Ubisoft's appearance for Rayman's 30th anniversary

After some changes to its social media accounts,
Ubisoft has made an appearance at the latest Rayman Alive! And it seems they'll be sharing some behind the scenes, concept art, dev interviews and much more for the next months. They, again, have confirmed that both Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan are working together in the franchise, although we shouldn't expect anything soon.
It seems that the franchise is in the spotlight, and Ubisoft's appearance at Rayman Alive seems to indicate that it's on the right track! What are your thoughts on this?

I’m kinda shocked at the fact that the newest Rayman Alive got Ubisoft involved in it!

Personally, i don’t have much of an opinion on it, i’ll just see for myself how this whole thing unveils. Would be cool if we got more info on the scraped RRR and that one game made by Phoenix Studio.

It was certainly a cool surprise! I'm looking forward to the behind-the-scenes stuff they'll unveil, hopefully we'll get some new and interesting tidbits.

Also, it seems Rayman has an instagram account now. They really set this up especially for this:

Not to be the spelling nerd, but OP's spelt "appearance" incorrectly
It definitely was unexpected, I think it's been clear for a while that there has been a group within UbiSoft that were keen to do something Rayman related, but this has definitely been the most outreach we've had in ages...if ever. While I don't think this'll be commonplace, it was a special occasion and appreciated. I too will be looking forward to what is shared, and we should probably be ready to add stuff to the Wiki.

In the end, this announcement is a way of exposing themselves both positively and negatively. Having the courage to appear at a fan event is a bit... strange. I mean, if they show up at an event like that, it's because they're somehow "confident" about what they're doing? I don't think they'd take risks and expose themselves like this just for it to end up amounting to absolutely nothing. But anyway, we'll see how it all turns out...

Reallistically, if they had something even slightly more polished than concept art they'd have shown it at Gamescom last week.
Props to them to tell us that the franchise isn't forgotten, but we all know they aren't making the shots and Ubisoft is rarely up to good.

This is actually pretty cool, I must say. Though I’ve not got any words on this.

I think it's great that Ubi are acknowledging the community with this surprise appearance at a fan event. I'm pretty sure there's more to come in that regard... stay tuned.
Now of course we shouldn't expect a big announcement just yet, but it certainly sounds like they're paving the way for something. Let's wait and see.

There's a chance this was originally intended for Games Com, in the video, he doesn't directly mention Rayman alive. Edit: Maybe the Christophe Héral section was probably added on

Ubisoft posted a 30th anniversary video today! Turns out that former Rayman Legends animator Anaïs Dusautois did the voices for Carnivora and the UbiArt games' Teensy prisoners (and the Electoons in Rayman Origins, by extension). It's not much, but it's at least new info for the wiki.

I'm not really sure, I think this one's a bit more complicated.
Before being replaced by the Electoon sounds from Origins, the Teensies in Legends had a different (new) voice:
https://youtu.be/cvsOakCUnsk?t=160
It was more similar to the voices of all other Teensies in UbiArt, but at the same time I think it didn't fit well.
It isn't 100% clear, but I think this is what she meant. If she had voiced the Electoons, wouldn't she would have just said that instead of naming a later thing from Rayman Legends that reused it?

Well, after she said that, the video showed a clip of a Teensy being freed in the final game, so I think she was talking about the Teensies’ reused voices. Besides, don’t you think the Teensies’ voices in the demo would have been done by Douglas Rand, the guy who did the playable Teensies?

It's possible!

I just wanted to point out that this short interview isn't clear at all. Given that the video was not edited by the person interviewed, and that she didn't mention Electoons (the characters she had supposedly provided the voice for originally) despite talking about Origins, it seems reasonable to me to think she meant the earlier Teensy voice. We can really only speculate about which one is right, so let's not.

Before
Origins release, a French magazine indicated scripwriter Gabrielle Shrager voiced Betilla and the Electoons in this incoming game.
https://raymanpc.com/wiki/images/b/b0/J ... age_47.jpg
In
Origins script, there is a page at the bottom with information about game dubbing, more complete than game credits where there are 4 people only (Christina Batman, Lisa Jacobs, Douglas Rand and Gabrielle Shrager).
Script confirms Gabrielle Shrager roles as Betilla and the Electoons, and Anaïs Dusautois as mutated Carnivora.
We can also see familiar people such as Yoann Perrier and Michel Ancel himself voiced some characters.
Apparently, in
Origins, Gabrielle Shrager also voiced normal Carnivora, Voodoo Mamma (already recognized her) and Rayman (after listening samples again, I think I hear her indeed, the voice is different from Douglas Rand/Emmanuel Garijo mix used since
Legends).
