Re: Schmooky.luke
Most forums do not accept minors of 13 years old to enter, but its possible for a kid to have a safe internet surfing as long he has got appropriated teaching and instructions of doing a safe use of it. I speak by personal experience since I had free internet navigation at home since my 8 years old, having in account the instructions that my father told me.
Re: Schmooky.luke
My first forum experience was when I was 8. And I was never guided about anything. So those times I made threads where I cried over a Barbie dress up game not working on my computer. At least Schmooky really isn't like that.

Yes, sorry.I didn't check back until today. My brother is only 11, and my parents set a restriction.Slogbait wrote:Some peoples' parents are just stricter than others. Even though this is the age of technology, there are still a lot of people who look at things like the internet with skepticism. They aren't familiar with it or have only had bad experiences with it, and to make sure their child is safe they will put limitations on it. My parents were only restrictive of forums and instant messaging. Otherwise, as long as I didn't give out personal information, they let me do pretty much whatever I wanted. According to Schmooky's profile, he's only 11, and while he seems able to hold himself well on forums, his parents still might not be comfortable with letting him go around talking to strangers that are probably significantly older than him.
Since it's his older brother that posted, though, I feel like it could either be a really controlling sibling or the parents asked him to do something about it because they're busy. There's numerous scenarios this could be. Regardless, if Schmooky likes Rayman so much and enjoyed his stay on the forum up until now, it's likely he'll be back in the future and maybe will explain what was actually going on.
Yes, but problem is that my parents have no idea about this site and my brother being on it.Haruka wrote:Most forums do not accept minors of 13 years old to enter, but its possible for a kid to have a safe internet surfing as long he has got appropriated teaching and instructions of doing a safe use of it. And my younger brother, Luke, was trying to hide the fact he was on this site.

Re: Schmooky.luke
I'm for letting him be on the site in secret, truly. After all, having that one thing you do that your parents don't know about, especially when said thing is actually good, is a big motivator.

Re: Schmooky.luke
He should stay here I think. I agree with Ad'.
RPC's a good forum, even for casual members like me (yeah I know I'm a freaking casual everywhere but on League Of Legends my greatest sin...).

Me and the remaining staff's duty is to ensure that every member in the forum feels welcomed and enjoys browsing around here without any anomalies.
I would like him to stay since he never has given trouble to the community, he's actually polite with all.

Okay, after reading through all of these posts, I've decided to let my brother stay on the forums. I'm just going to keep an eye on him.Haruka wrote:Me and the remaining staff's duty is to ensure that every member in the forum feels welcomed and enjoys browsing around here without any anomalies.I would like him to stay since he never has given trouble to the community, he's actually polite with all.

No problem. I understand your worries about your little brother. (Reminds mine who decided to stop studies and is currently working...).
