Bring out the tinkerer(?) in all of us. Talk about modifying or repairing game consoles old and new. I especially made this topic since I recently acquired a Model 3 Sega Genesis and it won't turn on and I have had no luck in finding any source of help elsewhere. I plan on disassembling it today to see if something is broken. It came with the MK-2103 AC adapter for use with the model 2 Genesis, the model number for the Model 3 should be MK-1471. The model 2 adapter fits but has a higher amperage rate than what the model 3 needs, could that be the problem?

Now this is one of the things I'd really love to do, but I've never actually done.
However, I remember the time that I managed to hack my PSP via Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick, it is rather easy to make a pandora battery with an official PSP battery, as all you need to do is cut a wire from a chip in the battery, however, I'm a little too cautious, so a friend who'd already gone through the procedure kindly gave his modded battery to me, which, when combined with a self-made Magic Memory Stick, allowed me to install CFW onto the device, and now I've got emulators and stuff which really makes my PSP much more functional.
As an added bonus, my hacked PSP is capable of creating Pandora batteries at the press of a button.

It works now, apparently there was some corrosion around the AV Out port. Now let's play some Rocket Knight Adventures. I've always wanted to buy an Atari 2600 and mod it to use RCA Composite Video Out and put the motherboard from the Atari Flashback 3 "Plug N' Play" game system in the 2600 so I could have 50 built-in games. And Modify some old game controllers for emulation use on my Sega Dreamcast.

Bump.
Now this is something I have genuine interest in
I have a PAL SNES that I done a 50/60Hz toggle switch mod on, A PAL Sega Mega Drive that also has a 50/60Hz toggle switch, though I opted for a Genesis due to the slight speed differences from the crystal oscillators. I also have a PAL Sega Saturn again with a 50/60Hz toggle and an original GBA with a backlit screen installed. I done all of those mods myself.
Aside from those, I have all of these consoles softmodded in a way
Xbox (modded BIOS)
Xbox 360 (flashed DVD drive)
PS2 (Free Mc Boot Memory Card)
PS3 (softmod)
PSP (softmod)
PS VITA (softmod)
Wii (softmod)
Wii U (Softmod)
GameCube (XenoGC modchip)
I will try add pictures later of some of the hardware modded consoles (even if it's not pretty it works)
Also I repair consoles (and other computers/electronics) all the time, but anyone that knows me on RPC already knows that
