Dark Sewer is the third and final race course of the Beginner League in Rayman M. Completing this course will unlock all three levels of the Advanced League.

Structure
Akin to the Tomb of the Ancients in Rayman 2: The Great Escape, this course is set in an underground location with many paths to choose from. While one could run on the higher level on the left and slide down the steps, another could run along a thin wonky plank over sewage. Either path leads to a long wet slide with electric fences that swap sides when activated with switches. There are then two tunnels to choose from, again alternating (if a switch was hit, one can be locked while the other is open), which lead to a grated wall with spinning electric bars. At the bottom is a numbered box that reveals a bounce pad that will allow the player to avoid the electric bars.

The player then arrives at a large pit of sewage, where at one side there are three pillars - one could either cross the sewage on lowered pillars, or flick the switch in the middle of the three and reach a Purple Lum and take them to the higher level on the right full of speed ramps that are in all sorts of directions. Below that is a path of electric fences, speed ramps, and a short moving wall the player has to avoid. There are now three levels of platforms one could take, and flicking switches will make certain parts of them rise and lower. After this, there is another slide that leads to the finish line.

The Popolopoï mode for this level is unlocked when the player wins at least two courses in the Beginner mode, which can be completed in any order.
It features a basic set-up to allow new players to become accustomed to the game.

Description (Rayman M)
Sunset Coast is a twilighted map with cloudy sky located in the beach areas from the Glade of Dreams, making a part of the coasts from the world.
Its floor plan is nearly rectangular which can be divided in three sections and into three soil levels. It is surrounded by great mountained rocks with grass and sand in its surfaces. In the south section of the map, the west side of the floor has got a climbable sand pillar in a sandy floor while the east side has got grassy floor and a rocky pillar with grass in its surface that also gives access to the highest floor level of the map with rocky walls, grassy floor and bamboos sticked into the rocks. The north section of the map contains a higher rocky surface in the center and also a very high hourglass-shaped rocky pillar in the east side. The central section of the map contains the lowest floor level in which can be seen an orange-purpled palm tree side to a waterfall in the east side, making a river flow in the center and falling into the sea in the west side between the bamboos that block the player's passage from the end of the coast. Contrary to the PC version, in the PlayStation 2 version there are pink flowers spreaded in the map. The Gold Generator is located in the highest spot of the map in the Lum Fight mode and another six standard Generators spreaded around. The Light Fly is found in the center of the river in the Capture the Fly mode.

Description
This level, along with the other racing courses in the Beginner League, is based on the spooky levels of Rayman 2 such as the Tomb of the Ancients, though it has a lot of slippery wet areas for the characters to slide on. In this level there are lots of different routes and shortcuts, in which a large majority of people will not discover immediately since it is the first race. This includes one route which is blocked off by a box; this box needs to be shot four times in order for it to be cleared.

The Popolopoï mode for this level is unlocked when the player wins at least two courses in the Beginner mode, which can be completed in any order.

Menezis is a minigame from the Nintendo 64, PC and Dreamcast versions of Rayman 2. It is a basic space shooter where flying letters and numbers must be shot. In the Nintendo 64 version it is accessed by holding C-Left and quickly and repeatedly pressing the A+B buttons simultaneously during the credits. In the PC version it is accessed by the player waiting at the end screen of the game's credits until it appears or by typing "SHOOTEMUP" during the credits. In the Dreamcast version it is available as a downloadable bonus.

Description
The player controls a flying ‘E’ that may shoot commas by pressing the shoot button (the space bar).
The E can defend itself from enemy fire by pressing the jump button (the ‘A’ key on PC). Doing this causes the ‘E’ to grow in size, absorbing enemy bullets (full stops) without taking damage. The player can only do this if they have enough exclamation marks in the bottom-right corner of the screen, as defending themselves cost one ‘!’. Additional ‘!’s can be earned by colliding with them when they appear on the playing field.

The ‘E’ can only take three hits before the game is over. The player earns an additional life with every 100 points gained. Lives are shown in the top-left corner of the screen.

Enemies
There are three kinds of enemies in this game:
*The letter ‘X’: these come in two types: a type which flies by and shoots bullets and a type which tries to ‘kamikaze’ into the player's ‘E’ while shooting bullets.
*The letter ‘O’: these fire bullets in all directions, creating a spiral shape of bullets which the player's ‘E’ must avoid. These crawl by very slowly.
*The number ‘8’: these reside at the far-left side of the screen while periodically shooting large amounts of bullets in a certain direction.

See also
* Ray-Type Challenge, a minigame exclusive to Rayman Revolution, draws inspiration from Menezis.
Rayman Mini is a game released exclusively for the Apple Arcade service on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV. It launched with the service on September 19, 2019. On October 18 the game was released on Mac devices. The game features similar graphics and gameplay to that of the previous mobile game, Rayman Adventures.

In this game, Rayman is reduced to size of an ant. Players are tasked with clearing levels as quickly as possible by jumping off insects and plants.

Story
Although a story is never shown in the game, the Flaming Teensy can be seen in the trailer casting a spell on Rayman which makes him shrink in size. It is stated that Rayman is on a quest to reverse the spell in the game.
Gameplay
Similarly to previous mobile titles, the player will automatically run in each level, being able to attack and jump to avoid obstacles and collect Lums. However, unlike Rayman Adventures, where it is possible to switch direction, the player can only move in one direction, similar to Jungle Run and Fiesta Run.

Adventure
The main game mode is the adventure mode which was added for the game's launch. It is split up into multiple worlds, each with their own set of levels. There are six worlds in total, each with 8 levels and a boss fight. The sixth world isn't unlocked until all previous five bosses have been beaten. By collecting every Lum in a level, the player will be rewarded with an Electoon which can be used to unlock outfits. Each boss level will also earn the player a Swag Coin, which can be used to unlock additional outfits.
Challenges
On April 3 2020, the game was updated to add Online Challenges. Similar to those in Rayman Legends and Rayman Adventures, the player must run through an infinite level to gain as much distance as possible. Meeting certain requirements will allow the player to receive a cup at the end of the given week. These trophies earn the player points towards rewards.

On October 2 2020, the game was updated to add a music mode. This features 5 new stages, one for each world, with a music track playing from one of the music levels in Rayman Legends. Each level has 4 difficulty settings:

*Regular
*Perfect Ear (uses filters and the 8-bit variants of the tracks)
*Synchronized (uses filters)
*Maestro (uses filters and the 8-bit variants of the tracks)

The levels included in the mode are:

*Tropical Punch (uses the music from Gloo Gloo)
*Concerto in punch major (uses the music from Orchestral Chaos)
*Swapmy Flamenco (uses the music from Mariachi Madness)
*Life on a String (uses the music from Dragon Slayer)
*Black Birdy (uses the music from Castle Rock)
Unused content
With the game running in the same engine as Rayman Adventures it shares a lot of leftover assets from that game. This includes the Captain, the intro level and several unused assets as well, such as the Kung Foot mode.

Music levels
In the 1.2.0 update unfinished music levels were added to the game files, which were later finished and used for the music mode in version 1.3.0. There was one music level for every world and a test one in the developers personal folder. While they did not have any music in their current state, the music from the music levels in Rayman Legends (excluding Grannies World Tour) were found in the files.
Story
Unused text for the game's story can be found in the files. This includes an introduction and ending to the game. These do however not correspond with the story shown in the trailer, as there the Flaming Teensy is the cause for Rayman shrinking.

{{quote
Reception
Upon its reveal, Mini received mixed reception from fans of the series. While some expressed gratitude over Rayman still being relevant, others criticized the game for being another mobile game rather than a new console game. When Mini was finally released, it still got mixed reception; while the game was praised for its challenge and graphics, criticism drew upon its music, boss battles and how it did not contain story elements that the trailer promised.

Rise & Shrine is the second of three Beginner League battle arenas in Rayman M and the second round of Cup 1 League in Rayman Arena. It features a basic set-up to allow new players to become accustomed to the game. Its name is a pun of the common phrase rise and shine.

Description
Rise & Shrine is an open-air daylight map with a clean, sunny sky, located somewhere in the the Glade of Dreams. As its name suggests, it seems to be some sort of temple or shrine. In the background, the mountains and forest that were previously seen in Rayman 2 are visible, suggesting that this area may be located in the Great Forest, where the Buccaneer was seen in Rayman 2’s prologue.
Rise & Shrine's floor plan is essentially circular, with a rectangular gap that leads to a smaller circular area. It is surrounded by stone pillars, vines, very tall trees, and rocky and grassy walls. The floor of the main area is carved with symbols and has got a nearly cilindrical central platform with giratory walls which contain mythological symbols in white (Rayman M) or flashing lights (Rayman Arena), with a small and steady circular surface and a great circular base. Out of the base, the land is rocky and grassy. In the surroundings there are four coloured stone pillars with the same white symbols from the giratory central pillar. The colours and the symbols seem to represent Plato's elements although there isn't an official confirmation of the meaning of the symbols.
At norwest of the first player's starting point, there is an opening for a chamber that leads to a small circular room with four trapezoid windows and an hexagonal window in the roof. Inside this room there is a Gold Generator in the Lum Fight mode and another six standard Generators: one above each stone pillar and other two in two concavities findable in the trees, one at the north area and other in the west area. The Light Fly is found inside the room from the northwest chamber in the Capture the Fly mode.

Bullets, also known as balls, are items that appear in several games of the Rayman series. They are seen in the original Rayman game, Rayman Junior, Rayman Designer, and the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids. The hunters' projectiles are the bullets.

In Rayman and its spin-offs
In the original Rayman game, a bullet appears when a hunter shoots his gun from spotting Rayman. They can't be defeated, so Rayman has to either jump or duck to avoid getting hit. The speed of the bullets are relatively slow, but their range is wide; Rayman is likely to get hurt if he doesn't react to them.

In the Atari Jaguar version, when a bullet is shot, the hammer doesn't appear until after a couple seconds. This is the only version where that happens.

In Rayman Designer
Along with the hunters, the bullets return as an enemy event in Rayman Designer. They are known in the game as Balls. There is a new hunter in the game that shoots a bullet that goes up, then comes down, making it more difficult for Rayman to avoid it. This new bullet is not separate as an enemy event; only the horizontal one can be chosen. Bullets are also slower than they were in the original Rayman game.

In the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids
The bullets, like the hunters, return in the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids. They behave the same way as they do in the original Rayman game.
