I'll start with this classic:

I mean, do we really want to give it airtime, even for the purpose of hating?

They gave Rayman... EARS?! (This is supposed to be a gif, you gotta click on it)

Decided to make a couple of Rayman images. Don’t know if the AI I used knows what Rayman is.

What do you mean? That’s a frog from the Rayman-Something games. The one pictured is called Globox.

Why is this in the fan works section when fan works is stuff you make yourself and not some ai?

I'm inclined to agree with Plum and Edge on this, in addition I feel like this is also the sorta thread that could very well end up being bait for low-effort to plain old-fashioned spam.

Somebody posted this one with the caption "Rayman speaks Urdu". I don't even.

Some of them have copyrighted characters excluded from their training sets, that's probably why the one you used has no idea who Rayman is.

It's a lie, I've worked enough on Rayman localizations to know that no Urdu translation exists.

Shouldnt we just be looking for these instead of generating them? Generating images is insanely bad for the environment.

AI uses water to cool down its systems, which in turn creates water droughts. Same with nfts.

Does that happen with chatbots as well?

Yes. Also them. I think they should figure out how to make AI not do that. There's gotta be better ways to cool down systems.. espescally since ai is needed for medical stuff

Eh. I still don't like AI because it lacks the heart that art has, also it scapes stuff off the internet without permission. Also Also since its used on such a large scale it does cause a lot of damage. But I'm not willing to start an argument thatll get the topic closed. I don't have time for that shit

I have to agree about this topic probably not belonging in the Rayman fanworks subforum. Its description explicitly states that you are meant to post, "...anything Rayman that you have made!" The only user-generated component of an AI image is the prompt, and even then, that is such an insignificant part of the creative process. Disregarding your opinion on AI-generated content, in order to make the argument that AI-generated content belongs in this subforum, you would need to argue that someone telling an artist an idea for an art piece (where the AI in this case is the "artist") constitutes them taking credit for having created the work.

I agree. We should probably move this to the “Rayman” forum.
