In terms of gameplay, I'm still feeling that levels are a bit too narrow and straight.
Trustworthy people who've played the game at events have assured us that this isn't the case. Some claimed to be amazed by how open ended the levels are.
While there will be some linear levels with a very specific challenge to them, the majority of levels will have a lot of different ways to go, and secrets to find.
It doesn't really concern me, seeing as I own neither a Wii U nor 3DS, but I like to keep tabs on things like that, I do hope that the levels are more open ended.
this isn't confirmed on pc? thats a bit odd... no wait, that always happens when nintendo and sega make a game :/

It'd be neat if the game eventually went Multiplat after the contract with Nintendo is finished. Similar to Resident Evil Revelations how the game was exclusive to 3DS, but eventually came out for PC, 360, PS3, and Wii U. Doubtful it'll happen with Lost World though.

Probably won't happen. If I recall correctly, Nintendo is somewhat a part of the game's development.
Also, Sega seems pretty confident with Sonic selling well on Nintendo platforms, take a look at this.

Awesome intro is awesome. Plus, I still like Roger Craig better than Jason Griffith for Sonic
Eggman sounds epic as always and Tails improved too. I say good job to SEGA.
Sonic Lost World is my second most hyped game of this year

I have to say, the animation in the intro was also pretty well done, I think that's the most fluid I've ever seen in 3D Sonic.

Roger Craig is an AMAZING voice actor. He's voicing Batman in Arkham Origins, and he also voiced Wonder Blue in Wonderful 101, which is, probably, the MOST HILARIOUS character in the entire game. He's just so sarcastic I wish he voiced Falco in the next Star Fox.

I agree with you. I hate how people keep telling me that I am wrong for liking Roger Craig. What is funny is that people who hated Jason Griffith before now hate Roger and want Jason back. Makes no sense to me. Roger is for me second best Sonic voice actor ever, the first place are Ryan and Kanemaru.

I like Roger over Jason in general, but the best voice performances we've ever had for Sonic within the games are Jason's performances in Sonic Unleashed and Sonic & The Black Knight. Jason wasn't given much voice direction for those games, he was allowed to voice Sonic with complete freedom, and as a result, he completely nailed Sonic's character. It's kind of why most people were annoyed that Roger took over, because Jason was finally able to voice Sonic perfectly, only to get replaced.
Roger is still a great voice actor though, in general. His take on Sonic isn't perfect, certainly not as good as Jason's final take on Sonic, but Roger is better than Jason's first few performances as Sonic. And he will probably get better.
The thing to really be upset about is Ryan Drummond not being able to voice Modern Sonic in Generations. It's a little known fact, but he nearly did get the role over Roger.

I remember spax3 hated Jason so much he wished death upon him. Insane much?

Has anyone noticed that Eggman looks a bit different in the intro? His head looks less round...
Also, the animation really DOES look more fluid than all the other Sonic games.

It could only happen after Sega and Nintendo deal expires. Deal was that Sega makes 3 Sonics for Nintendo systems. Then again Colors was made before the deal and it was never ported to PC
But they did ported Sonic 4 few years later on PC

Yeah, I've been hearing that pop up in some threads here and there, also, I too would like to know what's this all about.

this was a funny comment on their comments section
So, Mario not only defeated Sonic, he ate him and took his audience

From what I heared, My Little Pony creators are making it so I fear it wont be good. It will probably have good animation though since despite my hatred for MLP, I admit it is animated good.

I hope it is not reboot like Pac-Man Cartoon is.

Define reboot in this instance, OCG, each Sonic cartoon has taken place in their own continuities, separate from the game series and other cartoons. While it is true that Sonic X adapted Adventure's 1 and 2 into its story, it certainly took its own liberties (Chris Thorndike for instance and the Metarex), to the extent where it too does seem to be its own universe.

thinking back on sonics animated history, i thought adventures of sonic was good, sonic the hedgehog was animated gold, the movie was interesting and definitely caught my attention, while sonic underground sucked and sonic x was good in certain episodes

When I said I don't want reboot, I meant they should not change Sonic's age or personality.
If they use classic design, they should make personality similar to AoStH cartoon. If they use modern design, Sonic games are good example of his personality. If they ruin his age I am gonna be very mad. Pac-Man And The Ghostly Adventures is for me the WORST cartoon ever made. I would rather choose MLP over it which is my second worst cartoon ever made.

The Sonic cartoon is not official, it's only a rumor as of now.

Now all we need is a Homestuck show to finish the topping.
I know I'm double-posting, but that was very ignorant.
I'd argue that Sonic fans are some of the best fans of anything ever. The Sonic fandom pump out fan games, ROM hacks, artwork, great animations, great video content, AMAZING soundtrack remixes, organise tons of great contests and meet-ups, and more. I don't know many other fandoms like that. Yeah, there are some bad fans there, but there are bad fans in every fandom (including the Rayman fandom). Why would you assume the majority of fans are of the bad kind, when in reality, most of them are actually very innovative, and often get to work directly with Sega in making Sonic games?
And while I know the Homestuck fandom is genuinely kind of bad in a way (way too many over obsessive fans who literally treat the comic as more real than life itself. I fell out with someone I loved dearly in part because of this), many of the fans still produce great artwork, ORIGINAL music that actually gets used in the comic's flashes, great animations, and a lot of them are very talented students of literature.
I can't speak for the MLP fandom much, and I know they have a tendency to relate EVERYTHING to the show, but I know they also produce great content (I have a few friends who've showed me some MLP fn content).
Every fandom has a negative side, but really think carefully before you say the majority are terrible.
