Speaking of the Wii, it's a shame that their store for the virtual console is closing very soon.

I used to visit it plenty of times back in the late 2000s when the Wii was in its peak, but with the Wii and Wii U not being the center of attention for Nintendo anymore, It was inevitable this was going to happen.

I didn't even know it was closing. Bit of a shame really

I kind of hope the switch gets all that stuff too but I can see Nintendo still charging people that owned the games previously and nobody wanting to pay again.

Yeah, I would love to see some of the classic games come to the Switch. It's really ideal since it's both a home console and portable in a nice package.

I'd love to see even some Gamecube titles get ported to the Switch. I think that would be nice to see. I only own 5 games for Switch at the minute. I seen that they did port the VS Super Mario Bros over to it but I never bought it.

I honestly wouldn't mind a few re-released games on switch due to as you mentioned, it both portable and a console. I know a lot of people would probably complain about that and say they want new games but I would like to see a few titles ported.

Reminds me, I heard that NVIDIA and Nintendo were working together in China to release GameCube titles for their machine.

Yup, the Nvidia Shield, I think I mentioned it in the Nintendo thread. I'm hoping that this is the beginnings of them porting stuff to the Switch, since the Shield and Switch are based off similar technologies, from what I've read. It'd be nice to have to whole Prime Trilogy at the palm of my hand, though I'm curious how they'd translate over the third game.

I'd also be keen for Mario Galaxy on the go, or them bringing over some of the port/remake jobs they did for the Wii U.

Oh yeah that's right, don't they use like a Tegra or something?

All of those sound good. I'd even like have on of the New Super Mario Bros games like the Wii version. Actually a lot of games I'd love to see ported so I'm glad I have a Switch now just in case

I would like to own a Game Boy Advance, so I can play games like Rayman Advance, the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3, Hoodlums' Revenge, and several Crash games that were released for GBA on the go.

I never actually played the Crash games on GBA but I must give them a try some day. I have the GBA Rayman games and I plan to get every copy of the main series Rayman games for every console I have. I'm not far off, but the Jaguar is the one that's gonna get me as the consoles are likely very hard to get. Especially the Rayman game for it since I assume that's fairly rare.

I own a copy of Rayman 1 jaguar, but no Jaguar. However, I do want to get a Jaguar to play this version of the game for sure.

Edit: Jeez, you weren't kidding about the Jaguar console prices, I swear these were ranging in the like $100-$150 range last year, but now they're straight up going for $300+, kind of sucks because I really wanted one of those for a few more games other than Rayman, oh well.

Yeah it's a shame really. Another console I never owned but at them kind of prices, I don't even plan to. I got my saturn for 30 as untested but it actually works fine, but that's risky doing stuff like that. Maybe you could get lucky and someone might sell one cheap without checking the prices, but that's a once in a blue moon thing and you'd have to find it quickly.

I've bought mine back in 2013 for roughly $130 plus shipping, and got three games, two controllers, and the cables.

Unfortunately

I went onto ebay to check because I've never owned a Jaguar and it's €239.99 along with €36 for postage.

Even Rayman 1 for it seems to cost €100

I think I'll probably just skip that version as those prices are madness

Please enlighten me if you ever do find one really though that doesn't cost crazy money as it's probably the only console I don't have from NES and up now.
