Like the title says.
Recently i realized... a LOT of Rayman fans work in tech. Like in HTML, IT or just being softwear engineers.
Now im bit stumped... WHY DO SO MANY OF YOU GUYS WORK IN TECH? Are Rayman fans just... all very tech savy or is it the Rayman fan spaces i find myself in?
im just very curious.. because outside of tech support places this fandom is the biggest group of people who work in tech i have ever seen!

Why would excessively obsessive and meticulous folk engaged in the deepest niceties of a franchise, end up in fields where obsessive and meticulous traits are considered a boon?
For better or for worse, the nerd stereotype has some truth in it. Though consider also that you're more likely to be exposed to the folks who spend a lot of time online, there are probably fans who are engaged in other ventures who touch grass more than the online obsessive.

No worries it might have come across as intentionally mocking. I'm a linguist and it's tough for us too. There are people who think machine translation can do most of the work for us.

I think it's quite normal considering that many people got into video games and computers in part because of Rayman.
If it's any consolation, I also feel a bit dumb when I read such technical stuff and can't understand shit

I’d imagine it’s just because most people here are nerdy and wouldn’t be big on jobs such as PE Teacher or KFC Stocker
