Rayman Pirate-Community

Do you know about the new game Sony is making in a similar style to Super Smash Bros Brawl? PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will have different characters of Sony games battling against each other. They also said there will be third party characters and Rayman is one of the more requested along with Crash and Spyro. I would really like to see Rayman battling against other characters like Crash Spyro or Jak.

A Facebook page is asking the fan which character they like more to be in the game and now they're asking about rayman. I don't actually know if the page is official or unofficial, but if you want just try to "like" him, so there's a possibility to have him in the game.

But it would be interesting watching Rayman in a game like that. I wished he was in Brawl.

I hope so he will be picked up in the final roster! He is very popoular anyway so he have great chances...

I didn't like Brawl, and I don't intend to buy this one, so I don't really care that much.

I mean, sure, it would be nice to see Rayman in more crossovers, exposing the brand to people who might haven't been paying much (or any) attention to it, and maybe have it gain a few extra fans in the process. I know that this works, from personal experience too. Snake being in Brawl got me interested in Metal Gear Solid, and eventually led me to buy it.

Still, this? I have a very hard time getting excited for it, even if Rayman would appear.

Sony will have to work hard to create a game that could rival the likes of SSB, though if Rayman does make an appearance, it would be best if Ubi only offered the best instalments, otherwise, many potential players of the series may be put off by some of the sub-par remakes/ports, such as Rayman 3 HD.

It certainly seems to be official. If that’s so, it’s very encouraging that Rayman was one of the first characters of whom the developers posted a picture. If you want to make him stand out among the other options, make sure that you like the Rayman image, and preferably leave a positive comment, but definitely ignore all of the other images – especially the Crash and Spyro ones. Those two characters are bound to end up in the game anyway, but Rayman only has a shot if he manages to gain lots of support.

Yes, the cross-promotion of various franchises is the main reason these crossover games even get made.

How can you not be excited at the prospect of seeing crazy new Rayman stuff?

Judging by the trailer, each level in the game seems to be a mixture of two specific game universes (eg Patapon × God of War, Buzz × LittleBigPlanet). Does anyone want to speculate as to what game world would mix well with the Glade of Dreams?

Hmm, I've seen some crazy combinations, such as a mixture of Patapon with God of War, and Sandover Village (Jak 1) with a golf game.
If the Glade of Dreams did feature, which specific area? The Fairy Glade? Picture City? The Longest Shortcut?

The same reason a Rayman RPG wouldn't excite me, as the gameplay itself doesn't sit well with me. I would never buy a game that I don't think I would find fun, even if it has characters and elements from games I like.

I’m not asking you to buy or play the game; just to support the idea of new, high-quality Rayman stuff.

It's not that I'm against the idea of Rayman being in this if that's what you think. I already said that it would be nice to see the series exposed and promoted to more people. Of course I will support this too if it turns out to be for real, but I'm not going to get all eager about it like others might be.

EDIT: I wonder if (assuming the page is official) they are actually going to decide who gets in and who doesn't based on the number of likes. Seems like a strange way to make such decisions. A seperate website with one large poll would make more sense I think.

Facebook likes are obviously not going to be the one and only factor when it comes to choosing characters, but I fully expect them to be taken into account.

Well, I havn't a ps3 and this game doesn't interesst me. But i clicked on "like" cause I think it would be good advertising for Rayman to appear in other games. Maybe it will be a bad appearance (I'm sure 90% of all people in this Form will not like how Rayman will appear, if he appears.... ). But I don't care
