In Need of Help

Guys... I'm not sure if this is a wise idea to post this, but I'm severely baffled as to how to step forward in dealing with a major issue that's not just annoying to me, but it is just ripping at my darling to the point she's becoming ill from the stress.

There's a site online that's devoted to hating me and picking at my flaws and doing all they can to tear my OCs, my beliefs and all I stand for. Most of their content is from things I haven't up-dated in years, the side I took in arguments on sites and even trying to convince others that my art talent is wasted with what they've seen. (Okay, I admit I'm by no means the most awesome sketcher out there, but come on, I've never once taken art classes. A self-taught guy can only go so far, right?)

But it's not for me that I'm so worked up over this. It's for my girl. She's so shell shocked over this, and I don't know what I can do about it.

Okay, so I'm not the greatest guy in the world. I'm a sinner and I have flaws, as does anyone. I'm not perfect, I've got a short fuse a lot and I need to learn more patience, I've made a ton of mistakes in the past that I'm trying or have already gotten over or learned from, I'm stubborn, especially when it comes to certain issues like Yaoi, I'm very particular about my OCs, which usually have a very rough start but progress as they go, I'm a self-taught sketcher, so my stuff isn't as nice as those gone to college over it...
...So wha, does that give people THAT much reason to have a whole blog that records my past mistakes for the sake of ridiculing me? I thought mistakes were to learn from and then move on from, not to linger and get be targeted.

I will say their entry on Brutus Maximus was a fair bit of critique, and actually a number of those things I agree with and should up-date. (However, to their 'comical name' critique, it's supposed to be comical.) But what they don't seem to understand with most of the OCs I have their bios on for my site (which they're copying from) is that the characters have had changes due to discussions with my darling and I haven't up-dated the written bios to include the changes! Every character starts somewhere. And most of these have traveled, but they haven't been recorded as doing such. So most of their character bashing stuff is clearly out-dated.

But on the other side, others completely just try to rip at me, even by making my own characters act in ways I would never approve of - all for the sake of jabbing me. In the "Mockfic" called "A Roving Mind", they portrayed Ryo as a masturbater and with a secret love for Link! Enraging as this is, this is only the first bag of their knives they've thrown behind my back.

If any of you guys are on "Blog Spot", can you tell me what can be done about this? (Other than trying to change who I am, but I don't really see that happening just to please a few people who detest me.) Their report system seems to just be about ethnic groups, not individuals, so if they were slamming my religion (whihc they did on several occasions), then it'd be dealt with by the company. But hating just me? Not enough cause for action.



And I have a message for you guys on that site, 'cause I know you're reading everything I say. Don't hide behind a website to hit me. My critique to you is, that's cowardly. If you want to critique me, you can be constructive about it and you can note me personally on the specifics. If there's a way to make at least some things right, let's do business, not secret rallies. As you just read, I agreed with some of your comments on Brutus, so offers can be made. You don't have to throw knives at a picture of my head, you can try talking this out.
Let's make the hate stop. If not for us, let's do it for Zelly, my sweetpea. Please, for her, let's end it and move on.

Oh, and specifically to "Dr. (___)", that Soren redux picture was really good. I really like how you did the snow. I do wish you had asked, but I liked the way you did that one. And thanks for saying I at least have potential. I'm sure I'll do better once I've gone to art school.

I'm just unfortunately (despite what I suspect Ryuu thinks) fairly busy at the moment and we're kind of pretty big on screenshotted evidence here. Nothing against you, but Ryuu backpedals so quickly that I'm pretty sure he causes changes in the wind patterns. Physical evidence can kind of prevent him from getting away with lying, y'know?

Look, I doubt this is what you want to hear but the cold hard truth of the matter is that Ryuu hasn't changed at all. He couches his bigotry and giant ego in more well-mannered terms than he did in 2004. But it's still there.

He lied about fixing his forum's layout for more or less 40 days, according to a close friend of mine who was a member. He took the forum down, did nothing and claimed he fixed it instead of saying "thanks for the input but I have no intention of redoing it at this time". If you seriously think that's an honest and upright move, I can't help you.

I also recall seeing a post from his own moderator saying she felt uncomfortable as a bisexual woman moderating a forum where the founder was openly anti-gay. I also recall LZ apologized for that. I have a whole set of issues with her but at least she had the balls to apologize for that. Ryuu did not.

Perhaps that doesn't bother you but it bothers me that he didn't even bother to respond when his moderator put a good deal on the line there.

If you can give me definitive proof Ryuu's ceased to be a giant bigot incapable of taking criticism, I'm all ears. Eyes. Pick one, they both work. I'd love to hear he's changed. I'm serious, I know people can and if he's genuinely gotten over himself I'd love to hear it. As it is, I have no reason to believe it.
