I still have a Note 9, but I went back to a OneUI ROM due to the bottom speaker sounding like crap.

So I forgot to mention this in my last post, but the Redmi 4 was just a temporary phone I used while we were still looking for a better phone with my dad.
I finally got my new phone and I seriously love it! It's a Samsung Galaxy A40. It's snappy and overall pretty responsive as you'd expect from a Samsung phone and has a lot of other advantages, one of the most important ones being that it's very pocketable, which I couldn't say for my previous phones.
Also, this is a minor thing, but the back reflects light in a rainbow color which I think is pretty cool, today I had an idea related to this and this is what came out of it:

Oh, nice. I still have some old iPhone SE though I'm probably gonna switch for a work phone soon. Not sure yet which one I'll pick.

Nice! I still have a Note 9, but it still works fine and does the job!

Being an Apple fan, I have the iPhone XS Max. Though I’m upgrading to the 12 Pro Max soon.

I've had a Galaxy S8 since it came out three and a half years ago, and I love it, it's just not charging properly anymore.

Recently had to switch to an iPhone8 due to water damage to my old phone.

Did you try putting it in cat litter? I heard that works to dry out phones (but then I heard that on a soap opera

)
I've had a FairPhone 3 since June, when my FairPhone 2 went kaput. It's definitely a lot more responsive and has much better battery life. It's slightly unwieldy, but then so are a lot of phones these days…

I'm currently using my corp iPhone 12 as a personal phone too since I can't be bothered to have two devices.

I too have a Samsung Galaxy A12. For me, buying smartphones is not about the best features/latest release. For one, I don't have the money for that. And two, it's more about if it performs well and if it's durable enough to last long-term. I have the same mindset for cars.

Funnily enough I don't have a company phone. But if I did I'd probably keep it separate from my personal one. I had a colleague who did that, and admired him for it.

I remember having two phones for a couple years and finding it particularly annoying so I'm definitely not going back to that!

I remember on this soap I watch, years ago there was this guy who had a mental breakdown and started making silent phone calls to his ex-wife. His girlfriend discovered the device he was using for that and she was like, "since when do you have two phones?

"

I have an Android. Btw, there is a similar topic for this:

However, I guess this could be used as an iphone vs android topic.

I was just thinking about looking for this topic!
I upgraded my FairPhone 3 from LineageOS 17 to LineageOS 19 yesterday. I'm really disappointed that I can no longer customize the accent colour. Apparently in stock Android you can pick a "basic colour" to override the one it picks from your wallpaper, but in Lineage that option isn't there. I can't understand why Lineage actually disables a customization feature from the stock OS. Between that and their decision to remove in-built rooting in version 17, I feel they're really losing their way
But whatever, I was afraid the upgrade might brick my phone, so I'm mostly just grateful everything is still working!

Recently upgraded from an iPhone8 to an iPhone14. Quite a jump, but it was about time I upgraded anyway. Not too much has changed aside from having to get used to no home button or touch identification. Still need to set up facial recognition though…

This is what I would do if I ever had 2 phones. Have one personal, the other one for work purposes. Not that it’s likely to happen, just a what-if scenario in this case.

I'm stll using a Note 9. At one point I tried to use LineageOS 19 (which someone else had built and I probably shouldn't do that...) but some things didn't work properly and it eventually ended up bothering me, even little things like some banking apps just refusing to work just because of how you get root access, even with the hide function it just didn't want to work properly. For that reason along with something clearly being wrong with my phone because the battery had been terrible, I went to some stock based Android 12 one for now instead. Maybe one day I'll try Lineage again, if I can actually manage to figure out how to build the latest version on my own and avoid problems. Note 9 used to only have 17.1 iirc, but they discontinued it so it's really up to users to build their own ROMs now.
I guess the worst thing about this phone is the battery is degrading a lot, but nothing stops me from just buying a new battery for it.
