'''Dark Globox''' is a one-off character that appears only in the North American releases of ''[[Rayman Arena]]'' for the Gamecube and XBox, as an unlockable, playable character. Despite not appearing in any European release as a character, his theme song is used to represent [[Globette]] in ''[[Rayman Rush]]'' in all regions.

==Character Description==
Dark Globox is a larger, uglier doppelgänger of [[Globox]]. His skin is purple in colour, he has a tuft of messy black hair on his head, has wonky yellow buck teeth sticking out of his mouth, and on his back is a picture of a skull, to represent his nastiness. He uses the same technique to shoot as his mild-mannered counterpart, but to glide, he spins into a mini tornado in the air, much like the Tasmanian Devil from the ''Looney Tunes''. Being a dark character, he is very bad-mannered, and is unable to speak anything that's decipherable.

A blue-green [[skin]] is available as an unlockable, which makes him look more similar to Globox.

Types of Rabbids

Rabbids aren't all identical, as there are a couple of specimens which have different characteristics than others. While most of them usually just differ in their clothing, there are some which differ in shape and size as well. The most unusual bunny of them all is the Sergueï, a giant, metal muzzle-wearing rabbit with red glowing eyes. It appears to be the leader (or at least main henchman) of the bunnies and it is the one responsible for throwing Rayman in jail, appearing as a guard of some sort. Another different bunny called Pink, a robotic bunny, has large, long ears and big glowing eyes. He is seen in the "Bunny Hunt" mini games with some sort of vehicle having four legs, and is the final enemy fought in the first game. The Rabbids also seem to have a larger breed, which have a considerably lower voice and appear in a darker, gray color. They mostly appear in the on-rail segments, and require multiple plungers to subdue.

* '''The Chef From Outer Space''': A bigger than usual Rabbid (though only by about 3 inches) appears as the boss of two FPS levels in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. His weak point is his back for reasons unknown, though it could be because he has a weak spine. Like several other Rabbids in this game, the Chef From Outer Space has several smaller versions of him, all seen chasing a human chef. Interestingly, the game lists him as "The Chief From Outer Space". In the end, he is killed by a falling Green UFO.

* '''The Rabbinator''': A much larger Rabbid wearing a leather jacket and shades appears as the boss of the first FPS section of Raving Rabbids 2, as a nod to ''The Terminator''. A much smaller rabbid is controlling the Rabbinator from inside his chest, which is also his weak point. As it is damaged, various parts of his fur fall off, revealing his cybernetic body. Unlike in The Terminator movies, The Rabbinator appears fully clothed. Another reference to ''The Terminator'' in this Rabbid is that its hobby is time travel. In the end, he is killed by the plungers you shoot at him.

* '''The Raving Rabbids''': A band of Rabbids that cut the hit single "Making Fun (Of Everyday Life)" that appears in ''Rayman Raving Rabbids 2'' and on rabbids.com. It is believed that they are also the same Rabbids that sing all the songs in the games, and if that is the case, they borrow a cue from Gnarls Barkley by appearing in different outfits for each performance.

* '''The Village Rabbids''': A quintet of Rabbids dressed like a motorcycle cop, an Indian, a construction worker, a cowboy, and one in a biker hat. They are seen parking a flying submarine outside the White House, and are an obvious parody of the Village People.

==Plot==
[[Rayman]] and the [[Baby Globox]]es are having a picnic in a forest when three [[Rabbid]]s erupt from the ground, capturing the Baby Globoxes. Rayman tries to offer them food, but then Serguei comes and grabs Rayman. The Rabbids take Rayman and the Baby Globoxes to their coliseum and keep them in jail cells.

In order to escape, Rayman must collect plungers to build a ladder up to the window so he can jump out. He does this by taking part in trials to entertain the Rabbids. After trials, Rayman is rewarded with a plunger and is taken back to his jail cell to get some rest for the next day's lot of trials. As he goes on, Rayman's cell is decorated to look nicer and he wins more costumes and songs. After every day, he goes to the ladder of plungers, looking at the window hoping to escape, but a bird always comes and poops on him. After fifteen days, Rayman finally collects enough plungers and escapes, getting his revenge on the annoying bird on the way. Back at the forest, Rayman sees sheep eating the remains of the picnic and remembers he forgot the Baby Globoxes. He tries to go back through a hole in which they were captured through but ends up stuck.

Rayman and the Rabbids are the main stars of this game. Also included are the Baby Globoxes, the only returning characters, the Rabbids henchmen, strange creatures that look like a cross between rhinos and elephants and some animals, who only serve as fillers.

[[Rayman]]: Rayman was taken by surprise by this invasion from within. What do the Rabbids intend to do? It's hard to say.
But now they're everywhere and their atypical psyches make them formidable and unpredictable opponents.

Pink: Pink is mute and timid. Yet, with just a little patience you can easily learn the basics of his method of communication and understand what he says. For example, "Hey mate!! What's up?" is translated, in his language, by firing a heat-seaking missile. (It is true that, long term, you could say that all he really knows how to say is "Hey mate!! What's up?").

Some fans hope that Ubisoft will one day release this version and intitle the videogame Revenge Of Reflux but with Reflux revived in a new body new laser washing powder weapons instead of costumes and different enemies instead of the Rabbids and secret unlockable characters from the upcoming cartoon Rayman Advent Ubisoft will celebrate the 15th anniversary of Rayman in 2010 and Rayman will always return for more Rayman videogames.

Back at the forest, Rayman sees sheep eating the remains of the picnic and remembers he forgot the Baby Globoxes. He tries to go back through a hole in which they were captured through but ends up stuck.
