Shouldn't we get a new image of Big Mama? This one can be classified as a "beta" picture now. Are you sure that Ancel still voices Big Mama in the final version of the game? I have just edited this page, and the page on Nymphs to reflect information revealed in Rayman Jungle Run. The unlocked wallpapers specifically name Big Mama/her nymph form as "Fée de la Mort". '''Big Mama''' is a gigantic pink tentacled monster who acts as the optional final boss of ''[[Rayman Origins]]''. She is fought in [[Land of the Livid Dead (Rayman Origins)|the Land of the Livid Dead]], a hellish underworld and optional final level which can only be accessed by collecting all of the [[Skull Tooth|Skull Teeth]] in the game. Several editions of ''[[The Daily Bubble]]'' showed a middle-aged female [[glute]], known as '''[[Mamma Hité]]''' or '''Voodoo Mamma''', who bore a strong resemblance to Big Mama (and is still mentioned by the Bubble Dreamer); however, in the final version of the game, Big Mama turns into a [[nymph]] when she is defeated, and Voodoo Mama is never seen.

Big Mama was first revealed in the game's announcement trailer, where she is seen battling [[Rayman]] and [[Globox]] in the [[Mystical Pique]]s. Later artwork shows her tentacles descending from the clouds above the mountain, suggesting that the players would have to climb to reach her. However, in the final version of the game, the battle with Big Mama was relocated to [[Land of the Livid Dead (Rayman Origins)|the Land of the Livid Dead]]. When [[Rayman]], [[Globox]], and the two [[Teensie]]s enter Big Mama's lair, she is painting her nails while singing (her voice here is provided by Christoph Héral's aunt).

At one point it was stated that Big Mama's monstrous roars had been provided by series creator [[Michel Ancel]], but this may have changed during the development of the game, as she sounds distinctly feminine in the final version. It is not known which actress voices Big Mama's nymph form.

Beating Big Mama in ''[[Rayman Origins]]'' unlocks in the HD consoles (except PC) the hidden trophy/achievement [[Nothing Lasts Forever]].

The reward gallery in ''[[Rayman Jungle Run]]'' reveals that Big Mama's true name, at least in nymph form, is Fée de la Mort.
