The Kagoubinôme was a variety of Hoodlum which was initially planned to appear as an enemy in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, but was cut from the final version of the game. The Kagoubinôme was in fact composed of two completely different, but complementary, Hoodlums. One Hoodlum would have been small and thin, and the other Hoodlum would have been tall and fat. The Kagoubinôme couple could carry out two distinct attacks, playing on the size and shape of the Hoodlums who make up his two-person character. At long distance, the smaller of the two perches on the fatter one, who starts rolling around like a ball. The small one – looking like a circus tightrop walker – steers him along, attempting to crush Rayman. Later on, in close combat, the large Hoodlum would attack Rayman, using the small Hoodlum as a nunchuck.

Despite the character's original and attractive game design, the Kagoubinôme was discarded by the developers because his first attack required a lot of space in the level and the second proved very difficult to programme.

The name 'Kagoubinôme' would most likely have been changed to one containing the word 'Hood' before the game's release.
The Kagoubinôme is a characters who was scrapped from the final version of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

The Kagoubinôme, As his name suggests (binomial meaning two options), is in fact composed of two completeley different, but complementary, Hoodlums. One Hoodlum appeared very small and thin, the other Hoodlum appeared tall and very fat. The Kagoubinôme couple could carry out two distinct attacks, playing on the size and shape of the Hoodlum who make up his two-person character. To begin with, at long distance, the smalle of the two perches on the fatter one and the latter starts rolling around like a ball. The small on - looking like a circus tightrop walker - steers him along, trying to crush Rayman. Later on, in close combat, it's big Hoodlum who attacks Rayman, using the little Hoodlum as a nunchaku.

Despite the character's original and attractive game design, the Kagoubinôme was discarded by the developers because his first attack required a lot of space in the level and the second proved very difficult to programme.

*Note on the name: Many Hoodlum types have a name with the word "Hood" in it (for example: Hoodstomper, Hoodoo, Hoodboom, etc.), but in the development of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc all the different types Hoodlum had a name with the word "Kag"in it (for example: Kagustick, Kagalfa, Master Kaag). Therefore the Kagoubinôme's name would have been changed to something with "Hood" in it in the final version of the game.

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is the sequel to Rayman 2: The Great Escape. It was released starting with the Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Nokia N-GAGE, PC, and Mac. Rayman 3 for the digiBlast is exceptionally rare to find but is available. Its just basically just like the original Rayman 3. Rayman 3 was also ported for several mobile phones. Evidence of this can be found on www.rayman-fanpage.de.

Rayman 3 was 3D, with graphics similar to Rayman 2: Revolution. However, Rayman 3s levels were a series of "action stages" as opposed to having a single level per world (as were most of Rayman 2's). Also unlike Rayman 2 and especially Revolution, the levels strictly followed a "movie"-like plot; in other words, returning to a level meant returning to a point in the adventure (such as Rayman falling in Begoniax's outhouse) instead of returning to a location in the adventure. Rayman 3 also featured a scoring system, and players could post their final scores on the then-new RaymanZone website. This is still possible however, as the Pirate-Community now has its very own Hall of Fame .

Worlds
Similar to the gap between Rayman and Rayman 2, all locations in Rayman 3 were new and unconnected to previous games. However, they are still the same environments as Rayman's games tend to stick with: the mountains, forests, and swamps from Rayman, and the plains, coasts, and fortresses from Rayman 2. One area in particular, the Fairy Council, was alluded to in Rayman 2, and one of Count Razoff's ancestors (most likely his father) supposedly shot Space Mama; these allusions make Rayman 3s locations generally regarded as still being in the same canon as Rayman and especially Rayman 2.

Rayman 3s worlds in particular picked up on a lot of things Rayman 2 and Revolution lacked: unique environments. While the Iron Mountains and the Menhir Hills pretty much looked the same, Rayman 3 's worlds were vast and varied. Many elements from Revolution were included in Rayman 3 's worlds--the most evident of these are the ambient sounds (for example, the Desert of the Knaaren has the same ambiance as beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava) and the unique lighting. Rayman 3 also had many instances of stained glass windows, also a previous characteristic of the Lava Sanctuary.

Rayman 3 returned to the fairy tale-like theme of Rayman 's locations, though not as surreal. Many odd locales dot Rayman 3 's small collection of worlds, such as in the Fairy Council and the Longest Shortcut.

Finally, Rayman 3 included many allusions to its two predecessors, including a statue of Ly the Fairy (who is oddly absent from the Fairy Council), and an apparently "frozen" state of Admiral Razorbeard and his Robo-Pirate Army.

Plot
When André is frightened so much he turns into a Dark Lum, he transforms a lot of the other Red Lums into Dark Lums too. The Dark Lums steal the fur from other animals and use it to weave costumes for themselves, becoming 'Hoodlums'. When André, dressed up in a Hoodlum costume, starts heading towards Rayman, Globox and Murfy, the latter two desperately try to wake Rayman up. Globox eventually becomes so frightened he accidently pulls off Rayman's hand and runs off with them. Murfy picks up Rayman by the hair and flies off with him, waking him up. More Hoodlums try to shoot down Murfy and Rayman as they fly away, but they both escape. They then begin searching for Globox and Rayman's hands.

However, when, they find Globox and Rayman gets his hands back, André, along with two slapdashes, pursue the large toad. Rayman and Murfy go following him into the building of the Fairy Council. Rayman soon defeats André's Hoodlum costume, which drops a Laser-Washing-Detergeant Can behind, and André flees towards the Heart of the World, wanting to gain ower from there. After Rayman tries out the Laser-Washing Detergeant, called 'combat fatigues', he and Murfy pursure André to stop him from getting to his destination. They find Globox along the way, who accidentally swallows the Dark Lum Lord.

Score System
Rayman 3 was the second game to have a score system (after Rayman 2: Revolution), and the first for the score system to be in an arcade-style format. This score system allowed players to upload their scores onto RaymanZone's Lums Quest. The score system increased the replay value of Rayman 3. The scoring system followed this formula:<br>
#Collect a Jewel / Break a Piggy Bank / Break a door / Defeat a Hoodlum
#Points are added to Score
#Combo Mode starts
#During Combo Mode, step 1 brings double points to step 2
#Unless step 1 is carried out consistently, Combo Mode shortly ends

If Rayman is using a Laser-Washing Powder Can, each point is doubled, increasing the amount of points he can get and quadrupling the payoff of Combo Mode.

With the reformat of RaymanZone for Rayman Raving Rabbids, the Lums Quest ended.

Main characters
* Hoodlum Headquarters
* The Tower of the Leptys

Trivia
* The manual that Murfy has in the beginning of the game has a picture of Rayman's head from the original Rayman game on the cover, and on the back. On the inside of the manual shows a picture of the circle on Rayman's body.
* Throughout the game, there are sharp posts that you can stick plums on top of to gain access to higher areas. On these posts are pictures of a Livingstones from the original Rayman game.
* The Fairy Council and the Heart of the World were first mentioned in Rayman 2, and only now make an appearance in Rayman 3.
* Sometimes, when you start hitting Globox, he says "You were nicer in Rayman 2!".
* There are lots of secret rooms in the game, but three of them refer to Rayman 2. One, located in the Longest Shortcut, has a statue of Ly in it. Another, in the Hoodlum Headquarters, has statues of Razorbeard and some of his Robo-Pirates sitting at a table, in the style of 'The Last Supper' painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Also, in Razoff's mansion, one of the many different statues is of a snake which appears to be Sssssam the Snake from Rayman 2.
* At the beginning of the third part of the Fairy Council, when Rayman and Murfy are looking for André and Globox, Murfy tells Rayman to hurry or else "he'll start telling everyone he's your father!". This is a reference to the famous scene from the film, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, in which the villain, Darth Vader, reveals to the hero, Luke Skywalker, that he is his father.
* In the Fairy Council, when Rayman and Murfy pursue André, the Dark Lum Lord throws a Ludiv away from her home, saying Zelda needs her, before hiding in the Ludiv's home. Zelda is a major character from the popular video game series The Legend of Zelda.
* In the Bog of Murk, inside Razoff's house is a room with a large mirror. If Rayman is left in idle in front of it, he'll make a face at himself and notice he has something stuck in his teeth, pulling it out. Spiral doors from Rayman 2 have mainly been replaced with Mirrors.

Scaleman is an enemy character found only in the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3, and is the first of two bosses of Pirate Stronghold, the last of the game's four worlds. If punched when standing still, Scaleman temporarily shrinks and runs back and forth. Rayman hurts Scaleman by stomping on him while his is shrunk. When full-size, Scaleman attacks by rolling himself into a ball, then either rolling back and forth, bouncing back and forth, or taking large bounces at wherever Rayman is.

Scaleman was originally intended to be a Hoodlum named the Kagalpha, and was planned to be the boss Rayman would fight in the Hoodlum Headquarters in Rayman 3 (though his name would have been changed by the game's release, possibly to 'Scaleman', or some different name beginning with 'H' or 'Hood'). The initial idea for this enemy was the notion of a small, highly-strung person who turns into a big, dangerous character. He was supposed to be present throughout the factory level in the form of a small Hoodlum boss, yelling at his companions to attack Rayman. He himself was supposed to be able to throw crates at Rayman, who would then give chase to him. At the end of the level, the Kagalpha inhaled helium which blew him up to an immense size but gave him a tiny little voice. In this form, he tried to crush Rayman who had to deflate him little by little by hitting him with his fists. The Kagalpha was cut out from the final version of the game and but he remains largely intact in the Game Boy Advance adaptation of Rayman 3 as Scaleman.
After climbing to the top of the Summit Beyond the Clouds Rayman is forced to snowboard after his frozen friend Globox. When Rayman manages to pass him their weight combined manages to break the stone shelf they were standing on tumbling them into the HQ.

The HHQ is over seen by the game's major enemy André, who uses tricks and traps to capture Rayman's friend Globox. The actual environment is a hacked together never-seen vehicle which transports Rayman to the Leptys where by he can trick the King of the Knaaren into using the scepter to call for power via the gods.

André's machine, the Horrible Machine, is defeated and in a last ditch attempt to stop Rayman he opens up the flood gates holding back the lava effectively destroying his own ship and killing a proportion of his own army. Both André and Rayman (and many others Hoodlums) survive the suicide attempt.
Trivia
The Longest Shortcut is the world in Rayman 3 that acts as a portal to the the Summit Beyond the Clouds. Its strategic obstacles demonstrate what kind of a maze the Teensie beings have devised for passers. In this world, Rayman is faced with several challenging and confusing booby-traps, including invisible platforms, fake walls and illusional mirrors.

They wear red cloaks with a hole in the top of their heads and have explosive bottles strapped around their fronts. Rayman can either stand underneath them to lure bombs to destroy the stilts or use the Vortex power up to spin the stumbleboom off of his stilts where Rayman can then punch him. The first one is found in the Bog of Murk, like in the picture, and can be defeated with the Green-Washing Powder.
A Hoodboom is a type of Hoodlum which first appeared in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
Description
Hoodbooms are a similar shape to Hoodblasters, but feature bright red-and-yellow colouring and a distinctive head, from which a pillar of smoke occasionally billows. Rather than the crude blunderbusses used by their Hoodblaster brethren, Hoodbooms arm themselves with explosive Molotov Cocktails made from plum juice which they can throw over great distances, and always carry a large number of them on a strap around their torso.

Hoodbooms usually stand in high places where they can't be reached without the aid of the Shock Rocket. However, even grounded Hoodbooms are not easy pickings; Hoodbooms are tougher than Hoodblasters, and upon being hit get angry and throw a large number of cocktails at once, making it hard to avoid them.

Some Hoodbooms stand on stilts in order to avoid attacks, but are susceptible to being brought down by the Vortex Fist. These are known as Stumblebooms.

Personality
Hoodbooms are somewhat maniacal; they can often be seen laughing crazily and juggling their explosives. However, despite outward appearances, Hoodbooms are considered to be the most intelligent of all Hoodlums, as they are the only ones able to count to three. Hoodbooms are also known to write poetry.

Appearances
Hoodbooms first appear in Rayman 3, in the level Clearleaf Forest. They feature in every following level, with the exception of the Longest Shortcut, in which there are no enemies.

They also appear in some of the minigames, most notably Sentinel in which the player controls a Hoodboom guarding a tower from Knaaren with his explosives.

The Hoodstormer is a common member of the Hoodlum Army and is most recognised for its ability to fly. Despite being one of the smallest members, the Hoodstormer is one of the most irritating Hoodlums as its flying ability makes it difficult to attack - no direct combat can be made. In order to defeat this Hoodlum, one must fire individual lateral shots from distance. If the attacking distance is too close, or if only normal shots are fired, the Hoodstormer will dodge the shots by vertical movement. The Hoodstormer first appears in The Land of the Livid Dead, part 1.

Attack
Similarly to the Heckler, the Hoodstormer has been given a powerful gun box. This is strapped to the back of the Hoodlum and is operated in the same way: when the chain is pulled, consecutive shots will be fired at any given direction. However unlike the Heckler's, only three consecutive shots are fired per round.

Appearance
Unlike the conventional Hoodlum appearance, the Hoodstormer is legless. Fortunately its propeller (fastened to the top of its helmet) eradicates this problem as the Hoodstormer is constantly airborne. This Hoodlum also wears pilot glasses.
An entirely aquatic world was dreamed up for Rayman 3. This universe was inhabited by little animals called Zaqs who resembled jellyfish and other aquatic creatures. The universe was exploited by the Hoodlums who, in a lagoon, had set up a giant washing-machine (what else would you expect for beings made up wholly of cloth?). Rayman had to save the little Zaqs, because they were filled with washing-powder by the Hoodlums, then used to wash their laundry! Besides the Hoodlums there were eel-like and fish-like creatures who would attack Rayman.

Nevertheless, the development team didn't have enough time to create all the worlds that were initially planned, and this aquatic universe lacked rhythm compared to the others. It is speculated that the underwater bosslevel of Céloche in the Land of the Livid Dead is all that's left of it, it is also speculated that Céloche itself might have been a boss meant for the Aquatic World.

Early in its development, Rayman 2: The Great Escape was intended to be a 2D game, which would have been very similar to Rayman in terms of graphics and gameplay. This 2D game would have been released for the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation.

The game would have had a much stronger similarity to the original game that the final version did. The art style would have remained very similar to that of the first game, as would the gameplay, with a few notable additions.

All of the characters would have been limbless. Betilla, and possibly other Rayman characters, would have returned.

According to the EGM article, the game was due for release in the late Autumn of 1996.

It is unknown exactly how near the game was to completion, but it seems that its music had not yet been composed when the game was scrapped. However, EGM's article on the game stated that "it's already in a fairly advanced state - expect to see a preview next month".

Gameplay Mechanics
Rayman's telescopic fist would have been able to fly around more freely, and with greater momentum; punching and jumping in a certain way would even cause the fist to circle Rayman completely.

One new platforming element was the addition of a 'cowardly' platform, which would shrink away from Rayman in fear should he approach it. Punching the platform would create a sparkling connection between it and Rayman, which would prevent it from escaping while the connection endured. Very similar-looking (though otherwise completely different) platforms were found in the Game Boy Color version of Rayman. Perhaps the most significant alteration to the gameplay was that the levels were now two-layered; there was both a background and foreground. Enemies in the background could fire projectiles at Rayman while he was in the foreground, Rayman would be able to teleport himself between layers by activating a device that resembled a shower with a toilet-handle attached. This background-foreground system was quite similar to the one found in the games Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus.

Another new addition to the game were floating, purple bombs. These explosives could be moved around the area by Rayman's punches, but would detonate upon contact with Rayman or each other.

Another new object was a small floating box with a hand protruding from it; some of these boxes floated stationary, but others moved horizontally or vertically. When Rayman punched the hand, his fist would bounce off it; this would allow Rayman's fist to reach otherwise unaccessible spots, such as an out-of-the-way life statue, or let him his a floating bomb from another angle. It was even possible for the fist to be bounced around between multiple floating hands.

Tings would have appeared in the game; unlike the sparkling, blue Tings of the original game, these Tings would have been silvery and metallic, and reflected their surroundings, like small convex mirrors.

Life statues would also have returned.

Exit signs would have returned.

Red flying rings would have returned, although, strangely, they functioned the same as purple ones, in that they did not sink when Rayman grappled them.

Plot
The plot of the canceled game was probably similar to that of the final Rayman 2. While the canceled game seems to have featured worlds and characters more similar to those of the first game than the final Rayman 2, it appears that the game's story still revolved around Rayman and his friends fighting against an invading army of robots. Betilla the Fairy is shown locked behind bars in one image; presumably, this would have happened at some point in the game, and Rayman would have had to rescue her. The General would have been involved in the game's story, and probably would have played a much larger role than he did in the final version. It has been speculated that he was the game's villain, and was replaced by Razorbeard in the final game.

Enemies
*Pre-Henchman 800 - The primary enemies of the game were what was ultimately replaced by the Henchmen 800 in the final version. These were limbless, orange-coloured robotic soldiers, whose bodies were of a similar shape to that of the General. In their floating right hands, they held musket-like guns, which they could use to fire projectiles at Rayman (they could even fire at him from the background if he was in the foreground). The projectiles were similar to those fired by Space Mama from her rolling pin.

*Pre-Robot Dinosaur - Another enemy would have been a tall robotic dinosaur, which patrolled back and forth, breathing fire at Rayman if he came to close to it. Rayman could jump on the dinosaur's back if it was facing away from him, then flatten its metal head with his fists. The head could then be used as platform - that it, until the dinosaur recovered several seconds later. The Robot Dinosaur which Rayman encountered in the final version may have been inspired by this enemy.

*Flying pre-Robot Dinosaur - This game would also have featured winged, flying versions of the robotic dinosaurs; their 3D model was shown in a promotional video. Very little is known about them.

*Grenadier - These were limbless enemies, which seem to have been robots, wearing deranged smiles, with several large, red grenades strapped to their bodies. They were covered in soot from the explosions they caused, and had what looked like a sparadrap on their shoulder. The idea for these enemies seems to have been recycled somewhat by the Hoodbooms in Rayman 3.

*Grasshopper - This was a green, limbless, grasshopper-like enemy; it may have been just another part of the robot invasion, but it also could also have been the moths from the first Rayman game returning.

*Pink robot - A pink, yellow-eyed, limbless robot, with a resemblance to both the pre-Robot Dinosaur and the pre-Henchman 800. Nearly nothing is known about this enemy.

*TRONCO XR28 - A green, chainsaw-wielding, limbless robot, with a resemblance to the pre-Henchman 800 mentioned above. This appears to have been a powerful enemy, and may have even been a boss.

*The General - This character was initially set to appear in the 2D Rayman 2, but made only a cameo in the final 3D version, in which he sold the Grolgoth robot to Admiral Razorbeard. The General also appeared in the intro sequence of the PC version of Tonic Trouble. His willingness to allow Razorbeard access to the powerful Grolgoth so that he can destroy Rayman, as well as his appearance in a promotional video for the 2D Rayman 2, implies that the General may have originally been intended as an evil character for the game, possibly even the main villain.

*Monocle-wearer - This pale, grinning, evil-looking robot is shown in one image wearing a monocle on one eye and clutching a cage between two fingers. His role in the game is uncertain.

Playable PlayStation level
In the final 3D Sony PlayStation version of Rayman 2, the player can unlock a single level from the canceled 2D version of Rayman 2. This is done by collecting at least 90% of the Yellow Lums, then completing the Crow's Nest level. Since the PlayStation version of Rayman 2 has only 800 Yellow Lums to collect, the player only needs to collect 720 of them in order to access the level. The level takes place in a grassy environment with strange rock formations in the background, in addition to a cloudy, purple sky. Music from the Walk of Life level plays in the background, suggesting that the Rayman 2 soundtrack would have been used if this prototype has been made final.

An inspection of the files on the disc of the PlayStation version of Rayman 2 reveals a file called RAY.INF, which contains only the following French text:

///RayMan 2 PlayStation/version:01.12d/date:31 mai 1996/gravure:Vincent Greco/demande:equipe RM2 Sony/destinataire:equipe RM2 Sony/usage perso/derniere version/

Its meaning is unclear.
The Muddibog are lesser enemies from Rayman 3 in the Bog of Murk, they pop out of holes in the ground and throw stones at Rayman. Appearently Muddibog are faeces drawn to life (for reasons unknown) and would devour their parents from out of the toilet.

In the depelopment of Rayman 3 they were called the Mudis and had a slightly different appearence. They didn't throw stone but just some of their own mud or pooh. There also were colossal sized Mudis who would smash his big fists on the ground. In the final version of Rayman 3 they scrapped the gigantic Mudis and slightly changed the Mudis into the Muddibog.
An entirely aquatic world was dreamed up for Rayman 3. This universe was inhabited by little animals called Zaq who resembled jellyfish and other aquatic creatures.

The Goaty looked vaguely like an ibex, mainly stood on two legs and had a sheaplike head with long hanging ears. The Xowar, also known as the Xovar, is a species of gigantic gorilla from Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. It was planned to be the boss of the Clearleaf Forest level, and Rayman would have escaped the battle during a race/chase (viewed from the front), while doing his best to avoid certain obstacles (similar idea of the fight with Foutch in Rayman 2), but its size made it too difficult for the programmers to work with, so it was replaced by Master Kaag.

The Xowar can still be seen at three places in the final version of the game:

*In a secret room found just before the final Reflux fight in the Tower of the Leptys. In this secret room, generally known to players as the 'Xowar Secret', there are three room-sized (and unbreakable) cages, each containing a different scrapped character. One cage holds a tiny jumping blue bird, one holds an in-game model of a Flabar similar to the one in the intro video (except the one in the cage is blue), in the third cage is a Xowar running on a treadmill.

*In the arena of the Master Kaag battle in the Clearleaf Forest, there is a 'Wanted' poster depicting the Xowar. It has been speculated that the Hoodlums want him for his fur for their costumes or as an allie against Rayman.

*On one of Rayman 3s loading screens, a Xowar is shown, lining up with various Hoodlums for a police mugshot. A similar loading screen is presented in the demo version of Rayman 3.

A Hoodloon (Kagustick is his beta name) is a type of harmless flying Hoodlum encountered briefly in the Summit Beyond the Clouds in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, and whose costume is equipped with bat-like wings. The Hoodloons are so obsessed with their ability to fly that they spurn battle in favour of being "superheroes". It is possible but very hard to hit the Hoodloon.

At one point in the game's development, the Hoodloon was known as the Kagalpha, and it would actively attack Rayman. Its attack was fairly simple: equipped with a metal helmet, it would fly above Rayman, dealing out devastating "ball strikes". However, there was one obvious presentation problem with the character, linked to the choice of cameras. Furthermore, choices had to be made by the developers from all the Hoodlums on offer and, in the end, it was the Kagustick who was retained in preference to the Kagouflap. The Kagustick appears briefly in the Summit Beyond the Clouds, where it is seen playing at being a superhero by lifting Hoodlums with its mouth while flying.

The Glade of Dreams is an island in Rayman's world in which the events of Rayman 2: The Great Escape take place. The locations in Rayman M are similar to those in Rayman 2, and as such are also likely to be part of the Glade. The Glade was created by Polokus, the Spirit of the World, whose power is so great that his slightest dream or desire becomes reality. Surrounded by the Sea of Lums, the Glade is a beautiful location that hosts vast forests and mountainous areas, as well as swamps, rivers, valleys and cliffs. It is currently unknown whether the valley in which the events of the original Rayman game took place is part of the Glade of Dreams, or if the valley exists in another part of the world, perhaps far away from the Glade. The Glade of Dreams is not to be confused with the Crossroad of Dreams in which the events from Rayman 3 Take place.

The Glade is home to a variety of creatures, which come in two types - the Magical Beings, which bear an array of magical powers; and the people, which are not magical at all but still keep peace, order and comic relief to the land. Unlike the people from the previous game, all of which were limbless, these people have at least two limbs. There are also the Lums, which the island depends on to keep balanced as they are the sources of life and energy. Rayman is the only being in this land who was not created by Polokus, but is also the only one who can receive powers from the Fairies.

With the possible exception of the original Rayman and its spin-offs, all Rayman games take place on this island, so very little is known about the rest of Rayman's planet. The planet has two moons, one of which is larger than the other; these can be seen prominently at certain points in Rayman 3 and Rayman 1. However, there are points in both Rayman 1 and Rayman 2 during which there appears to be only one moon, suggesting that their orbits may be rather different. Rayman's planet is part of a solar system with two yellow suns, one of which is larger than the other; these can both be seen in Rayman 3, but not in Rayman 1, and only in some parts of Rayman 2, making it seem likely that the smaller sun orbits the larger one. The menu for Rayman M shows various parts of the solar system, including a sun, a moon, and two planets. One planet, which is covered in greenish-blue clouds, may be the planet on which the Glade of Dreams exists; the other planet appears to be dry and desert-like. The solar system is part of a galaxy throughout which Admiral Razorbeard is known and feared for having reduced over one hundred peaceful planets to cosmic dust. There are also a great many points in each game in which stars are visible in the sky, and the Yellow Lums in Rayman 2 inform Rayman that there are other gods which exist on other "worlds", all of which suggests that Rayman's universe may be far more vast than that which is shown in the games.
It is very large and classical mansion with many statues inside including a statue of Sssssam, piranhas and a statue of Razoff riding a Goaty (a scrapped character from the game). There are also several creatures to be found chained-up in his mansion; if Rayman frees these creatures they give him Red Lums before flying away.

The Xowar can still be seen at two places in the final version of the game:

1. In a secret room found just before the final Reflux fight in the Tower of the Leptys.

2. In Clearleaf Stadium, the area of Clearleaf Forest in which Rayman fights Master Kaag, there is a 'Wanted' poster depicting the Xowar. It has been speculated that the Hoodlums want him for his fur for their costumes.

On one of Rayman 3s loading screens, a Xowar is shown, lining up with various Hoodlums for a police mugshot. A similar loading screen is presented in the demo version of Rayman 3.
