Rayman Pirate-Community

So i have upload the Rayman1 soundtrack from the PS1 ver.
Ripped it off as uncompressed WAV[PCM] files as it was CDDA-musical CD (i did not convert the RAW files to WAVs but its bascily the same)

I know what lossess is and i know there are the FLAC files which sound the same in RayTunes site.
I'm not saying here anything against Raytunes, i love it and appreciate it.. just wanted to give uncompressed format as well.

Nice, but I don't really see the point of this. The (bigger) soundtrack is already available in FLAC format. Which is, you know, lossless.

Uncompressed is the same as lossless, it just takes up more space. It's like offering someone a Bitmap instead of a PNG.

BTW, i rather to have a bitmap instead of a PNG unless it's used for display on websites then we have to use PNG and even JPG sometimes for faster view

PNG is a bitmapped image format, and it's lossless unless you restrict the colour palette.

There is something important some of us are forgetting here.

The terms 'uncompressed' and 'lossless' are two different things.

Uncompressed = lossless
Compressed (FLAC) = lossless
Compressed (MP3) = lossy
Convert an MP3 to a WAV file = Uncompressed = lossless but audio data is of lower quality because of lossy source

I meant to say that they provide the exact same result. They aren't technically the same thing.

I guessed I did learning something from this.
