has passed quickly, that's a good sign :)

Last year was a blast. I'd sign right now for this year's experience to be similar :mryellow:

This year did feel shorter... but in my case it was mainly due to most of it being devoured by our difficult house move! :oops2:

I'm sure this year's edition will be really fun too, I wonder if it'll be as active as the previous one was! :hehe:

This year DEFINITELY felt shorter. I find it hard to believe the 18th edition was already 10 months ago, and I joined a year ago :waaahhh:

Yay! I can't tell for sure regarding July and August as I have some treks planned but I don't know when I'll go just yet (might depend on the weather). I do know for sure I can't make it on August 3rd (mountaineering trip), August 24th (wedding) and September 14th (trip to Portugal).

Probably the safest for me would be August 31st or September 7th. 🤔

Even though August has not come, I want to congratulate you, Hunchman801!

A couple of months ago I went to a wedding where the fiancé chose as his entrance music an orchestra version of Dragon Ball GT's intro... Who knows, maybe a Rayman song doesn't look bad. I'm just giving ideas

A friend of mine chose Bob Marley as his entrance music, so nothing surprises me anymore.
