Can someone tell what's with all the talk of a new Sonic cartoon being in works?

From what I heared, My Little Pony creators are making it so I fear it wont be good.

I'll be honest, OCG.

I'm very critic with cartoons, but people know me here for something in particular: I'm not nostalgic. At all. So I could dare to say that, a current show like Adventure Time, is a lot more interesting than a show like Cow & Chicken, which was one of my favourite shows during my childhood.

I appreciate the new Pac-Man because it shows an interesting world, with interesting character design, bright visuals and pretty decent characters. It's the cheesyness of the show that stops it from being great. I don't give a shit about your old Pac-Man, because to be honest, he was boring and made awkward sex jokes that didn't work.

Back to MLP, I don't care if the dang thing is for little girls. Neither do I consider myself as part of the fanbase, but one thing is for sure:

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is pretty DARN good for what it was supposed to be.

It turned a corny, simple story for little baby girls:



Into a pretty well animated and drawn story, with fun slapstick, likeable characters and clever situations, that little girls will probably remember forever:



And yeah, maybe it's not the best cartoon out there. But look at what it achieved. It's supposed to be a show for dumb little girls that could watch anything that is bright and coloured, I don't know, Dragon Tales or some shit like that. The dang thing should not be overthought, but yet the animators actually put their effort and heart on it.

The fanbase sucks. Like almost every fanbase. But just because the Sonic fanbase sucks doesn't mean that Sonic Colors sucks, or does it?

I'd be happy if the team that made Friendship is Magic made a Sonic cartoon. They're clever, they evolved a drooling franchise of toys into something relevant again. And here's a reminder: Just because they made a franchise with flowers and colorful ponies, doesn't mean that they're gonna still do stuff like that.

Agreed with Sergio. I do consider FiM to be one of my favorite (though not my best) modern day cartoon. I can't wait to see this Sonic cartoon and what it has to offer.

I think you're finally bringing up good points now, before you were blatantly calling me 'ignorant' making me feel as if you were saying I hate Sonic. I did admit the fanbase is a LOT better than it was before. But I do think I agree with you now.

Hm... I do like this, but I think I like the Sonic Colors theme more, this is a bit disappointing, though I have to say, the music does seem very Mario Galaxy-ish, I like it.

Sega is supposedly going to have a live orchestra perform this sometime in October, so it will probably sound better. Also, I doubt this is the full song, just something for the main menu.

Teen Titans Go is a disgrace to Teen Titans.

A disgrace? not necessarily. A bad choice?... yes, it is. The animation is not good, the color choices are eye-hurting, the slapstick is poor, the representation of the characters is vague. I've seen the Nickelodeon Chibi Avatar shorts, and they're fun little bits that still respect the original series. Teen Titans Go... well... it's not even funny. It was truly meant for little kids. Heck, the creators made it even worse by confessing that they haven't watched a single episode of the original WB Teen Titans.

I guess it was too harsh of me to call it a disgrace. It's just that Original show was the closest thing to Anime I ever watched. The opening also has Anime feel to it. I liked it. New one is just not for me. It feels they slapped TT name just for cash. But it is for kids like you said after all.
