Dark Globox is a one-off character that appears only in the North American releases of Rayman Arena for the Gamecube and XBox, as an unlockable, playable character. Despite not appearing in any European release as a character, his theme song is used to represent Globette in Rayman Rush in all regions.

Character Description
Dark Globox is a larger, uglier doppelgänger of Globox. His skin is purple in colour, he has a tuft of messy black hair on his head, has wonky yellow buck teeth sticking out of his mouth, and on his back is a picture of a skull, to represent his nastiness. He uses the same technique to shoot as his mild-mannered counterpart, but to glide, he spins into a mini tornado in the air, much like the Tasmanian Devil from the Looney Tunes. Being a dark character, he is very bad-mannered, and is unable to speak anything that's decipherable.

A blue-green skin is available as an unlockable, which makes him look more similar to Globox.

70.188.151.63: /* Common Rabbids */

Rabbids aren't all identical, as there are a couple of specimens which have different characteristics than others. While most of them usually just differ in their clothing, there are some which differ in shape and size as well. The most unusual bunny of them all is the Sergueï, a giant, metal muzzle-wearing rabbit with red glowing eyes. It appears to be the leader (or at least main henchman) of the bunnies and it is the one responsible for throwing Rayman in jail, appearing as a guard of some sort. Another different bunny called Pink, a robotic bunny, has large, long ears and big glowing eyes. He is seen in the "Bunny Hunt" mini games with some sort of vehicle having four legs, and is the final enemy fought in the first game. The Rabbids also seem to have a larger breed, which have a considerably lower voice and appear in a darker, gray color. They mostly appear in the on-rail segments, and require multiple plungers to subdue.

Common Rabbids
The "normal" Rabbids appear in a variety of getups. These are listed below:

He appears to be dressed like Elvis Presley or Fonzie from Happy Days.
The other Rabbids seem to respect him with authority. He appears in the opening movie of Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, attempting to identify Rayman with the European Wii gamebox of the Rayman Raving Rabbids|first game (until Rayman screams "DAAAH!").

* Pink (Robotus Pinkus), AKA T4III7773344303XXX: A robotic rabbit with large ears. It is protected by a forcefield at all times, so explosives must be used to defeat it. It is found only in a few Bunny Hunt mini games. It also dances with the other Rabbids during the credits sequence. This Rabbid appears exclusively in the first Rayman Ravng Rabbids.

* Professor Barranco: A Rabbid who has the top portion of his head wrapped in gauze. He is, according to the manual, the smartest Rabbid, but he never gets in your way, except in "Bunnies Are Not Ostriches." He does not seem to be liked much by the other Rabbids, as Sergueï steps on him and other Rabbids frequently hit him with blunt objects. He seems to be conducting tests on pain and the effects of various weapons. He also appears in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 as an unlockable costume.

* Professor Rabbid: A Rabbid in a wheelchair and a parody of Professor X in the X-Rabbids on rabbids.com.

* Pyrabbid: A Rabbid with the abilities of Pyro (comics)|Pyro and one of the X-Rabbids on rabbids.com.

* Rabbidsformer: A bunny shown transforming from a toilet. Shown in a trailer that's an obvious parody of the Transformers (film)|Transformers trailer. Another one, more complicated skin-wise, less complicated technology-wise, appears as an unlockable costume in-game.

* Rabble Droid: The commander of the rabbid army, and the final boss of the DS version of Rayman Raving Rabbids. He resembles a humongous mutant rabbid with a robotic head and a little spaceship in his bottom part. Regular rabbids are driving this spaceship.

* Rabbneto: A Rabbid with the helmet and abilities of Magneto (comics)|Magneto and one of the X-Rabbids on rabbids.com.

* Rabuto: From promotional videos for Raving Rabbids 2, the character is based on Naruto Uzumaki|Naruto from the anime series of the Naruto|same name. This costume is now only available on the Japanese version due to copyright issues.

* Robot Bunny (Robotus Lapinus), alias T1000 and ¾: A black, robotic Rabbid with red eyes. Appears in "Bunnies Aren't Scared of the Dark" only. The T1000 could be a parody of the T-1000 robot from the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

* Rolling Bunny: A Rabbid inside a glass ball, that comes rolling down corridors. The ball always breaks before it gets to you, however. Appears only in "Bunnies Aren't Scared of the Dark."

* Scott Monroe Bunny: A Rabbid with the suit, shades, and tattoos of Scott Monroe, one of the main characters in Ubisoft's Wii|Wii-released Red Steel (but called Bunny Steel in rabbids.com). He holds a plunger gun on the left hand, a long-armed frying spatular on the other, parodying the game's two-weaponed gameplay.

* Spider-Rabbid: A rabbid that wears a Spider-Man outfit, is a playable character in Raving Rabbids 2. He also has his own mini-game.

* SPARTAN Bunny: A Rabbid shown in promotion art for Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. It is dressed as Master Chief (Halo)|Master Chief from the Halo (series)|Halo series.

* Sergueï (Grandus Lapinus): A much bigger Rabbid than usual, this rabbit is menacing, especially when you take into the account that it has glowing red eyes, a metallic muzzle, and much darker hairs. It is the one responsible for throwing Rayman in prison. Although it is the main recurring Rabbid in Rayman Raving Rabbids, it only makes a minor cameo in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, where it is seen climbing the Eiffel Tower on the game's cover. It is also in the role of Beast (comics)|Beast of the X-Rabbids on rabbids.com.

* The Chef From Outer Space: A bigger than usual Rabbid (though only by about 3 inches) appears as the boss of two FPS levels in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. His weak point is his back for reasons unknown, though it could be because he has a weak spine. Like several other Rabbids in this game, the Chef From Outer Space has several smaller versions of him, all seen chasing a human chef. Interestingly, the game lists him as "The Chief From Outer Space". In the end, he is killed by a falling Green UFO.

* The Rabbinator: A much larger Rabbid wearing a leather jacket and shades appears as the boss of the first FPS section of Raving Rabbids 2, as a nod to The Terminator. A much smaller rabbid is controlling the Rabbinator from inside his chest, which is also his weak point. As it is damaged, various parts of his fur fall off, revealing his cybernetic body. Unlike in The Terminator movies, The Rabbinator appears fully clothed. Another reference to The Terminator in this Rabbid is that its hobby is time travel. In the end, he is killed by the plungers you shoot at him.

* The Raving Rabbids: A band of Rabbids that cut the hit single "Making Fun (Of Everyday Life)" that appears in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and on rabbids.com. It is believed that they are also the same Rabbids that sing all the songs in the games, and if that is the case, they borrow a cue from Gnarls Barkley by appearing in different outfits for each performance.

* The Village Rabbids: A quintet of Rabbids dressed like a motorcycle cop, an Indian, a construction worker, a cowboy, and one in a biker hat. They are seen parking a flying submarine outside the White House, and are an obvious parody of the Village People.

* Toad Rabbid: A Rabbid with the goggles and tongue of Toad (comics)|Toad seen in the X-Rabbids on rabbids.com.

* Wolverabbid: A Rabbid with Wolverine (film)|Wolverine like claws and hair. Seen in the X-Rabbids on rabbids.com

Rayman: Raving Rabbids is the first video game of a spin-off series based on the Rayman series. It was released for the Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation 2, PC, and the Game Boy Advance in 2006, followed by ports for the Nintendo DS and the Microsoft Xbox 360 in 2007.

Plot
Rayman and the Baby Globoxes are having a picnic in a forest when three Rabbids erupt from the ground, capturing the Baby Globoxes. Rayman tries to offer them food, but then Serguei comes and grabs Rayman. The Rabbids take Rayman and the Baby Globoxes to their coliseum and keep them in jail cells.

In order to escape, Rayman must collect plungers to build a ladder up to the window so he can jump out. He does this by taking part in trials to entertain the Rabbids. After trials, Rayman is rewarded with a plunger and is taken back to his jail cell to get some rest for the next day's lot of trials. As he goes on, Rayman's cell is decorated to look nicer and he wins more costumes and songs. After every day, he goes to the ladder of plungers, looking at the window hoping to escape, but a bird always comes and poops on him. After fifteen days, Rayman finally collects enough plungers and escapes, getting his revenge on the annoying bird on the way. Back at the forest, Rayman sees sheep eating the remains of the picnic and remembers he forgot the Baby Globoxes. He tries to go back through a hole in which they were captured through but ends up stuck.

Characters
Rayman and the Rabbids are the main stars of this game. Also included are the Baby Globoxes, the only returning characters, the Rabbids henchmen, strange creatures that look like a cross between rhinos and elephants and some animals, who only serve as fillers.

Rayman: Rayman was taken by surprise by this invasion from within. What do the Rabbids intend to do? It's hard to say.
But now they're everywhere and their atypical psyches make them formidable and unpredictable opponents.

A Few Rabbids...

Pink: Pink is mute and timid. Yet, with just a little patience you can easily learn the basics of his method of communication and understand what he says. For example, "Hey mate!! What's up?" is translated, in his language, by firing a heat-seaking missile. (It is true that, long term, you could say that all he really knows how to say is "Hey mate!! What's up?").

Serguei: Serguei is a softy. Out of pure coquetry, he wears a delightful, finely worked metal muzzle. His joie de vivre and his strong sense of repartee make him a very pleasant companion. He's always ready to keep things light and lively with little tricks, such as grinding phalanxes, switching your clavicles, or even playing "this little piggy" with your toes.

Professor Barranco: Professor Barranco is a scientist. He is currently writing a very complex thesis on thermodynamics and the resistance of certain materials. For the moment, he is accumulating certain certain experimental data, firstly, on their resistance of cranial bones to the impact of a bludgeon, and secondly, the resistance to high temperatures generated by the explosion of booby-trapped gifts.

The frog-rabbids: The frog-Rabbids are part of the elite commando team. They are formidable combatants. They are systematically sent out on the most dangerous missions, such as assaults on carrot juice bars, infiltrating a popular chorus or even maintaining the peace in front of the toilets.

Clark: Clark is not a Rabbid like the others. His Super-powers enable him to accomplish feats that gain him respect and admiration from everyone. He is the inventor and the undisputed champion of a new kind of biathlon (the consecutive combo: Descending Flight + Vertical Subterranean Race).
His personal record: 2300 DF + 47cm VSR

Rayman 4 Revenge of Reflux
Rayman Raving Rabbids was first announced at E3 2006. It was shown to be a completely different game: an action-platformer which would be Rayman 4, and it would include the minigames as bonuses. Michel Ancel was originally in charge of this game, but after he'd done the important parts, he let the rest of team carry on so he could start on some other projects. While he was gone, the team, for some reason, decided to ditch the whole platformer part and just include the minigames.

The official description is this:

Beware of the Rabbids!
In Rayman’s world, there once lived sweet little cute rabbits that were constantly victimized by more
ferocious animals. One day, they disappeared from the Earth’s surface, secretly planning their massive
invasion. Armed with enormous war machines, they have now returned to enslave Rayman’s world and
get their final revenge!

Combat the Ultra-Crazed Evil Rabbits - Take control of Rayman and his knack for attack to help save his world from the Raving Rabbids. They are mischievous, insane and completely out of control. There are several types of Rabbids each with its own mischievous characteristics.

Master and Ride Creatures - Tame and control various creatures such as sharks, eagles, rhinos, spiders and angelfish. Rayman can master each animal's unique capabilities to help in his battle against the devious rabbits.

Dress to Impress - Customize and disguise Rayman. Go punk, pop, rock or hip hop to infiltrate the bunnies and foil their devious plans.

Explore the Colorful Fantastic World of Rayman - Explore amazing free-roaming environments and beautiful epic landscapes that mix real and fantastical styles to create a visually stunning experience.

Not much is known about Rayman 4, but there are some things that were hinted or confirmed:
* Lums would be back.
* Globox, Ly, Murfy, and the Teensies would return.
* Andre would return and make an alliance with Rayman.
* Rayman had to save his girlfriend, his old enemy, and his old enemy's girlfriend.
* Ly would be Rayman's girlfriend.
* From the screenshots, you can tell that all the worlds would have been dark.
* There was going to be ten worlds.
* The Rabbids had been planning the invasion since the events of Rayman 1.

There had been brief gameplay clips of the original Rayman 4 prior to the change shown, and it could be seen that costumes would've been used similarly to the powers seen in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. Some of the concepts seen were applied to Rayman Raving Rabbids as well. For example, in one minigame in Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman must throw a cow attached to a chain a certain distance by spinning in place in a circular motion. The Rock Costume in the original Rayman 4 was seen to also have Rayman swinging a chain in a circular motion as in the minigame, though using it as an attack instead.

Some fans hope that Ubisoft will one day release this version and intitle the videogame Revenge Of Reflux but with Reflux revived in a new body new laser washing powder weapons instead of costumes and different enemies instead of the Rabbids and secret unlockable characters from the upcoming cartoon Rayman Advent Ubisoft will celebrate the 15th anniversary of Rayman in 2010 and Rayman will always return for more Rayman videogames.

Not much is known about Rayman 4, but there are some things that were hinted or confirmed:
* Lums would be back.

Rayman 4

Explore the Colorful Fantastic World of Rayman - Explore amazing free-roaming environments and beautiful epic landscapes that mix real and fantastical styles to create a visually stunning experience.
