Interesting placeholder names, any source for them?

Wow, somehow I never noticed that that message got a reply! I know it was Record Day, but still, I should have noticed the day after, maybe.
Well, the name "BW" was because he was a black and white cat. In the end he retained that name until he died in October. I picked the name "Hammerhead" because his head appeared to be wider than those of the other two, bringing to mind a mallet or a hammer (it's actually just furrier, not skeletally bigger). And "Baby Tuey" looked like a teeny version of his mother, so that's the reason for that name.
Those names have been replaced by "Jet" and "Bibs" respectively. The former being jet-black and a bit of an eejit and the latter having a little white bib.
The point is, today was their first birthday! And they spent most of it chasing a mouse around the garden. Perhaps it was some kind of coming-of-age ritual. If so, it failed, because they never did catch the mouse!

When I was about 10 I had a fish called Little Sparky, but his fin was gradually eaten by my larger fish, Bubbles. Bubbles then got fish bladder disease and swam upside down until he died what seemed like an untimely death.
My gran has a cat who I originally chose, so I suppose you could call it partially my pet. She's a tabby called Tabitha.
None of my pets have had particularly imaginative names :oops2: but if I did have a cat of my own I would probably call it something like Aristotle, because most of the time it looks like they're just lying around, pondering.

Even though I say to myself I don't have a lot of pets, I've had a hermit crab, a fish, a cat named Kiwi, a bunny named Bugs (after Bugs Bunny haha), and a dog named Dimpsey. Of all the pets I've had, only the dog is still with my family today. Even though they're gone, I loved the pets I've had and treasured the moments I've had with them.

We've had a cat named Brush, though unfortunately it died when we went to my great grandmother and got back home. :(

The last pets that I had were always fishes. I was not really enthusiastic about getting other animals as pets. Fishes were Cooler to me. Please forgive me But it was so long that I have actually forgotten their names But They were cool names that you would give to a Boy or girl so They could, as far as I know, be Anything you could think as long as it is not too corny.

It has been like years now and I don't even have a pet up to this day now.

Although a hermit Crab sounds like another pet to have. :)

I never posted here but I have 2 house dogs. One's a Jack Russell and the other is crossed between a Jack and a Chihuahua. We have another 4 out the back,3 are Springer Spaniels and one is a Jack Russell. Then there's a fish tank in the kitchen with a few goldfish in it basically.

Bump. I wanted to post a picture of my dog, so here she is! Pretty small, but considering that she's a mix between a terrier and a chihuahua, not too surprised (or so I've been told).
I wasn't in the first few years of her life, being away in college. Even though she's used to me now, she still likes me the least out of the rest of my family.

Now, although our last pet died, I wanted to post some pictures of our current cat that we have. We love her (including me), except when she gets onto the couch of course and does bad things. We haven't named her yet though. My favorite is when she sits in a dumpling pose, she's the most adorable that way in my opinion. :)

I can't imagine how sad I'll be when mine leaves. Speaking of which I just learned since I travelled up that she actually misses me. So my dog DOES love me after all! :D

Sometimes it's like these try pretend they're not excited, but you catch them wagging their tails. They often follow me to the kitchen knowing I'll give them ham.
