About Me
I joined Rayman Pirate Community in August 2021 soon before one of their record days. I made over 700 posts on there. I've made some pretty bad signatures if you ask me. I am not that good at this RayWiki stuff but sometimes make adjustments that often need to be fixed after I make them.

The first Rayman game I played to my knowledge was Rayman Raving Rabbids. I only played a little and got some help but didn't really think much of Rayman. One day a few years later, I played Rayman 10th Anniversary (GBA). I still have yet to beat both of those games but currently (at least) don't have a working DS available to use. I think those must have been the first games I played when I was getting into Rayman. I remember playing some of Rayman Raving Rabbids and getting into the Rayman Legends challenges (and game I guess) when I first got into Rayman. I know I liked the character. Over time, I played more of the games and became a huge fan of the series and character.

I have beaten:
Rayman Raving Rabbids (Wii version)
Rayman (Game Boy Color) ~ usedsave states
Rayman 2 (Dreamcast version, PS1 ~ at least did most of the beaten game)
Rayman 3 (PS2 version)

Tonic Trouble is a video game developed by Ubi Soft Montréal, initially to test the 3D engine used by Rayman 2. It is notable for featuring limbless characters akin to the earlier Rayman games although it is actually set on Earth; in fact, one of these characters makes a cameo appearance at a very late point in Rayman 2, and Rayman makes a cameo in Tonic Troubles end credits. It was released for the Nintendo 64, PC and Game Boy Color (only in Europe) in 1999.

Plot
The game follows the story of Ed, a small and clumsy member of a purple limbless alien species, who works as a janitor during a voyage through space, on a craft called The Albatross. Ed is voiced by David Gasman, who also voices Rayman in Rayman 2, Rayman M and Rayman 3. During one shift, Ed comes across a strange can and drinks its contents. He doesn't like the taste, and spits the fluid out, causing any object it came to contact with to come to life, forcing him to throw it down a chute which sends it falling to Earth. The fluid's effects on the Earth's environment cause chaos, and the can falls into the hands of a Viking called Grogh, who becomes more powerful upon drinking from it.

Ed faces a trial in court, and as punishment for his carelessness, he is sent to Earth to clean up the mess. During his journey there, his own spaceship malfunctions and ends up crashing into a snowy mountainous area on Earth, which is now roaming with mutant killer vegetables and balloon sheep. Eventually he meets a doctor and his daughter, Suzy, who offer to help him by giving him weapons and powers in exchange for small things such as springs and propellers used by the Doc to build a machine.

Gameplay
The game sticks very closely to the formula found in the first Rayman game. Much like in the original Rayman game, Ed starts off defenseless and acquires new weapons and powerups throughout the game. Also, each stage includes 6 objects that Ed must collect in order to properly complete it. The main difference between the two games is that Tonic Trouble is in 3D, and some stages in the game focus more on puzzle solving than platforming. In addition to the 6 objects in each stage, Ed must also collect 120 antidotes hidden throughout the levels and Southern Plains hub map in order to access the Magic Mushrooms Lair late in the game (akin to needing all of the Electoons to enter Candy Château in the original Rayman game).
Soundtrack
The music in Tonic Trouble was composed by Éric Chevalier who also composed the soundtrack for Rayman 2. The soundtrack is very eclectic and experimental in nature. In one portion of the game bagpipes, a rhythm guitar, a beat boxer and a synthesizer can be heard at the same time. The music was intended to be interactive and would change depending on the mood Ed was feeling in each room, but in the final version of the PC game each track is a long suite of sorts.

Ed also has his own short jingle "theme" that can be heard in some of the tracks that sounds almost like the inverse of Rayman's theme from Rayman 2.

Beta version
Early in 1999, a beta version of Tonic Trouble called "Tonic Trouble Special Edition" was released with some computers. The game is very different to its final counterparts on the PC and Nintendo 64, featuring different level designs and, in some cases, music. Ed controls very differently and feels heavier due to a less-precise jump and tank-like controls. Unlike in the final PC version, there are no subtitles, and some characters have different voice actors. The beta version also has different names for some of the stages, and features a world map that can be brought up to check the player's progress on the collectibles in each stage.

Beta-exclusive enemies
Trigger Happy Henchman
This henchman is the first one that the player will find in the Canyon. He will repeatedly spray a shower of bullets in Ed's direction, and occasionally take a short break from firing. Takes three hits from the stick or one hit from the blowdart pipe to be defeated.
Flamethrower Henchman
This henchman can be found in the Canyon guarding a full health powerup. While flying with his propeller hat he does not try to harm Ed, but when he lands he will fire a long stream of fire in Ed's general direction. Takes three hits from the stick or one hit from the blowdart pipe to be defeated.
Mushroom Caps
The UFO-like mushroom caps hover over long stretches of lava in the Canyon. If they spot Ed they will fly to wherever he was standing when spotted and explode. If Ed moves out of the way while a mushroom cap is flying towards him, he can avoid the cap's attack entirely. Mushroom Caps cannot be harmed.

The Grape
The Grape appears during the end credits of the beta version of Tonic Trouble. It can be seen rearranging itself into various shapes such as a tank or a cube. One of the Grape's grapes has a heart on it. It is currently unknown if this enemy actually shows up in a stage of the beta version.

Gameplay
This game is a memory game, in which a Rabbid stands with his brain protruding out of his head, which is divided into four coloured sections. Each section represents a symbol - an eye, a mouth, a sausage and a spiked club. These appear randomly in a certain order, and the player has to touch each corresponding part of the brain to complete the sequence correctly.

Bunnies Are Heartless With Pigs is a minigame in the console version of Rayman Raving Rabbids.

Gameplay
Part 1
Rayman has to grab hold of a piglet, and walk a short distance through a junkyard where the piglet's mother stands at the other side as quickly as possible. However, Rabbids armed with flamethrowers are hiding underground, and there are many obstacles they will have to move around, so the player has to listen to the piglet squeal if it thinks that they are close to a Rabbid. Should they come too close, the Rabbid will ambush them and burn them with the flamethrower, losing the game. If Rayman manages to reunite the piglet with the mother, the player wins.

Part 2
Gameplay is exactly the same, but the Rabbids start throwing firecrackers, confusing the piglet. The firecrackers last approximately three seconds and wandering into their path can often lead to a mission failure.

Trivia
*In both parts of the minigame a Rabbid can be seen in a restaurant called "Pizzapopo". Marcel Popo was the person who voiced all the Rabbids.

This Bunny Hunt is set in the Wild West, where Rayman must shoot as many Rabbids as possible with plungers, while they run around carrying the same weapon. At the start of the level an ominous cloud of smoke can be seen emanating from a humongous bipedal robot in the distance. A lot of cowboys stand in his path to the town, where a few more robots await him.

As Rayman enters the town, he sees three Rabbids in Native American maid outfits chasing away three uncaged Baby Globoxes. A smaller bipedal robot attacks, but can be destroyed by deflecting three of its missiles, while more cowboys and maids run about. After attacking the bigger robot with six of its missiles, three quadrupedal robots attack, and Rayman and the giant robot square off while seemingly infinite Rabbids with bludgeons tunnel out of the ground. After another three missiles have been shot back, the robot collapses and the Baby Globox flies out, unharmed.

Items
At the start of the level there's a green crate by one of the buildings that awards the player 1000 points if shot, to the left of the bell.

Bunnies Have A Soft Spot For Plungers is a minigame in the console version of Rayman Raving Rabbids. It is the first of nine Bunny Hunts that are encountered in the game, and is first played as a boss trial on Day 1 in Story mode. Typical of the boss trials, it cannot be accessed from the toilet once Rayman goes through the day, but can instead be accessed in Score mode through the Bunny Hunts section.

Structure
This Bunny Hunt is one of a few that is set in a town in a Western environment, where Rayman must shoot as many Rabbids as possible with plungers, while they run around carrying the same weapon. As Rayman walks through the town, he comes across a barn from which a small rocket is launched - he must shoot this back into the barn to break down the door, in order to prevent himself from losing health. Once he deals with another house nearby, he will turn around and take a few steps back where he came.

There is no boss at the end of this hunt, as the caged Baby Globox is instead hidden inside a wooden reservoir, at which four Rabbids are stick inside metal hoops, spinning around. Once these are disposed of, several coloured Rabbids will appear (the same as those in Bunnies Have Natural Rhythm), which will be temporarily stopped to dance should the player shoot at the green radio nearby. The game ends when all of these are shot, and the reservior will explode, releasing the Baby Globox.

Items
In this hunt, there are two health crates, a green power-up crate (this temporarily increases the number of plungers Rayman can shoot at a time to three) and a red power-down crate (this decreases the range the plungers can be shot, making them ineffective).

Score mode
In Score mode, the player has to score 30,000 points in order to achieve a perfect (1,000) score.
As Rayman passes through the beach, burrowing Rabbids, Rabbids in pirate costumes and ninja Rabbids on pogo sticks will mercilessly attack him as he investigates a powered-down bipedal robot the Rabbids have created. However, it is not powered down for long, as a large saucer will swoop down and fully charge it, prompting Rayman to attack it. After he has deflected three of its missiles it will explode in a heap, but yield no Baby Globox.

After an encounter with two quadrupedal robots, Rayman finds a small fishing village teeming with Rabbids and a large UFO carrying an imprisoned Baby Globox. A large group of Rabbids appears (but can be stopped by making them dance), defending a docked pirate galleon that shoots heat-seeking missiles at Rayman. Once Rayman deflects them back to hit the UFO, the Baby Globox is freed.
Bunnies Are A-Mazing is a minigame in the console version of Rayman Raving Rabbids.

Gameplay
In this game, the player has to pick up a Rabbid icon of their corresponding colour (in single playing modes this is always red) and drag it along a top-down maze within a certain time, without touching the walls. If the player touches a wall, the icon drops and it will take about a second for the player to pick it up again. There are three shortcuts in the maze that can help the player complete the game faster.

Score mode
In Score Mode, the game can be found in the Precision section of Sports. The player needs to complete the maze in 14 seconds or less in order to achieve a perfect (1000) score.

Rayman Legends (Wii U version)
Rayman 2 (Dreamcast version, PS1 ~ at least did most of the beaten game)
Rayman 3 (PS2 version)
and played more games that I have not beaten, yet.
Scissor Birds are scrapped bird enemies from Rayman Origins. Their official name is unknown. Scissor Birds have unique beaks, which are long and sharp, resembling scissors. Despite their absensce in the final version of the game, Scissor Birds appeared in the Daily Bubble, along with other scrapped characters such as Soldiers; they also made an appearance in several pages of the artbook The Art of Rayman Origins, fighting Rayman and his friends, and sleeping at the Snoring Tree with the Mocking Bird and other birds. In appearance, Scissor Birds have a long, crimson-coloured beak, with a purple tongue, and a dark-red pear-shaped body with a white spot on the belly; they also bear small wings, and much like Globox, they don't appear to have legs, but a pair of floating brown-coloured claws. They have four feathers on the head: two brown feathers, a yellow feather and a purple feather. Their original role in the game is unknown, as there are no screenshots or gameplay videos featuring them, but by their notable relation with the clan of birds, it is presumable that they were intended to be enemies from the Desert of Dijiridoos.
Here's a Way Back Machine archive of the announcements (Captured today): https://raymanpc.com/?start=260--arnoldfranklin (talk) 01:04, 27 October 2022 (CEST)
Should I cite the Way Back Machine because the April Fools 2022 and Christmas 2022 portal variants are screenshots of captures. I linked the captures on the image file pages themselves, but should they be cited on this page?--arnoldfranklin (talk) 16:58, 26 December 2022 (CET)

The Rayman Pirate-Community, commonly abbreviated to Pirate-Community or PC, has been the largest Rayman community since the first deletion of the RaymanZone forums on December 20, 2004. It was founded on August 8th 2003 by Hunchman801, an ex-moderator of the French and English sections of RaymanZone, shortly after he was unfairly banned. Pirate-Community can currently be found at raymanpc.com.

History
Pirate-Community was originally meant to be the fusion of four fan sites (RaymanBD, RaymanTCG, RaymanEncyclo, and MetalGearRayman), but soon became an influent and active internet portal, thanks to its forum, which purpose was to provide a fair and free place for Rayman fans, in opposition to the arbitrary bans occurring on RaymanZone. The first three fan sites were later merged into RayMind, while the last one was discontinued.

However, the three most important Pirate-Community websites are now RayTunes, founded on June 20, 2006 by Drolpiraat, RayWiki, founded on January 4, 2008 by Hunchman801, and RaySaves, founded on 21 April 2013 by RoboticTeensie. Even though Pirate-Community is still mostly visited for its forums, these websites have become references on the internet.

On February 25, 2009, a new Rayman 3 Hall of Fame was created on Pirate-Community, in order to replace the official one, which was long discontinued.

The community has also seen partnerships and affiliation with Rayman Fanpage, another unofficial Rayman fansite.

The community celebrated its tenth birthday on August 8, 2013, with a new theme for the board making its debut for the celebration. As of that date, there were over 797,000 posts in total.

In 2015, the community's 1,000,000th post was made, to celebrate, a new banner was put up, and Tings for the day were doubled.

The RaySaves facility was added to the Pirate-Community servers on February 8, 2014, it currently hosts save game files for the PC versions of Rayman and Rayman 3.
As of December 24, 2017, more than 1,222,864 messages have been posted on Pirate-Community.
RayWiki is a collaborative Rayman encyclopedia based on the MediaWiki software. It was founded on January 4, 2008 by Hunchman801, and it is one of the most important Pirate-Community websites, along with RayTunes. It is widely considered as the most complete source for Rayman knowledge.

The idea for RayWiki was initially posited in December 2007 by administrator Hunchman801 as a replacement to his RaymanEncyclo facility. The idea was met with encouragement, leading to a beta version of the wiki opening in January 2008, under the name WikiRayman, with individual English and French wikis. Content from the old RaymanEncyclo was brought in to the new wiki, in addition to new content written by Pirate-Community users, who were now able to contribute to a Rayman encyclopedic resource.

In February 2008, the name of the wiki was changed to RayWiki, after a vote was made in favour of the new title. The wiki continued to function as a beta until October 2008, where it was announced it was moving out of beta and into final release.

A German version of RayWiki was added on March 12, 2009, a Hungarian version on June 22, 2011, and an Italian version on June 3, 2014.

On August 13, 2014, the 2009-founded Rayman wiki in Polish language hosted on the Wikia platform was transferred to Pirate-Community and became the Polish version of RayWiki.

A Spanish version was then added on June 14, 2015.

On October 30, 2016, the wiki was updated along with the rest of Pirate-Community, and its appearance aligned with that of the forum.

A Russian version was then added on July 25, 2019.

As of August 2022, RayWiki contains more than 5,900 articles in eight languages. The French version is the most complete, with over 810,000 words, while the English version has the most articles with over 1,700.
About Me
I joined Rayman Pirate Community in August 2021 soon before one of their record days.

Rayman Legends (Wii U version)
Rayman 2 (Dreamcast version)
Rayman 3 (PS2 version)
and played more games that I have not beaten, yet.
Enjoy the wiki. :)

About Me
I joined Rayman Pirate Community in August 2021 soon before one of their record days. I made over 700 posts on there. I've made some pretty bad signatures if you ask me. I am not that good at this RayWiki stuff but sometimes make adjustments that likely need to be fixed.

The first Rayman game I played to my knowledge was Rayman Raving Rabbids. I only played a little and got some help but didn't really think much of Rayman. One day a few years later, I played Rayman 10th anniversary on GBA.

Rayman Legends (Wii U version)
Rayman 2 (Dreamcast version)
Rayman 3 (PS2 version)
and played more games that I have not beaten, yet.
