i say rayman

Uh...

Lets say that it was thanks to Crash Bandicoot that the (3D) R2 exists.

Honestly...Crash Bandicoot was a real hit. Both easy and hard to play, good songs, good ambiance, good textures,etc...a real plateforme game if sometimes it can seems linear (of course because carsh's world are one-way worlds).

I don't see the necessity of comparing Crash Bandicoot and Rayman (esp. CB2 and R2). Obviously they are both good but in their own way...

For some details R is more instersting, especially about mobility of the gamer in the world of Rayman. CB looks more fun and entertaining.

A good common point to talk about : the waste of the two series during the 2000s (with the release of wii for Rayman and PS2 for CB). The last games (except a lil' bit for RO) are not as good as the previous. That made me cry.

Crash Tag Team Racing on PS2 ? HUH ??? HUUUUUUUH ??? SO FAR FROM CRASH TEAM RACING ON PS1 ! And plz don't talk about Rabbids...

Even though Crash is a funky hero, he's really not much of a hero. There isn't a thing he can do that Rayman can't.

If we are discussing the videogames here instead of the characters themselves, I'd obviously say Rayman.
And in terms of well... winning a battle is it not obvious? To quote Rayfan:

I am a rayman fan, HARDCORE. However, I had the chance to play Crash games and Rayman games at the same time. As a crazy/joyful-minded boy, I had a total crush for Crash. And a little less for Rayman. So sorry again, but even if I love the 2 f them... I love Crash a little bit more.

Crash is ok, as long you play just the PS1 games. The only exception would be Twinsanity, and perhaps the first race games for PS2, but I won't touch the others.

Wrath of Cortex was rather good (ps2 version) the gamecube version had some huge fps issues oddly enough.

Wrath of Cortex sucked.

It's fine, I did enjoy the Crash games too, but my preferences have always lied with Rayman.

I agree. I played a bit to Clash of Titans and Tag Team (as I said it before). PS1 games are really the best for Crash (played so long on Crash Team Racing with my brothers and my father...almost killed this one ! ).

Rayman definitely!He would win easily. A worthy adversary for Rayman would be Mario.

I say Rayman is better then Crash. Even though I had Crash and Rayman for years and I do like all the Crash games, Rayman is better Personally, I like both of them, they are my bestest game heros. I played Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex in 2004 and Rayman 1 in 2003. Yet the Crash Bandicoot series is probably done and UbiSoft is still making Rayman games. Rayman is a little more popular then Crash. This is just my opinion. In fact, I am going to play Crash: Wrath of Cortex in a little bit. This is all I have to say.

It was nice to see them try to be as good as Naughty Dog (by borrowing their concept, of course!), but the result is what counts, and it sucked.

I had some decent fun with it, it was pretty good actually, even though they were using the concept that naughty dog was, I think it was done well, in fact, it felt a LOT like the Crash games on ps1, only on ps2, I don't understand how it sucked, the level's were pretty fun and to me it felt like a normal crash game. Crash Twinsanity was the last good Crash game for me.

Wrath of Cortex is the only Crash game I've completed, and I liked it a lot. Really silently quirky style.

Crash 1 and Crash 3 are my favorite, the next place is Twinsanity and Crash 2 tied. The rest are plain bad. Wrath of Cortex just doesn't feel as Crashy as the Naughty Dog games. Twinsanity did a good job though. As for the spin-offs, I really liked Crash Team Racing, sort-of liked Crash Nitro Kart and I actually enjoyed Tag Team Racing, even if it didn't feel like a Crash game at all. See, the difference is, CTTR never really tried to be in the style of the previous games, while Wrath of Cortex tries to follow the Crash style but just doesn't feel as good. There's only one thing I honestly enjoyed in Wrath of Cortex, it was when you played the Coco levels and Coco fell butt-first on Crash's head.

That's funny, my favourite of the trilogy is Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.
