The third disc included a Rayman Rush demo. It came as a single PlayStation disc in a cardboard sleeve, which came with 4 playable demos of upcoming games: World Rally Champion Arcade, Pink Panther, Destruction Derby Raw and Rayman Rush.

It contained one playable demo level, the same level but multi-player (Player 1 played as Rayman, Player 2 as Globox) and game-play footage.

The Hall of Doors was the way for players in the original version of Rayman 2 as well as in the PlayStation version to select what level they wanted to play. It was accessible to players after completing the first level, the Woods of Light, at the end of which the Grand Minimus shows Rayman the way to the Hall.

The Hall of Doors was constructed by the Teensies, who lead Rayman to it near the beginning of Rayman 2. The place where all paths eventually meet, the Hall of Doors is a dark wood, with a glass-like river stretching throughout it. The river contains Magic Spiral Doors leading to the levels of the game. Stars are seen both in the sky and in the distance below the river. When Rayman walks to a Magic Spiral Door, a hologram of something from that Door's level appears.

In the PlayStation version, the Hall of Doors looks a little different from that in the original version. It was replaced by the Isle of Doors in the Dreamcast version, and the Front in the PS2 remake, Rayman Revolution.

In the PlayStation version, a certain number of Yellow Lums are required to gain access through each of the four main doors that are present in the Hall of Doors. The first requires Rayman to have 50, the second 150, the third 400 and the forth 600.

Rayman 3 (GBA) is a portable version of the console game of the same name which was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. It is the first handheld Rayman game to feature multi-player modes which made use of the Game Boy Advance/GameCube link cable, to link to the GameCube version. It is a 2D side-scrolling game with elements from Rayman, Rayman 2, and Rayman 3, though it is mostly centered around the story of Rayman 2. It is thought to have been originally developed as a GBA version of Rayman 2, and that its Rayman 3 elements were added late in its development so that it could be marketed as a GBA version of Rayman 3. There are also versions of this game for some mobile phones, and it was ported to the Nokia N-Gage. It had not received the "Hoodlum Havoc" subtitle due to Hoodlums only being present as enemies in two levels of the game (Hoodlum Hideout and Wretched Ruins).

Plot
The game begins as Rayman rebukes Globox for swallowing a Dark Lum while he was trying to save the Teensies. As Rayman is about to go and find a way to cure him, Globox runs away, and leaves him worried that he'll end up doing something stupid. Meanwhile, Razorbeard hears about this incident and becomes hellbent on catching Globox to extract the Dark Lum, so he can use it for his own gain of power, while hoping to destroy Rayman again with the Grolgoth.

Single-player Gameplay
Like in Rayman 2, Rayman has to collect 999 Yellow Lums and also find 50 cage - apparently the Heart of the World has been broken again by the Robo-Pirates, but it has also become his main mission to find Globox and have the Dark Lum removed and destroyed. The Yellow Lums are found in the vast majority of the levels, though 14 of them have between 2-4 cages each, unlike the original Rayman in which the 102 cages of Electoons are divided neatly into 6 for each level. Also, not all 50 cages have to be broken in order to reach the Heart of the Ancients.

The game is split into four hub worlds, which contain between 6-9 levels each, including bonus areas which are unlocked when every single Yellow Lum in a world is collected. These worlds can be accessed one at a time on a world map similar to that in Rayman, and inside, the levels are presented as curtains rather than Spiral doors. A red curtain is a level that cannot be accessed just yet, while a blue curtain is one which is open for Rayman to step in. If a blue curtain is sparkling, that means that all the Yellow Lums in that level have been collected. At the end of these worlds is a lightpost guarded by Teensies, though they will only let Rayman move on if he has completed certain levels. Rayman can also exit both a level or a world if he walks to the exit signs at the beginning. Each world contains at least one boss and a Mega Havoc bonus level.

Multi-Player Gameplay
As well as the single player story mode, there is also a number of multi player games in which up to four players can play using the Game Boy Advance Game Link cable. Players can either choose the Single-pak link, in which only one Game Pak is needed to play with up to 2 players, or the Multi-Pak link, in which each of up to four players will need a copy of the same cartridge each.

Single-Pak game
In this game, both players control Rayman riding in the same rocketship that he uses in Heart of the Ancients, and the aim is to defeat each other, akin to the Missile Dogfight game in Rayman Revolution.

Tag Mode
This game is a tag game in which the player with the tag has to hurry and tag the others before their time runs out, and they can only do so by picking up the Fist power-up and using it.

Burglar Mode
This time, the player with the tag has to keep him or herself as far away from the others as possible, and the first one to reach the maximum time of one minute wins. A second Burglar map can only be unlocked when Rayman completes Ly's Punch Challenge 2 in the single player story mode.

Bumper Car Race
This is a bumper cars race that is set in the same environment as that in Magma Mayhem, and as such a player has to take care not to get pushed into the lava by the others as they race three laps for first place.

Bumper Car Arena
This is the same game as above, only this time the aim is for each player to push their opponents into the lava. The last one standing is the winner. This can only be unlocked when all 50 cages have been found and broken.

GameCube Link
Players which have both Rayman 3 on the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo GameCube can link the two games together using the special Game Boy Advance/GameCube link cable. Both of these have content only playable through this method. On the GameCube, there are unlockable minigames where Rayman is driving Kart and Globox is building Rayman's path. There is a second minigame similar to this, except two link cables, two Rayman 3 GBA cartridges, and two GameCube controllers are required. This one is basically the same, though there is a second team consisting of Reflux and Gumsi. On the Game Boy Advance, when the link is detected (due to data having to be transferred from the GameCube game to play), shorter bonus stages are available to play. A new bonus stage becomes available for every 100 Yellow Lums collected (out of 1000).
Powers
Typically, Rayman will need certain powers to reach certain areas and as a result will have to return to them later once Ly the Fairy gives him all the powers he needs. Thankfully he begins the game with his Telescopic fist, which is much like that in Rayman, though at that point it is basic.

* Double Fists: This power allows Rayman to quickly use both his fists, which becomes useful for knocking down large objects.
* Grappling Fist: This allows him to grab onto Purple Lums and reach places he couldn't before.
* Climbing between two walls: Once Rayman receives this power, he will be able to scale between two walls.
* Super Helicopter: Allows Rayman to fly with his Helicopter whenever he eats a Blue Lum.
* Body Shot: This exclusive power allows Rayman to use his body to throw downwards and break weak floors, such as wooden bridges, open. This can only be done when he is in the air.

Items
*Yellow Lums: Rayman has to collect all of these in every level. Some are hidden, and some are in his pathway. Getting all of the Lums in one world gives him access to the Mega Havoc level of that world.
*Red Lums: These refill one space of Rayman's health if he collects one.
*Blue Lums: Blue Lums let Rayman use his helicopter hair to fly. Most of them only allow him to do it for a short time, but at one point in the game he finds one that lets him fly for as long as he wants until he reaches the end of that part.
*Green Lums: These work as checkpoints. If Rayman collect a Green Lum, he returns to the place he got it if he dies.
*Silver Lums: Whenever Rayman collects one of these he will gain an extra life. They are some of the rarest Lums in the game.
*Cages: Cages are hidden throughout the levels, and imprisoned within them are some of the inhabitants. Rayman usually has to hit the cage twice to free them.
*Lightposts: These are green lights on a post. They always at the end of a part of a level, and whenever Rayman goes to one, he will proceed to the next part of the level.
*Magic curtains: These are what Rayman uses to enter a level in the world map. They are blue in colour and the red ones must be unlocked.
Exit signs are signs that Rayman must reach to end a level's part, to then continue onto the next part or the end of the current level. Another exit sign has an arrow on the front of it, treats another purpose, so if Rayman touched it, it wold send him back to the world map. These are seen at the beginning of each level.
Exit signs appear in Rayman and its remakes, as well as the Game Boy Advance adaptations of Rayman 3 and Rayman Raving Rabbids. "Figures. They're raiding the Fairy Council! Enough is enough. I was told that after Rayman 2 I'd be cast as a tormented artist who falls for a girl with great big... uh, eyes. And here I am, playing sidekick again in a low-budget flick. Yeesh!" - Murfy, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

Murfy (sometimes spelled as Murphy) is a character who made his début in Rayman 2: The Great Escape, and later appears for a short while in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. He serves as a flying encyclopedia, and it is his job to provide as much information about the world to Rayman as he can, as well as teaching him how to train and perform his moves. In the PlayStation version of Rayman 2 he does not do this, as it seems that a number of his kind are prisoners found in cages. In this game, their species are instead known as Murphys.

Character Description
Murfy is a small flying creature with a green head, and despite his frog-like appearance, he is actually a greenbottle, a sort of fly, as revealed in the instruction booklet of Rayman 3. He always sports a huge cheesy grin showing large teeth, and is always dressed in green, yellow and purple clothes, almost identical of those of the Grand Minimus Teensies. In his appearance in Rayman 3 he has undergone a number of changes, such as his hands and eyes, which are now much bigger than in Rayman 2, and his wings have become more fly-like. His clothes have also been slightly changed, notably his shoes which are elf-like. He also appears to have fingers and legs now, unlike the previous game.

The greenbottles are known to play practical jokes; many Ludivs have fallen victim to their pranks, and have been stripped of their glasses.

Videogame Appearances
Rayman 2
In all versions of Rayman 2 except for the Playstation and Gameboy Color versions, Murfy seems to be an innocent character that plays as a guide for Rayman, giving him instructions on how to pull off his moves while going through the Woods of Light. All around the world there are Stones of Thought. If Rayman stands next to one of these for a while and thinks, Murfy will come back to him and repeat his instructions.

Rayman Revolution
Murfy's job as an instructor is a little more looked into at the beginning of Rayman Revolution, as there is an extra stage after the Woods of Light in which he along with a baby Globox teaches Rayman how to swim and how to shoot, using a scarecrow as his first target.

Rayman 3
Murfy later appears in Rayman 3, and this time he carries a manual (a purple booklet with a picture of the original Rayman's face on it and the circle on the front of Rayman's torso on the inside), which he reads from instead of passing his own knowledge to Rayman. He develops a more cocky personality than before, and often rants about how he is stuck with being a sidekick, as well as giving witty comments and sarcastic remarks about the Manual as Rayman goes through the Fairy Council. In this game, he is voiced by Billy West, who had also voiced Rayman in the Animated Series four years earlier. Unlike Rayman 2, in which he can appear anywhere in the game which has a Stone of Thought, Murfy leaves at the Heart of the World.

Other games
Murfy also makes brief appearances in many handheld Rayman games, such as Rayman 3 for the GBA and Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge, in which he overviews the games' instructions as before. In the GBA version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, he is sent to help Rayman escape from his cell.

Cameos
* Although Murfy is in the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids as a guide, his face can also be seen in the 'Shoot a Rabbid' minigames.
* Murfy also appears in Rayman Arena as a reporter/paparazzi in cutscenes that play before each new cup is played.
* In Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, Murfy has the default third highest score on each minigame, scoring 6000 on each.
A Blue Lum is a type of Lum that is found underwater in all versions of Rayman 2 except for Rayman Revolution, in which they are replaced with air bubbles. Some stay to provide all the oxygen he needs, other will disappear, but those ones may reappear.

History
Blue Lums in Rayman 2 are said to represent the origin of all life, and the very first breath of a creature's life. When a creature is born, it is given a Blue Lum to keep until the day it dies. As he is the only being Polokus didn't dream about, Rayman may or may not carry his own Blue Lums to breathe.

Super Yellow Lums are a special type of Lum made of the reunion of 5 Yellow Lums.

In Rayman 2
These are found in all versions of Rayman 2 except for the Game Boy Color adaptation. However, they do not appear in Rayman Revolution. They can be recognized by their big faces and their typical size. In Prima's Official Strategy Guide for Rayman 2, they are referred as “Five-Pack Yellow Lums”.

It resembles a larger Yellow Lum, with a grinning face. When Rayman collects one, it counts as five normal Yellow Lums, suggesting that Super Yellow Lums are formed of five Yellow Lums joined together, in the same fashion that the Heart of the World is formed of 1000 Yellow Lums. In Rayman Revolution, each of the 1000 Yellow Lums must be found separately; there are no Super Yellow Lums.

Yellow Lums are the most important of all Lums. They, along with the red, blue, and Purple Lums, created the god Polokus, who went on to create the Glade of Dreams. There are exactly 1000 Yellow Lums in existence; when united (which seems to be their natural state), they form the Heart of the World, which was shattered into its constituent Yellow Lums by the Robo-Pirate army prior to the beginning of Rayman 2. Rayman collected all 1000 of them throughout the course of this game; the Heart (which contains them) is seen again in the Fairy Council in Rayman 3.

There is some evidence to suggest that the Great Protoon and the Heart of the World are in fact the same object; the reason for its differing appearance in Rayman and Rayman 3 may be its destruction by the Robo-Pirates and its subsequent reconstruction by Rayman and the Teensies. If this is true, then the 1000 Yellow Lums (in the form of the Great Protoon) actually appeared in Rayman.

If enough Yellow Lums are collected, the collector can find out secrets of the world. This can be done by holding down the L button in Rayman DS.

In most versions of Rayman 2, Razorbeard eats a Yellow Lum during a cutscene. This causes the total Yellow Lum counter on the heads-up display to decrease from 1000 to 999. This Lum, however, can later be found in a secret room in the Tomb of the Ancients. In Rayman Revolution, it is instead found in the same chest as the Lums Radar.

In the PlayStation version, there are only 800 Yellow Lums, which do not give Rayman any knowledge, although it states it does. In this version, the Yellow Lum which Razorbeard eats is replaced by a Red one.

In Rayman Raving Rabbids (GBA) there are 1550 Yellow lums.
The objective is to collect a keg at the beginning of the map where a keg dispenser is present, and to carry it as close as possible to the boss, which in this case is a giant Rabbid. The Rabbid throws bombs towards you, which you must then throw the keg upwards, shoot at the bomb and catch the keg again, as to not drop the keg or get hit. Then Rayman should continue advancing until he is close enough to throw the keg at the boss. This must be done three times to complete the level.
This makes Rayman's fist at its full potential as long as he collects them by finding them in a level, or winning a bonus level.
Original version
Before entering the Cave, Rayman has to remember the name of it, as Clark tells him in the Menhir Hills, otherwise Jano will shoo him away. In this version of the game, it is found by walking on a giant branch to Rayman's left at the beginning of the Marshes of Awakening, until he sees Jano standing behind walls of cobwebs. Provided that he reads that Rayman knows the name of this place, he will shake his skull headed stick which hypnotises Rayman and teleports him to the inside of the Cave.

Phase 1
Down the backbone of a gigantic animal, there is a Purple Lum to grab to cross a wide gap with rivers of living thorns at the bottom. Skulls fall down into this, and Rayman uses them to get across some more, as well as climbing on walls with bones embedded into them. Then there is a wide hole in which a skeletal clawed hand pops out to grab Rayman and pull him into the unknown, but that can be prevented by shooting at them. After that, there are three pillars with climbable bones that sink as soon as Rayman grabs on.

Down the next corridor which is riddled with more skeletal hands, there is a double wall Rayman can wall jump inside of, but from time to time they space themselves out so he can't climb up, and then close in. At the top, there is now a chasm, and on a wide edge there is a gold pedestal, like the one found in the Sanctuary of Water and Ice guarded by Mini Janos. About four to six of these appear, two at a time, and they all need to be defeated in order for the matching Magic Sphere to appear. Once they join, the pedestal moves and Rayman has to drop down the hole it reveals.

Now there are two more pedestals, which surround a carving on the wall that looks like the one-eyed monsters Rayman had just encountered. To his left is a ledge that leads to two passages to choose from - each one is where a Magic Sphere can be found. The silver sphere is found in the passage of the left, the gold one to the right. In the silver chamber, there are giant slabs of stone that rotate on top of tall rocks, which Rayman needs to cross and throw the sphere back and then carry it to its correct pedestal. In the gold chamber, there is a skull supported by a skeletal arm, which moves Rayman across the gap to the other side. Another moving double wall is passed through onto another moving skull, which leads to a series of pillars that are teeming with shadow creatures. Near them is a skull that moves upwards to a ledge where the gold sphere is found. This chamber is circular, so all Rayman needs to do is throw it down a few ledges rather than going all the way back. When both of the spheres are placed on their pedestals, the carving opens up by the mouth, and Rayman drops down a hole that is covered fragile shards of green crystal.

Phase 2
Rayman is now in a passage with a slope covered with shining green crystal, and then Jano reappears from underground, threatening to eat him. So he now has to slide down, shooting any crystal growths that are in his way - if he slides too slowly, Jano will eat him, causing him to respawn at the beginning. At the end, he will enter a chasm where he has to avoid the fire that Jano breathes, just like his smaller counterparts. Jano will then generate floating skulls which can be stopped by Rayman's shots, and then he can jump from them to get to where Jano is standing. Jano, who is invincible, will keep breathing fire and generating skulls until he is chased to the far end of the chasm by Rayman, and then dig himself underground, allowing the limbless hero to walk into a chamber piled with treasure.

A single coin is flicked and rolls to his feet, and Jano them offers him all this treasure to keep for himself. There are two options to choose from - "I want the treasure", and "No treasure for me". The former is obviously the greedy choice, but if Rayman chooses that, he will be taken to a small deserted island where he gains a drastic amount of weight, and lazes in a deckchair with a fraction of his gold surrounding him. This scene pretends to be an ending, with the words "THE END" appearing, but then it returns to Rayman's decision. Rejecting the treasure, he is teleported back to the Marshes of Awakening, and congratulated by Jano for not being greedy. As a reward, Jano gives him the Elixer of Life to take to Clark back at the Menhir Hills.

PlayStation version
In this version of the game, the Cave of Bad Dreams is not a sub level, but a true level that follows the Menhir Hills. This means that Rayman will not need to travel back to the Marshes of Awakening to find the cave's entrance.

Phase 1
While there is still a backbone, it has been split to different platforms to run and jump across. Much of this part of the phase remains the same, but instead of the moving double wall, there are three Purple Lums to use to get to the top of chasm in which the Mini Janos roam. There are only two of these, but they have a much stronger resistance than those in the original version.

Phase 2
In this version of the game, Phase 2 begins at the two pedestals and the one eyed monster carving on the wall. Much of this area stays the same as that in the original version, except for the appearance of bouncing eyes - previously seen at the entrance of the Cave in the Marshes of Awakening - in the gold passage.

Phase 3
In this phase, Rayman is chased by Jano down the green crystal slide, which remains the same as that in the original version.

Phase 4
The confrontation with Jano begins, where he will use the same techniques - breathing fire and generating skulls - as before. The only differences here is that some pillars will fall when Rayman steps on them. At the end, he will automatically refuse the treasure, which convinces Jano to give him the Elixir of Life.

}}

PlayStation 2 version
In this version of the game, the Cave of Bad Dreams is located at the end of the Marshes of Awakening, which should only be visited once Clarks tells Rayman the name of the Cave. Apart from graphical enhancements, much of this level remains the same as before, though there are no Yellow Lums to collect. There is also an extra ledge in the chasm with the first gold pedestal, on which more of the Mini Janos roam. Defeating these does not reveal anything.

Unlike the previous versions, in which the Cave can be revisited, it can only be visited once, and Jano will not be at the end of the Marshes to take Rayman back in again because there are no Yellow Lums.

Ninja Pirates are a type of Robo-Pirate that appear in Rayman 2 and all of its remakes. Ninja Pirates are also known as Ninja Henchmen.

Ninja Pirates appeared as a mini-boss two times in the original version of Rayman 2, one in the Precipice and another in the Prison Ship. They use a flame-thrower or the purple Robo-Pirate bullets. They are more dangerous and clever than all the other Robo-Pirates and strike like phantoms, making each one a master of stealth who can't be seen with the naked eye until they are right in front of (or behind) Rayman.

In Rayman 2: Revolution they are referred as the Generator Guardians of the two generators of the Pirate Factory and have unlimited heath. They fire the same bullets as the Green Robo-Pirates, but they are more accurate and faster. These pirates wear a red bandanna, have a black torso, have a cylinder for a head, a white eye and an eye patch.

In the PlayStation version, they appeared four times as mini-bosses in the Precipice, the Tomb of the Ancients, and Gloomy Island. Rayman also fights their leader, Ninjaws, in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire.

The interesting thing in their appearance is that their hands have textures of tighted fists, although they have hook in right hand, growing up from the fingers, and they can shoot with the flames from their left hands, like normal henchmens - although it looks like they're shooting from their fingers.
Trivia
In Rayman Revolution, two Ninja Henchmen can be seen standing on either side of Razorbeard's chair in the Prison Ship cutscenes. However, after destroying the generators, these Ninjas are absent in the next cutscene, even though they aren't necessarily defeated during the battle.
They have been such poor constructors when building their buildings that they may have forgotten how to break them. There are two types of sparadrap - the wooden type, which is less common and can easily be broken by Rayman's shots; and the metal type, which can only be destroyed by throwing kegs at them.

The name 'sparadrap' is the French word for 'plaster', since they resemble plasters and similar bandages.
In Rayman DS, Sparadraps are known as Blockades.
"Rayman 4" was the tentative title for a Rayman game, announced by Ubisoft on the 3rd of May, 2006. Under development from Ubisoft Montpellier, the game was to be a free-roaming action/platforming game; the player was to take control of Rayman as he battled against an invading army of Rabbids. These enemies were, according to series creator Michel Ancel, "vicious, but at the same time [...] totally stupid".

The game was announced for Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, the PC and the Nintendo Wii, which was then codenamed the "Revolution". Upon receiving Wii development kits from Nintendo, the developers began to experiment with a wide variety of gameplay styles: ultimately, the game's action/platforming elements were removed and replaced with minigames. The final game, Rayman Raving Rabbids, was almost unrecognisable from the original "Rayman 4" concept.

Press release
What follows is Ubisoft's official press release on the game:

Rayman Raving Rabbids marks the return of Rayman, in his funniest and zaniest adventure ever. When his world is threatened by a devastating invasion of crazed, out-of-control bunnies, Rayman must rise up against these furry foes and foil their wicked plans. Using an array of amazing new abilities, and with the help of magical creatures, Rayman will need to break out all his best moves to save his world from these delirious bunnies and their hare-raising antics. “It’s a real pleasure for me to be back working on an all-new Rayman,” said Michel Ancel. “After wrapping up my last game, the team here in Montpellier sat down to talk about having some fun with Rayman and his universe. We are running into a bit of a problem, though, because our game has been invaded by thousands of raving mad and vicious bunnies, who have apparently been preparing this assault since the very first Rayman game. We are now sending an SOS to all motivated gamers to help us get rid of them as fast as possible!” Here are a list of features you'll find in the new game!

* Combat the Ultra-Crazed Evil Rabbits – Take control of Rayman and his knack for attack to help save his world from the raving rabbids. They are mischievous, insane and completely out of control. There are several types of rabbids each with its own mischievous characteristics.
* Master and Ride Creatures – Tame and control various creatures such as sharks, eagles, rhinos, spiders and angelfish. Rayman can master each animal’s unique capabilities to help in his battle against the devious rabbits.
* Dress to Impress – Customize and disguise Rayman. Go punk, pop, rock or hip hop to infiltrate the bunnies and foil their devious plans.
* Explore the Colorful Fantastic World of Rayman – Explore amazing free-roaming environments and beautiful epic landscapes that mix real and fantastical styles to create a visually stunning experience.
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (DS) is a spin-off game released for the Nintendo DS. As part of the spin-off Rayman Raving Rabbids handheld series, it was preceded by Rayman Raving Rabbids (DS), and succeeded by Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party (DS).

Plot
After invading Rayman's world, the insane Rabbids have a new objective: THE INVASION OF PLANET EARTH! The Rabbids are determined to study human behavior and mimic everything that humans do. As part of their training, they must carry out missions around the globe in order for world domination. Rayman must follow the Rabbids and tell the world about what they have learned from humans.

After collecting enough information, Rayman tells the Humans about the Rabbids, getting the humans prepared for any future Rabbid attacks.

Characters
Rayman: Rayman is barely focused on in this game, his only appearances being in the cutscenes and after you play a minigame. His mission is to take pictures of the Rabbids and get enough information about them to tell the humans.

Rabbids: The Rabbids are the main characters in this game. They are travelling all over the world to study human behavior and mimic it so they can learn enough to take over the world.

Your Rabbid: This is the Rabbid you play as. Rayman follows this certain Rabbid around the world to take pictures of him and show the humans. In Bunny Mode, you can draw on this Rabbid, dress him up, give him an environment to live in and make him interact with objects.

Gameplay
There are four modes: Adventure Mode, Score Mode, Bunny Mode, and Multi Mode.

In Adventure Mode you must choose an area (USA, Latina, Europe, Asia, Japan and Oceania) and complete all the minigames in it (the minigames are changed to be easier in Adventure Mode). Not only must you do that, but you must also get enough points (information) to finish that area. This means you have to replay minigames in that area over and over again until you earn enough points. If you win a minigame, you get 15 points. If you do completely terrible, you get two. if you somewhere in between, you get around 8 points. When you finish a minigame in Adventure Mode, you earn an item in Bunny Mode.

In Score Mode, you have to beat all the developer scores to get all the trophies. The areas are the same, except the minigames have been changed a little to become harder. When you beat a developer score on a minigame, you earn an item in Bunny Mode.

In Bunny Mode, you can draw on your Bunny, dress him up and give him a weapon, draw him a home or make him interact with items (Boxing Gloves, a Recording Microphone, a Tickling Feather or a Drum Kit).

Lastly is Multi Mode, where you can play with up to four friends. You can do this with multi-cards or a single-card download. If you play single-card multiplayer, you can only play three minigames. In multi-card, only 11 minigames are available for multiplayer. All of these are available in 2-player, but not all of them for three or four-player.

The most notable minigames are the music ones, which have appeared in the Wii verions of Rayman Raving Rabbids and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2. They are a little different in this game, though. They are mostly similar to Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for the Wii, in which symbols will come down from the top of the screen and you have to hit them when they get to the templates. Except in this game, there are four templates and instead of Wii Remote and Nunchuck symbols, you have circles instead, which you must touch when they get to the templates (which are boomboxes). The 'red is bad, yellow is good and green is perfect' rule is here, except you get points for yellow and twice as many for green. Also at times a circle with an arrow pointing upwards appears. When you touch it, it will float back up to the top of the screen, and you must keep the stylus on it to get the maximum amounts of points.
They are notable for being near-invincible. They also make a cameo appearance on a production line in the Electric Final race course in Rayman M.

Description
In many ways, Ape Pirates seem like a typical first-mate pirate, comparable in apparel to Mr. Smee from Disney's Peter Pan. Ape Pirates are brainless and exist only to clobber intruders in their territory. They are short, stubby, and carry a hunchback. They are seen wearing a blue and white stripey shirt. They walk on all fours like a gorilla.

Battle Strategy
Ape Pirates attack in only one way: they charge, run over their foe, and run away. Unfortunately for them, their lack of intelligence does not stop them where their foe jumps, and so if somebody such as Rayman jumps right next to a cliff, the Ape Pirate is sure to fall a great distance and explode.

Another way to handle an Ape Pirate is by lobbing a Plum at one's head, in a similar manner to Livingstones from the first Rayman game.

Rabbids are rabbit-like creatures that appear in the Rayman universe. The name is a portmanteau of 'rabid' and 'rabbit', though in the games, they are often referred to as Bunnies. They primarily appear in a spin-off series known as Rayman Raving Rabbids.
They are seen as 'anti-mascots' to Ubisoft.

History
The Rabbids were first introduced in a series of teaser images and videos for Rayman Raving Rabbids (then meant to be the next major platforming adventure in the Rayman series) officially released by Ubisoft in April 2006, in which they were portrayed as zombie-like enemies that were set to take over the world, akin to the Robo-Pirate Army and Hoodlums. By the time the final game was released in December that year, it turned out to be a compilation of mini-games akin to the Mario Party series due to the game being a Wii release game, and while the Rabbids were still portrayed as crazed animals that tried to take over the world, their main purpose now was to provide comic relief. Three more games in this series were subsequently announced - Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 in 2007, Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party in 2008, and the upcoming Rabbids Go Home in 2009.

Biology
Origin
In the main series, not much is known about where the Rabbids had originally come from, in fact, not even they know, as Rabbids Go Home suggests. However, at an early point in the Gameboy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, Ly the Fairy explains that the Rabbids were once peaceful creatures in Rayman's world that had gradually been bullied by other creatures, therefore going bad and taking their pain out on the entire world. The back cover of the main game also suggests that the Rabbids used to be peaceful but had turned bad, though the game doesn't explain how.

Appearance
Usually, Rabbids resemble albino rabbits in the sense that they have white fur and hairless bellies, mouths and the insides of their ears, though a few others can come in different colours such as grey, brown and even blue, yellow, red and green. Either way, they all have dark blue eyes which turn red when they turn mad, and they also have two giant buckteeth. Most of them are nearly as tall as Rayman is, their long ears included, though some others can be bigger or smaller; another few can look completely different from the others altogether, such as Serguei.

While most Rabbids tend to go naked, some like to dress up in costumes to tell themselves apart, such as Superbunnies and the Sam Fisher (from Splinter Cell) Rabbids. Notably in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, costumes, mostly based on geographical stereotypes and film characters, can be unlocked and worn when playing the game as them.

Behaviour
Most of the time, the Rabbids are portrayed as moronic and easily amused. While they often see Rayman as their enemy, they tend to attack each other as well. They are also very gullible and often get tricked into getting abused (for example, in Bunnies Like Surprises), though often they try to trick Rayman themselves, as well as abuse other animals, namely pigs, sheep, cows and Baby Globoxes - they also abuse humans in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Rabbids Go Home. They also don't understand how many of the objects they encounter work and often behave very immaturely (for example, burping, throwing things at others, and babbling loudly when asked to keep quiet). One of the Rabbids' favourite passtimes is dancing, and many can barely resist the sound of music - namely in Rayman Raving Rabbids, turning on a radio in the Bunny Hunts will distract some of them to Rayman's advantage.

They also share some traits of real rabbits, such as eating carrots and burrowing.

Speech
Typically, the Rabbids do not speak anything decipherable at all, and mostly communicate by screaming at the top of their voices. However, a few may have learned to "sing" in English, as throughout the games (Rabbids Go Home may be an exception), they dance to songs that have been vocally pitched to sound as if they sung them. The novelty single Making Fun (Of Everyday Life) also suggests this.

Diet
While Rabbids tend to enjoy carrots, a stereotypical trait among fictional rabbits, they are also known to practically eat anything, including things that are not food, such as sardine cans. Carrot juice however seems to have a sedating effect on them, as the minigame Bunnies Are Addicted To Carrot Juice seems to suggest.

Videogame Appearances
Rayman Raving Rabbids
In Rayman Raving Rabbids, the Rabbids suddenly start capturing the Baby Globoxes that accompany Rayman during a picnic one day, and then ambush him and take him away to their Colosseum, where they force him to perform several daily trials for their entertainment. At the end of each successful day, they reward Rayman with a plunger, which he uses to help himself escape.

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
In Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, the Rabbids now have a new target - Planet Earth. They spend a lot of time trying to study human traits, until their base - a shopping mall - is infiltrated by Rayman who chooses to behave the same way as them when they grow suspicious on his makeshift Rabbid costume. Oddly enough, they grow accustomed to his presence, despite not actually wearing the costume after the introduction scene.

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party
In Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, the Rabbids continue to focus on harassing Rayman, forcing him to take refuge in a cabin. A bolt of lightning strikes them outside, and transfers them into the television set inside. Unsure about how to get out, they use it to constantly annoy not only Rayman but also some neighbouring animals.

Rabbids Go Home
Still on Planet Earth, the Rabbids no longer wish to harass Rayman in Rabbids Go Home, and as the title suggests, they want to go home, but they don't know where they actually come from. They become attracted to the moon, and therefore make an attempt to reach it by collecting piles upon piles of human things with a shopping trolley.

Merchandise
Several Raving Rabbids products have been made and sold in the past three years, and include the following.
* A set of 4 figurines, consisting of a normal Rabbid, a screaming one, one dressed as Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell, and one dressed as Altair from Assassin's Creed.
* Another set of figurines were available at least in the United Kingdom, where they were given as free gifts for every purchase of Rayman Raving Rabbids for the Wii. [http://raygirl.deviantart.com/art/fangirlyness-overload-61603762 ]
* In Spain, a collection of 30 small Rabbids figurines are available, and each Rabbid follows a certain geographical stereotype.
* In France and Germany, a CD single was released in 2007 to coincide with the release of Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, called Making Fun (Of Everyday Life).
* Several plush dolls, phone straps and the like can be found on auction sites such as eBay, mainly originating from Australia and Hong Kong, but whether or not they are official is currently unknown.
* An official Ubi Art bag
* In Germany, a calender for 2010 is available courtesy of Panini.
* Other official merchandise, such as T-shirts, was given as prizes in Ubisoft competitions.

Cameos
* A picture of a Rabbid can be seen on a purchasable cot as a cameo in the Nintendo DS game Imagine: Babies, which was developed by Visual Impact Productions, the developing studio behind the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids. The game was also published by Ubisoft.
* Three Rabbids - two of which dress as a ninja and Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell - will be playable characters in the upcoming Ubisoft title, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up!.
* In the Ubisoft title, Academy of Champions, not only will one Rabbid appear in the Ubisoft team, there will also be a team consisting entirely of Rabbids. One Rabbid also runs the Item Shop.
Ninjaws is a Ninja Pirate who appeared in the PlayStation version of Rayman 2 as the boss of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire.

While Ninjaws looks identical to the other Ninja Henchmen, he seems to be their leader. Ninjaws also seems to be Razorbeard's favourite servant. At one point in the PlayStation version of Rayman 2, Ninjaws reported to Admiral Razorbeard in his cabin that he had captured more than 5000 slaves. Razorbeard ordered Ninjaws and his Ninja Pirates to kill Rayman. Ninjaws later managed to track down Rayman at the end of the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, where the two battled for the Second Mask. Rayman defeats him, as he has a heavy hook as one of his hands which can get caught in the ground if he misses hitting Rayman with it. Ninjaws has the abbility to teleport to areas.

Globox is a major character in the Rayman series, who makes his début in Rayman 2: The Great Escape, followed with major roles in Rayman M, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc and many handheld games. He is Rayman's best friend and has been since before the game even began, though how they exactly came to meet is currently unknown.

Character description
Appearance
Globox resembles a large, fat amphibian, and is blue-green in colour with a pale yellow belly and hands. While the rest of his body is fat and heavy, he has long thin arms, webbed feet and small eyes, which isn't shown to be attached to his body untill Rayman 3. He is noticeably taller than most of the people of the Glade, with the exception of Ly the Fairy and Clark the Giant, and he has a extremely large mouth, which he often is seen to store things such as Silver Lums, as can his children proved by Rayman being given the Rain Mask in Rayman Revolution.

Abilities
Physically, Globox is quite strong, and provided that he has the confidence to (under the influence of plum juice in Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge), he can inflict a strong blow on enemies, namely Hoodlums. Unfortunately, he is allergic to plum juice, and when André was inside his stomach, he would force Globox to drink some and then suffer from its effects, which includes getting drunk and burping out giant, bouncy bubbles. At an early point in Rayman 3, he realises that he can swim, but he doesn't realise that he has enough energy to swim upwards on an entire waterfall, although it was when he was under the influence of Plum Juice, which has also given him an ability to fly, or float, into the air, allowing him to avoid such terrains in Rayman 3 that would prove difficult. This was most likely to have been inspired by this hoovering technique in Rayman M. All versions of Rayman M suggest that he can run as fast as the others, despite his weight, but elsewhere he tends to walk slowly in a nervous state.

Globox has the power to form rainclouds, albeit small ones that draw enough rain to grow a plant quickly, put out fires and to rust a Robo-Pirate as self defence. Most other species would have to use a Rain Mask, which one of his children gives to Rayman at a later point in Rayman Revolution.

Personality
Globox is generally a warm and friendly character and a proud father of more than 650 children, though simple and very shy. Having been captured at least once in Rayman 2, he has grown an irrational fear of the Robo-Pirates, and often when he senses that they are near, he will run away and hide (notable in the Canopy), until he is sure that Rayman had destroyed them all. Similarly, he displays this fear in Rayman 3, this time of the Hoodlums and their attacks, unless he's under the influence of plum juice.

In Rayman 2, Globox spoke in broken English in a deep voice, but by the time Rayman 3 set in, his voice had become much higher, and spoke in much better English.

Biography
Globox and his family were created by Polokus as part of the non-magical People, as a result of the spirit's sense of humour. He was originally called "Globber", a name that he has now passed down to one of his children in order to rename himself. Together with his mate, Uglette, he is the proud father of 650 small children at the last count. In Rayman Revolution, it was revealed that he and his family live in a tree house near the Canopy, though in the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2, they live in a secret location hidden in the Woods of Light, called the Globox Village.

Videogame appearances
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Globox's story begins even before the game starts, where he is by Rayman's side among an ambush in the Great Forest. There, he doesn't put up much of a fight, but he helps by rusting up a few Pirates with his Rain Dance. Rayman praises his efforts, but gets distracted by Ly's telepathy, and gets captured, leaving Globox with no choice but to be sent by his limbless friend to find Ly in person and ask for further instructions. Ly gives him a Silver Lum, and then gets captured himself.

On the Buccaneer, Globox is thrown into the same cell as Rayman, and give him the Silver Lum, which allows him to shoot with his fist. Rayman tries it on a metal grate covering an air vent, and together, he and Globox goes down the chute. However, Globox knocks Rayman off the edge, and they become separated. From this point until he meets Sssssam in the Marshes of Awakening, who tells him that Globox has been taken beyond the Marshes, the limbless hero doesn't know where his amphibious friend had got to.

Later on, Globox is discovered and is held prisoner in the Canopy, and once Rayman frees him, he joins him throughout the level, putting his Rain Dance into good use again by growing plants, putting out fires and short-circuiting electric bars. However, upon the sight of a warship, Globox runs back the way they came into a cave. Rayman goes back to reassure his friend that there's nothing to be scared of, and then, Globox remembers to give him a Silver Lum which upgrades the power of his Magic Fist. At the end of the level, Globox insists that he'll find his own way home, so he lets his limbless friend leave to carry on with his journey.

Unfortunately, Globox gets captured again at the near end of the game, this time used as live bait to lure Rayman to the Crow's Nest. When he gets here, Razorbeard shoots him, but misses and hits the pole that hangs Globox upside down, but he insists that Rayman should carry on fighting the Grolgoth rather than saving him. It is unknown how he got down after the Crow's Nest fell apart, but whatever happens, he ends up back on the ground safely by the time he and his friends mourn their hero after the Buccaneer explodes, until Rayman turns up alive.

Rayman 2: Revolution
Though Globox's primary roles in Revolution were similar to those in Rayman 2, a few new elements were added. In Revolution, Globox does not grant Rayman the ability to shoot his Magic Fist, but instead simply allows Rayman to punch. Globox's house, children, and relation with Uglette are depicted in a larger scale; one of his daughters is an important character later in the game, Uglette is constantly seen worrying about Globox, and his cliffside house's acres of land are the setting for one half of the second part of the game. Globox joins Rayman on a few occasions in a fashion similar to Clark or Globox's role in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. Globox must be taken past Whale Bay to use his Rain Dance so as to enable entry to the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire.

Rayman M/Rayman Rush
In Rayman M and Rayman Rush, Globox is one of the initially available characters.

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc
Globox remains physically similar to his original appearance, though had become a comedic sidekick for this next appearance. Globox plays a major plot role, having swallowed André accidentally and having to find a doctor who would find a solution to remove André from Globox during the first half of the game. During this time, Globox is forced to drink plum juice, despite allergies, and during a somewhat drunken state he gains special abilities for short periods of time that are needed to progress Rayman through the game or move Globox forward through the level (by floating). Through the second half he plays a lesser role, though tends to follow Rayman on their journey, ocasionally bringing up the odd surprise. He is notably voice acted by actor John Leguizamo.

Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge
In Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge, Globox follows Rayman through much of the game, similar to Rayman 3. Globox is also a playable character in some levels. Often times there will be a puzzle-like sequence of events that requires the player to use both Rayman and Globox to move forward in the level. As Andre has been consumed once more, Globox can use the effects of plum juice to do certain things to move on in the stage, such as breaking metal bars.

Trivia
*Globox is said to belong to a species called glutes, however it has not been officially confirmed.
*Although not seen in the game, he has a default score of 12000 in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2.
*Globox was going to make an appearance in Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, as a character Rayman was going to rescue from the Rabbids, but this idea was scrapped.

A Shell is a highly-explosive, rocket-shaped, animalistic robot in Rayman 2: The Great Escape and its remakes. They were built by the Pirates, and are used by them to guard passages. They chase Rayman if he comes within their line of sight. If Rayman manages to avoid touching them for long enough as they chase him, they become tamed, and Rayman can jump on their backs and ride them. This can be done easily if they are sleeping, in which case it is unnecessary to tame them. If they hit Rayman, or any other object or creature, they will explode, which can cause the player some health loss.
There are three makes of shell: the Flying shells, the Walking shells, and the red Walking Shells.

Rayman first come across the Walking shells in the Menhir Hills, red Walking Shells in the Precipice, and Flying shells in the Prison Ship.

Walking Shells are also found in the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3, in the level Prickly Passage in the world Haunted Dreams. Red Walking Shells are also found in this game; they are untameable, and fly towards Rayman when he gets too close, which is not unlike their behaviour in Rayman 2.

Shells are useful sources of transport, as they can take the player over unsuitable terrain, such as lava or prickily areas. Flying shells are unable touch lava, however, and Walking Shells are unable to go on water.

* Flying shell
* Walking shell
* Red Walking Shell

Appearance
The shells are recognised by their horse sound effects, two black legs and shoes (however, in the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3 and in some Rayman 2 artwork, they are seen with silver legs with yellow knees and shoes) and a rocket shaped body, with a Pirate head pattern on one side. They come in yellow, but the Flying shells are grey.

Shells are of a friendly disposition, but they are programmed as guards and will attack if Rayman is he is in range.
He is a tall green reptile (with a similar appearance to the Grub race from the animated series) that lives in a mansion in the Bog of Murk. Dressed in a red and gold outfit, he sports a shotgun which shoots arrows at any intruders that dare to enter his mansion. He is a hunter, and throughout the mansion there are statues of all of the animals he has hunted. He has several statues of Sssssam in his mansion; whether Razoff has killed him or not remains to be seen.

Biography
Count Razoff is the son of Count Zaroff, and the grandson of Nimrod and Artemis. He claims to hold the chair of Cynegenics at the University of Tyr-Kainkou.
Count Razoff's Mansion
Razoff's mansion is located in the Bog of Murk. It is very large and classical mansion with many statues inside(including a statue of Sssssam). There are also several creatures to be found chained-up in his mansion; if Rayman frees these creatures they give him Red Lums before flying away.

Begoniax - A witch who is infatuated with Razoff for unexplained reasons.

Globox - Razoff once tried to kill Globox, who ended up in the mansion by mistake, after the Teensie Highway was broken.

Rayman - Razoff tried to kill Rayman after he came into Razoff's mansion attempting to save Globox. He intended to kill Rayman in order to perpetuate his family's hunting tradition.

The Hoodlums - The Hoodlums are Razoff's enemies too. When Globox ended up in the mansion, André ended there too, which means that Razoff indirectly held André captured, which is why the Hoodlums were trying to get him back. In the Rayman 3 minigame, Commando, the player controls Razoff as he fends off trespassing Hoodlums. In another minigame, Razoff Circus, the player controls Razoff from a first-person perspective as he shoots targets bearing pictures of enemies such as Rayman, Globox, and the Hoodlums.
I'm from Scotland in the United Kingdom, I'm 15 and I don't know how long I've been a Rayman fan but I did fall in love with the first game back in the 90's as it was bundled with the PS1 we bought. One game I owned that isn't in the list below was of a Rayman Rush demo I got for free in McDonalds- why must things always get lost/broken etc. when you're a child??
The Blue Mountains is the third world in the game Rayman. It consists of a mountain range that Rayman has to climb, facing chasms and abrupt slopes as he makes progress towards the highest peaks. The meteorological conditions are significantly hard, with frequent floods and snow tempests. Rayman must be careful not to fall from the heights of those cliffs, and he must also avoid the spiked grounds, the flying stakes and the giant prickly balls. In the Rayman Junior games, stone carvings of Rayman and Mr Stone can also be found in those inhospitable rocky labyrinths. A few giant flowers, bracket fungi growing off logs and gnarled trees show the scarcity of the vegetation up there, while the numerous lava balls seem to indicate the presence of volcanic activity. Thanks to the Musician's Super Helicopter potion, Rayman can fly temporarily through the narrow and spiky crevasses.

The enemies in the Blue Mountains include antitoons, hunters, stone men, stone dogs and stakes. The boss is Mr Stone, a giant stone man. Rayman will meet him first in Twilight Gulch during a frantic chase, and eventually fight him in Mr Stone's Peaks.

During his trek in the Blue Mountains, Rayman will receive the power of running from Betilla the Fairy, at the end of Mr Stone's Peaks.
The Hoodblaster will think up creative and odd ways to beat up the animal.

References
*In one of the lessons, the hoodblaster puts on a suit and bow tie and uses a built in laser in his watch to zap the animal. This is in reference to the James Bond series or Men in Black.
*In another lesson, the hoodblaster puts on a black robe, a wizards hat and a wand to turn the animal into different things. This is a reference to the Harry Potter films.
The resistance of an enemy is a parameter that is representative of the damage they can sustain before they are defeated.

In Rayman
In Rayman, this parameter is similar to the number of standard punches (without power-ups, full frontal and targeting the gravity centre) needed to defeat the enemy. It is obtained from the EVE.MLT files in Rayman Designer :
This is the example of a Hunter, and its resistance is 3.

For the rare enemies that are not present in Rayman Designer, the resistance is estimated from the number of standard punches needed to defeat them.

And at last, as concerns bosses, their resistance is obviously their number of health points, which corresponds to the previous definitions.
In Rayman 2
In Rayman 2, the resistance is defined as the number of standard energy balls needed to defeat the enemy, or its equivalent if other means are employed.

While a standard energy ball inflicts 1 hit point (3 with a Power Fist), a charged energy ball can inflict from 1 to 3 hit points depending on the charging time (respectively 3 to 6 hit points with a Power Fist).
