Being a young adult is awesome, so no, I don't. I live by myself, I'm 191cm tall, I can buy alcohol and drive a car legally, and I can grow a beard if I want to!

Re: Do you miss your childhood?
It kind of is in a way, though if done right (which isn't too difficult), it passes well. I'm taking care to not lean too far in either direction though, because I don't want to look male nor do I want to look incredibly feminine; sort of a 2/3 shift I could say. From what most people have said, it works great, and in my opinion it does as well.spiraldoor wrote:I’d have thought that being so tall would be something of an obstacle for someone who’s trying to pass for a girl.RayFan9876 wrote:Lel, speaking of underdeveloped kids... aside from brain development, being 190 cm tall was the best thing that aging has brought me.

Re: Do you miss your childhood?
Why? This topic brought up an interesting discussion, and it was interesting to hear different answers. There's no reason for it to be deleted, or even locked. We haven't gone off topic at all really, and it hasn't even been a day yet. Just because many don't miss their childhood, aka, disagree with you (I'd say it's a near even split between those who do and don't), doesn't mean it should be locked. On top of that, you didn't even give a reason why it should be locked. I say add a poll!SanteriEdelweiss wrote:Mods, please delete my thread, thank you.

Am I the only one here who can't miss their childhood because it's not over yet?

Oh you 12yos, you are a funny species. Be warned though, it's over in less than a year. The 8th/9th school years are where it becomes hellish, so grab your hacksaw.beebo44 wrote:Am I the only one here who can't miss their childhood because it's not over yet?
Just make sure to finish your last year of innocence off as memorably as possible, because you'll never get it back.

Lol. Trust me, I've had my hacksaw ready since years 6, and I've been tempted to use it more than once! That was all thanks to a really shitty teacher I had for year 6 last year. But I guess everyone gets those one or two teachers they have a burning hatred for.RayFan9876 wrote:Oh you 12yos, you are a funny species. Be warned though, it's over in less than a year. I fucking hate my English teacher for making me waste two hours of my time every week coz her shitty class is compulsory.
Other teachers don't annoy me as much since I rarely attend to their classes.

Re: Do you miss your childhood?
Aha, over here French is compulsory, but in my particular school I could choose French, Spanish or German, and since I was usually really busy and I already knew German, I took German. That was kind of a mistake since I really want to learn French, and it was boring as hell with a fucking shitty teacher. I didn't even get good grades (60-70%) because I used too much slang, and my behaviour was atrocious. I think the part that pissed him off the most was that my English was very basic then (starting at first year), and it seemed like I was in that class for absolutely no reason. What more could one ask for?DesLife wrote:I fucking hate my English teacher for making me waste two hours of my time every week coz her shitty class is compulsory.

The funny thing about English class is, THEY MAKE YOU TAKE IT EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW ENGLISH ALREADY.RayFan9876 wrote:Aha, over here French is compulsory, but in my particular school I could choose French, Spanish or German, and since I was usually really busy and I already knew German, I took German. Re: Do you miss your childhood?
Indeed, here as well, though only once year 7 came round (it's called grade 7 here, but I'm using years for everyone's sake). My English was better than my classmates' at that point, so I really like the class and I still do, especially creative writing and poetry. Most of my English teachers were great, especially this guy I have now who I swear is made up of every Australian stereotype imaginable. Along with that, every week on Fridays we watch a movie and we can order ourselves pizza into the classroom for the two-hour duration.beebo44 wrote:The funny thing about English class is, THEY MAKE YOU TAKE IT EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW ENGLISH ALREADY.

Re: Do you miss your childhood?
Wow you are lucky. My English/Maths teacher is HORRIBLE. Last week we were doing a topic test (preperation for Half-Yearly's) and my friend sneezed. Guess what? The teacher went apeshit on him.RayFan9876 wrote:Indeed, here as well, though only once year 7 came round (it's called grade 7 here, but I'm using years for everyone's sake). Your current English teacher sounds like a funny guy.
Also, my Science teacher is epic.

Re: Do you miss your childhood?
He is a very funny guy!
I'll be honest when I admit that most of my teachers are awesome, and I got along with them well, with the exceptions of my social-studies (geography/history) teacher, math teacher, PE (gym) teacher, and one of the music teachers (there are two). It's most of my classmates that had serious issues.
A funny story about my Socials teacher: I got him fired for reporting a speech he gave on why homosexuality is evil and that all gays will burn in hell and such. Everyone was happy, because nobody really liked him. Otherwise, my math teacher is a stubborn Russian fellow and the music and PE teacher I don't like is a dickish Texan. I swear we have no locals.

I do look forward to living on my own. A lot of things that bother me where I live now would vanish! Like how my brother leaves all the beard stubs all over the sink when he shaved (YUCK). And everybody would have to abide by my rulez.

Yeah he smokes sometimes. Only outside though. But I don't want smoking in my house anyway. It's disgusting, makes ugly discoloration in the ceiling and it's hard to get rid of the fumes.RayFan9876 wrote:Rad, is your brother the smoker?Spanex wrote:To start off, no smoking inside MY place. Re: Do you miss your childhood?
Smoking is bad mkay.
You shouldn't smoke.
I don't do it either, smokers are buying an early death.
